HP (Hewlett-Packard) Deskjet 8600 printer
1 Star Review   By anonymous - Nov 28, 2014

Dealing with HP has once again been one of the most frustrating experiences I have ever experienced in relation to a consumer product. It was determined in early November that the copy carriage was defective on the printer I purchased in April of this year. After three hours on the phone and several different techs and then a manager, it was decided that the printer needs to be replaced. I received the replacement (refurbished) printer three weeks later (11/25/14) which ensued an additional 3.5 hours trying to get this printer to even function properly. The final resolution was that in order for this refurbished printer to work properly that I was going to have to purchase a HP ink cartridge and HP would have to charge me $35.00 (which was supposed to be a discounted rate - REALLY!). I insisted that HP needed to send me one HP black cartridge for free or at least give me a reasonably discounted price as it was not my fault that my original printer was defective. I was then transferred to a manager, David, who was not rude, but instead I had the impression that he was just pacifying me and was not willing to offer me a reasonable resolution to this problem. He insisted that he already did me a favor by sending me a replacement and was not willing to send me a HP ink cartridge unless I paid the $35.00. I really believe that I should not have to pay for the ink cartridge since it was not my fault that the printer copy carriage was defective and had nothing to do with the type of ink I was using. I totally agree that the warranty would be void if the ink had something to do with the defect. This is not the case, the printer worked perfectly as long as I was printing from the computer or from the auto feed. If I made a copy using the flat bed then the print would have lightened areas within the body of the document. This occurred only when I tried to copy original printouts. I take offense that HP was doing me any favors since the printer is still under warranty. The problem I had been experiencing is with making copies off my original printed documents which was determined to be a carriage problem, not an ink problem. Since it took over three hours to get the replacement printer to work with my computer (and this was the day before Thanksgiving so I am sure you are aware that I had way too much to prepare for to be sitting on the phone all this time). I was very frustrated and apologize for my poor attitude, but this is not the first time I have had problems with an HP printer. Prior to the 8600 model that is giving me problems, I had a 7700 model that had to be replaced three times. This was very difficult for me since I have a bad back and had to get someone to help me repack the defective printer and get it back to HP. I swore I would never buy another HP but I thought that the newer model would not give me problems. I was wrong. I had someone help me pack up the defective model and take it to FedX today. I will never go through this again. Next time the printer has a problem, it goes in the trash. The frustration I endured over this printer is not worth it. Next time I will simply go out and purchase a Brother or Cannon printer. I will definitely purchase one that doesn’t weight as much so it doesn’t pull my back out getting it up and down 16 steps.

Not a Happy Camper
1 Star Review   By anonymous - Aug 1, 2014

My HP Photosmart 6520 is a few years old, but I have finally had enough. I cannot get it to print photos. I am using HP photo paper, but it doesn't recognize the 4x6 stock. It keeps trying to print to letter size paper. I have gone and reset all the print buttons to the correct paper size. I finally gave up and printed to a letter size photo paper. It won't pull it through. I can hear it trying, but it just says, "no paper". I can sometimes get it to print, but I have been dealing with this since purchasing it. I have had it. After contacting support with no success, (they say I have a computer problem. I have NO trouble printing to plain paper.) I am going to buy something other than an HP.

Not my first HP printer. This is another printer that does a very good job. Easy to set up. Packing for shipping was very good, no lose parts when arrived. The display screen was better than I expected. Easy to see and use.

Love the printer, but...
4 Star Review   By JWchancer on HP - May 11, 2013

While the printer makes good prints and copies: This is clearly designed for a savvy wireless user, and also is adequate for an old-timer. The unit's info says it can FAX, but since it does not connect to the phone, nor is there a phone cord receiver on the printer, the FAX they are referring to requires an Esomething subscription. I will not subscribe to something else. And I wonder how one would receive a FAX if the sender did not subscribe to same service? Deceptive. Of course there is no paper instruction manual!

