Apple Airport Express Review
4.5 Star Review  about.com - Dec 31, 1969

The Apple Airport Express is the perfect accessory for anyone who lives in more than one room and has an iTunes library. This little box is affordable and so easy to use that if you really enjoy music and want to streamline your home audio set up to include just a computer and speakers in various rooms (especially if you’ve got an iPod touch or iPhone), you pretty much need to have it.

Apple AirPort Express Base Station (802.11n)
3.5 Star Review  cnet.com - Mar 19, 2008

THE GOOD: New, faster 802.11n wireless standard; same price as the original model; audio streaming capability remains unique; imminently portable because of its small size; easy setup. THE BAD: Not as fast as other 802.11n routers; cant connect an external hard drive to the USB port; no Ethernet ports for wired clients. THE BOTTOM LINE: Dont pick up a new, 802.11n-enabled AirPort Express if youre looking for superfast wireless networking performance. You should consider it, however, if youre in the market for a new Wi