Great printer, speed and color.
5 Star Review   By Fireboy on HP - May 10, 2013

The quality and clearity of photos, faxes, copies and scans is great. I was surprised at that because of the speed it printed any of the methods used. I had thought as it was printing, "man, this isn't good, it's way to fast for good quality". I was wrong. Set up was very easy, I only had one issue setting up the "efax" part(probably mine), which was resolved perfectly. Totally satisfied with quality, features and price. PS. I'm not a genius, (especially with computers) but if you can read, you can install this in a snap. Unpacking it was harder! Thanks HP, have a great day.

Not so good
4 Star Review   By Bob06902 on HP - May 10, 2013

I had a lot of trouble locating the product number and I tried to access help via customer service. It was tedious and unsatisfying. I finally did locate the Product number on the outside of the packing case, not where I was directed to look on the ID label attached to the rear of the printer. I believe I'll need to purchase a USB cable to hook up with my laptop. WINDOWS 8 seems to be a problem. I am an enthusiastic supporter of H-P and I'm confident I will, eventually, enjoy my Photosmart 6520.

5 Star Review   By nahanni47 on HP - Apr 23, 2013

I chose this printer because it would wirelessly print from my HP laptop AND from my IPad. Though there were many models to choose from that had the same capability, this one was attractive, reviews were good and the price was excellant for the quality. Upon delivery, the set-up was relatively easy. It worked immediately with my laptop and iPad. My husband had to download drivers for his Toshiba laptop, but that was not difficult. This little printer has all of the features I wanted and performs well.

A step up from previous printer.
4 Star Review   By eddie58 on HP - Apr 23, 2013

My 6520 was a step-up from the 5514 printer...photo quality was about the same, but the touchscreen features were very helpful. Cost of this printer from the old one was just a few dollars more...$20 Printhead longevity, must be addressed by HP...cannot remove and clean at user end, and steps were taken to clean the exposed areas, to no avail.

This printer, copier, scanner was so easy to set up it almost took itself out of the box. Just follow the simple instructions on the CD and it's ready to go. If you can plug the cord in, you can do it. The quality of the product and it's performance is outstanding. The only issue I had was setting up the e-fax. Cannot seem to get to the phone number for some reason.

Awesome Printer
5 Star Review   By Novice33 on HP - Apr 21, 2013

My husband was always the one to take care of our computer needs. With his passing and our printer recently stop working it was left for me to pick out a new one. We had so many great years with our last HP that I knew that was what I wanted again. I checked out the website and knew that we wanted wireless. I read the reviews and this one everyone seemed to love. I took the chance. I am not sorry I did. I am a total novice when it comes to this stuff but found the directions very easy to understand and be able to set the printer up. I am working on getting it setup on my laptop but feel there will be no issues. The print quality is great from the start and has continued to be. Cost of replacement ink is still reasonable as far as ink goes and in comparison to other brands. Love my new printer.

With three I-phones plus three laptops/tablets in the home, this was the perfect solution. Everyone can scan, print from their respective device, without a hitch. I recommend you download two apps, one the HP ePrint, and also "Printer Control" app, They have different functions but together they give you total control.

This unit has hardware problems.
3 Star Review   By jc36 on HP - Apr 19, 2013

Am having trouble with unit. It is making a grinding sound intermittently after copying and/or printing. I called HP support and reported this yesterday (4/18/13). We could not get it to do it while on phone with support - I have a svc number which I will use when this problem occurs again. Sounds like hardware failure and I do not want to keep this unit if this is the problem. I should get a replacement unit and I can send this back. I received it on 4/11/13.

I cannot see and read the menu panel, even with a magnifying glass. How do I know what the features mean? Can it print full page photos without borders? The items need to display more clearly, and larger. Are the scans high resolution? I have low vision. I do not use the mobile phone aps.

Not easy
3 Star Review   By Grama2001 on HP - Apr 13, 2013

This printer is easy to set up and when you get it to print, quality is great. The problem is Windows 8. I have two old printers that will not work with Windows 8 so I bought this one to be able to print with my new hp computer. I have gotten it to print but the process is complicated and time consuming. When you are on a page even if the print option is there, nothing happens when you tap print. No print with control p either. It seems the only way to get anything printed is to create a file and put it in a folder. This seems a lot of trouble when you just want to print an email or other photo or document from the page you are on. I will be spending time with hp as soon as I have the time to contact their service dept. there are no instructions to solve problems like this and the troubleshooting solutions do not cover "how to get the pint command" and then make it work!

I love this printer!
4 Star Review   By cmgovier on HP - Apr 11, 2013

This printer is really something. The wireless works great (I have 4 computers wanting to print) and it was easy to set up. It connected to my router with no problems, which is great since two of my computers don't have wireless. I also love the eprint capabilities. I can print to the printer from anywhere. It's FAX capabilities are limited since you can only receive FAXes. To sent FAXes you have to pay a fee/month which makes no since for me since I only have to send a FAX once every couple of years! I got this printer rather than the one with full FAX capability due to the small footprint since I have limited space. It scans and prints beautifully. It prints double sided which will save me a lot of time when I print a newsletter for our local charity group. You can add apps to the printer but I haven't used that yet. Most of the apps are for children. I would be great if they had a Greeting Card app (for grownups).

Love This Printer
5 Star Review   By prettypak on HP - Apr 5, 2013

This is my 1st wireless printer and I am very pleased. I researched printers for some time and settled on the 6520 due to the scan, copy, print, eprint capability. I was hesitant due to problems I had heard about connecting printer to a wireless network. No worries with the 6520. Set up was extremely easy and fast. Had no problems at all with setup. Print and copies look great. Eprint was east to set up and works flawlessly. A big thank you to HP for the prompt processing of my order and shipping. Received within 3 days after placing order. Very pleased with my purchase.

Good Value for Versatile Printer
4 Star Review   By alamedaDad on HP - Mar 27, 2013

Set-up was extremely easy, was able to 'Bluetooth" it to two laptops so both of them can print now. After only a week of ownership, haven't done enough print jobs to comment on over all performance, but "so far, so good", the print test for both regular and photos are of decent quality for a printer at this price.

5 Star Review   By buddy2013 on HP - Mar 24, 2013

I read reviews that say that there is nothing to catch the paper that comes out but there defiantly IS a paper catcher that slides out. The printer arrived a day after i ordered it, so that was great. It prints really nice pictures and work well for printing from my iPad. Very happy with the printer so far.

Seems to work as advertised
4 Star Review   By lucy20 on HP - Mar 18, 2013

I haven't had the printer long enough to see how much ink it uses, but so far everything works well. I am unhappy that there is no extension to catch the paper and it ends up on the floor after printing, but it is not a big problem. I still haven't figured out how to get the fax to work but haven't spent much time on it. The directions are not very clear. The pictures are great and the wireless works well from my computer and cell phone.

This printer has excellent print quality, but the paper tray is difficult to position. If it is not in perfect place, the printer will not work. The tray needs to be more easily placed for the new user. Once I learned how to place it, I didn't have any difficulty.

Great e-printer/great price
5 Star Review   By Mommy32578 on HP - Mar 9, 2013

Not being able to print from our mobile devices/iPads were driving me crazy. I searched and found this e-printer that seemed to be the solution to replace our current non-eprinters. This printer is so easy to use and set up... Basically I plugged it in and it was ready to go. No other cords are necessary! How cool is that! A couple of presses to set things up which the menu walks you through, turn on your mobile device and poof, the printer shows up and is ready to print. We ended up putting this printer downstairs where we do all of our device printing, so we don't need to go upstairs to the office and retrieve our printouts. This printer even duplex prints! The touch screen makes navigation super easy. The best part was that the HP store had it on sale, and then with a coupon code it made it the least expensive that i could find on the Internet by far, for this printer.

Great, Fast Printer
5 Star Review   By CharlesN on HP - Mar 7, 2013

I upgraded from a 4 year old C6830 because it died. The 6520 has a lower model number, but is a much better printer. Wireless setup was a breeze and only took a few minutes. The resistive touch screen was nice to enter in my password. You have to press a little hard to get the touch to register, but it's not bad. The MacBook automatically recognized the printer, as did the iPad. Installing the drivers on the Windows 7 box took some time, but was painless. After setting up ePrint, emailing documents to the printer should come in handy. I also installed the ePrint app on my Android and printed a page from the internal web browser. Scanning is quick and easy, though on Mac, I haven't found out how to make a multi-page PDF yet. It's easy to do on Windows. Documents print quickly, and the double-sided printing is a cool addition. Photos come out vibrant and professional. This printer is amazing for the price.

Product super easy to use with good quality copies
5 Star Review   By AEROBICGAL47 on HP - Mar 6, 2013

I was very pleasantly suprised when the HPPhotosmart 6520 arrived at my home within two days of ordering, Although I had help from my tech savy daughter for the set-up, it went smoothly. ( It was easier to ask her than to figure it out on my own.) I love the ease of use especially the photo printing, I read that others had issues with the photo print paper needing to be HP but I've used Kodak print paper with it working fine. I only wish that photo prints were larger than 4x6 . Great printer for home office use.

Nice, but had to send it back
4 Star Review   By Lea58 on HP - Mar 5, 2013

The printer was very nice, printed lovely photos, and was sleek and not too large, but I couldn't print on custom size page. The printer would not accept the paper. Since it wouldn't accept the paper, you couldn't even use a different print driver to setup the custom size. I had to exchange it for the 7520, which accepts the custom size paper (I still had to setup a printer using an older printer driver to get it to let me define the custom size paper, but at least I could do that with the 7520).

Good, but Most WiFi Printing Doesn't Work
3 Star Review   By PinkLobster on HP - Mar 3, 2013

This is a good printer. It has served me well for the past couple weeks, but I will say that the ability to print wirelessly lasted all of 24 hours. It was working great the first night I set it up, but then the following night when I had to print out a project, the printer could not be found. I have looked up ways that supposedly can help, but to no avail, nothing was solved. I happen to have a cord that connects my laptop to the printer, but that means I am the only one who can print from it at this point. My sister's 2004 Mac won't find it nor will it download the software. My father's iPad won't print to it even though it can find it. So far we are still able to send and print via the email option (if you email the printer it will print as long as it is connected to the wireless network). Set up was about as extensive as the last HP printer I set up. Print quality is acceptable for college paperwork. Pictures come out good. I haven't printed out on photo paper yet. Touchscreen works great. It comes with some applications that I don't need, but could come in handy in the future. If wireless printing worked, I would love this printer. Since it doesn't, I can't say I would recommend this printer any more than any other printer.

Inferior product
1 Star Review   By PaulB57 on HP - Mar 1, 2013

I had an older HP photosmart printer for a number of years and was very happy with the performance and quality of the output, especially photos. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of thinking the newer model would offer equal performance and quality. This was not the case. There must be problems with the print head design, because the output always has lines across the paper, which is especially problematic when you want to output a quality picture. I made all the necessary print head adjustments and cleaning processes recommended, but the lines persist. When printing excel based graphs, part of the output lines are also ignored and do not print. I would not recommend this printer, especially if you want to print qualtiy pictures.

This product did not work.
1 Star Review   By jan1 on HP - Feb 28, 2013

We have always used HP products and been very satisfied. This year we have sent two products back in a months time. The printer with first time use, when printing from the photo tray, made a loud cracking sound and then a grinding sound all the time that it printed. The grinding eventually stopped for the most part, but the loud cracking at the beginning of printing did not stop. Several hours were spent with tech support between my son calling, my trying to chat and finally talking to a tech. The unit is being replaced. We had just bought an HP notebook that did not work when we turned it on the first time. We were very dissatisfied that it was not replaced, but only repaired. We will think twice about buying HP again.

Love the auto duplex printing
5 Star Review   By Dawning on HP - Feb 28, 2013

The 6520 e-All-In-One was easy to set up and connections were painless. It has been used for only a couple of weeks but so far it has been terrific. I've probably printed over 75 pages painlessly so far and printed one photo with great color. Otherwise I draft print for ink savings and the print is easy to read. I am hopeful that it will continue to excel for our home usage.

Print quality is excellent
4 Star Review   By Anna63 on HP - Feb 25, 2013

The 6520 Photosmart printer produces quality prints. This is my third Photosmart printer - I wore out the first two. The 6520 is just a little bit noisier than the 8120 that I previously had. The print out-feed tray on this model is in my opinion flimsy & cheaply designed compared to my prior printer's tray. All in all, I am happy with the 6520 so far. I especially like that I can set it to turn off automatically.

Great Service
5 Star Review   By GreatFo on HP - Feb 7, 2013

I am writing this review for the great customer service I received. My old printer, Photosmart 6510, quit printing properly. I made a call to the customer service department at HP and they determined, after trying several tests, that the printhead was not working as it should. They offered, at no cost to me, to replace the entire printer with an upgrade to the Photosmart 6520. They also shipped the printer to me with overnight delivery, also at no cost to me. The ease of connecting this printer to my computer was amazing. The copies I'm able to print are outstanding. I just wanted to give the customer service folks a "shout out" and thank them for the great service they provided me.

I like the printer
5 Star Review   By zippo on HP - Jan 20, 2013

The printer works flawlessly. It is a little noisy, but the set up is not as simple as the directions seem to make it. I finally had to call in a technician to make it work correctly. As I have a cabinet that would have fit the printer perfectly had the cord plugged into the side rather than the back, or if there was a cord that fit flat against the back, I now cannot close the door all the way. Am thinking of making a small hole in the wall.

Great Printer
5 Star Review   By FlGal55 on HP - Jan 19, 2013

I purchased this particular printer because my previous printer was also a photosmart which I loved. I had to replace it because it would not work with Windows 8, which is on the new computer I just got. This new photosmart also prints beautiful photos, which is the primary reason why I wanted it; I print lots of photos & want good quality. This printer does a good job of printing regular documents also. It is very quiet compared to other printers I've had, & is quite user friendly. One of the features I like about it is that there are 2 paper trays; 1 to keep regular paper in & 1 to put photo paper in. I do love this feature, however, I was disappointed that I cannot load the photo paper tray with paper larger than 5"x7". To make larger photos, I must replace my regular paper with photo paper & change the settings so it knows what tray to pull the paper from. The quality of prints makes this only a minor inconvenience, but I would like to suggest that HP make the next generation of this printer to accept up to full page size photo paper in the photo paper tray. Nevertheless, I highly recommend this printer to anyone who needs lab quality photos; you won't be disappointed in the quality.

4 Star Review   By Dragontattoo48 on HP - Jan 18, 2013

Plus, if I wanted I could have just loaded everything off the set-up disk. The test print was vivd and clear. And the 2 sided print feature works awesome. All in all a very nice printer.

Excellent value and performs above price point
5 Star Review   By lmkaufman on HP - Jan 18, 2013

I have been an exclusive user of HP printers for decades now. Purchased this unit to replace a c6380 which had similar features but started developing some ink system issues (purely my fault). Was extremely satisfied right out of the box with the ease of setup of the wireless linking. Integrated right into the home network with all of the computers and devices. Love the added features of double sided printing and eprint and the consolidation of the black cartridges (compared to the c6380). Great buy and will continue to use and recommend HP for both laser and ink.

Exceeded Expectations
5 Star Review   By DrChris on HP - Jan 17, 2013

I purchased this printer to replace an older HP Photosmart and eliminate the need for a separate scanner. The old printer produced awesome pictures, but it has 6 individual inks so I was a little concerned about the picture quality of the 6520 because it only has 4. However, after I received it and set it all up, I printed the test photo image and it came out great, so I'm sure it will meet my needs. Printer Setup: This was pretty easy. The hardest part was getting all the tape and packaging off the printer. After that, I simply had to plug it up and follow the onscreen instructions. Installed the ink, setup the Wi-Fi connection, turned on the web services, and was ready to go. Took about 10-15 minutes. Only having 1 cord, power supply, to hookup was wonderful!!! Driver Install: This took a bit of time. It comes with a CD but I opted to install from the web to get the updated software/drivers. Setup the account with HP to register the product. Then setup the account to register the printer with an email address so i can email print jobs to the printer. Then I setup the free eFax service so I can send/receive faxes from the printer (which wasn't something I thought I would use, but I am). The downside of the free eFax is you may not get a fax number local to your area... but it's free. You can pay to select a different number. Then, I had to run the driver install on the other computers... FYI, the printer account can only be linked to 1 person, so be aware of that when you set it up, especially if you restrict the email accounts that can send things to the printer for printing (which I would recommend doing). Usage: I have been using it now for a couple of weeks. I don't do a lot of printing at home, but I have already used it several times (mostly making copies). Making copies was always a hassel before because the scanner was only hooked up on 1 computer (not mine) so I had to use that computer to scan the documents and then print them out. I tested out the free eFax service and it worked like a charm. I have only printed one 5x7 photo but it turned out great. I haven't tried printing directly from the printer using the memory card slots, but I imagine that will be as easy as the other printer (maybe better considering the larger color screen). Cost: I did some price shopping before purchasing and the "best" price I had found was at Sam's Club. However, I happened to check the HP store and noticed it was on-sale for about the same price, then I found a coupon code which allowed me to purchase the printer for $99 with free shipping and a bonus pack of 10 holiday 5x7 photo paper with envelopes (which I can use next year at Christmas). I would definitely recommend this printer as a good all-in-one for the general purpose user. The free eFax service is a bonus that will come in handy on those rare occassions I need to send/receive a fax.

I love this 6520 e printer because it has a lot of great features. I like the wireless hookup, duplex printing, eprint capability, efax, and separate photo tray. Also, it has 4 separate print cartridges which helps keep printing costs down. I have my HP laptop and HP desktop hooked up to this printer and they both work well. The only problem I have had is trying to print envelopes and I always get our error message saying I have a paper mismatch. I can get around the problem, but am still trying to resolve it. This is my 4th HP printer and I have always had good results from all of them.

Terrific
5 Star Review   By SallieB on HP - Jan 13, 2013

I love it - user friendly. intuitive - this thing is terrific. Print quality excellent - I am especially impressed by its ease of use. I was wary of my ability to install something so different from my old printer but it practically installs itself.

My best printer yet!
5 Star Review   By john73 on HP - Jan 12, 2013

Ordered and received my HP Photosmart 6520 without any problems. Very satisfied with the installation - easily accomplished and put to work immediately printing and haven't had any difficulties that can sometimes occur with a change of computer equipment. Love the quality of the color and black and white printing.

Didn't care for

Though the features was what I was looking for. The picture quality wasn't there like the other HP printer I had. Color was not as bright or clear. Sent it back.

Great Features in the 6520
4 Star Review   By Dawg1958 on HP - Jan 7, 2013

Overall, its a good, "feature rich" printer, print sped and quality are great! The dual paper tray, holding regular paper and a small amout of 4x6 photo paper is very useful. Setup and installation instructionsd are a bit "sparse" and could use more detail and explanation. From package open setup of printer, installation across a desktop PC and 2 laptops, (XP, Vista and Windows 8) along with successful testing took about 2.5 - 3 hours. More detailed instructions would have most lileky reduced this time quite a bit. If there is a large amout of printing to be done, this may not be the most cost effective printer for you, as the per page cost is higher than many others. For us its home use, and we have had 2 previous HP Printers, so its difficult to justify switching to another brand, as HP has been strong with us so far. The foot print is good, not too large a device, still fits comfortably into a home office environment without being too large, yet provides all the functionality of the larger printers. Overall, It does what it claims to do, and does it very well. Once again HP rocks!!!

Very nice printer, easy to set up.
4 Star Review   By Nadinew on HP - Jan 6, 2013

This is a very nice printer and it is very easy to set up. I am not a expert when it comes to computers and printers, but this almost did the job itself. Very happy with my purchase.

Crisp clear, brilliant color photos
5 Star Review   By griffy on HP - Dec 29, 2012

I purchased this printer mostly for printing photos. Excellent printer for photo printing. The printer does make alot of noise and takes a bit longer to start printing compared to my Dell printer. I am already getting use to the noise, not a big deal. I would recommand this printer.

Outstanding!
5 Star Review   By joseou812 on HP - Dec 29, 2012

Unpacking and setup took about an hour or so. After installing software, you have to use touchscreen on printer to setup wifi password for your internet router. I used the cd to install on other computers I have here with no problem. Color printing, 4x6 photos are quick. even black and white on plain paper is fast. I like the fact that the printer holds both photo paper and plain paper in seperate slots in paper tray. this comes in handy when you want to print either and don't have unload one type and load the type of paper you want to print on.

So far, so good
5 Star Review   By arh55 on HP - Dec 29, 2012

Fairly easy set up, I have been able to use it with both desk top and laptops(3) in household quite easily. The "scan" and 2-sided print functions have been most helpful.

Small, Quiet Printer
5 Star Review   By Claude1929 on HP - Dec 28, 2012

I now have 2 HP printers. My 6500 is used for general faxing, scanning and printing mostly black products. The Photosmart 6520 does all of my photo printing which is easy to use and the pictures are amazing without using photo ink. My only regret was I programmed printing envelopes and cannot find in the manual letting me make the correct settings. A good quiet and fast printer for my personal use.

No real problems
3 Star Review   By rjcrepair on HP - Dec 27, 2012

My complait is you dont have the paper catcher shown as a seperate part to the printer. Then after set up, I had no letter typing program on Windows 7 that would have HP steps for easy printing selection for photo feed and paper feed. I manage to develope 3 steps to do this but can never print buy selecting the printer Icon. I called HP and basicly receive "We can't help you" Robert

Reliable
5 Star Review   By ervie on HP - Dec 25, 2012

My HP 5180 served me faithfully for the past six years and would probably go on for another, but I needed a printer that would print on both sides of the paper. My new HP 6520, which I just put up and running, is a mechanical marvel. I don't know how HP can continue with their improvements and still keep the price so low.

Great Printer for iMac
5 Star Review   By Sandyh9 on HP - Dec 25, 2012

So far, I am loving this new printer and all of its features. The only downside is that the ink cartridges cost as much as the printer . . . but that is just about true of them all these days. I am hoping that the cartridges last a long time. Really like the touch screen on the front of the printer and the fact that the printer automatically turns off if there is no activity for two hours. Wondering though how I would turn it on from my iPad if I were not at home???

HP Photosmart printer
4 Star Review   By chucknjen on HP - Dec 23, 2012

HP has refined the site and delivery well enough that it is almost a pleasure to order things from them now. The free delivery is great. I have found lower prices on HP products on other sites before, but I order from the HP site most of the time because of the free delivery. The printer took a little longer to set up than I expected, but once it was it worked very well. I love the 2 sided printing option. The print quality is very good also. I normally use a laptop as my desktop is a few years old and uses Vista, so it is very slow. That makes the wireless printing come in very handy. I am very happy with this printer, much more so than the previous HP printer that I had.

Very Good
5 Star Review   By Buttonpusher on HP - Dec 23, 2012

Printer was very easy to set-up, Best feature was uses same ink as old printer. The one thing I hate is always changing cart, so you have to get rig of the old ones.
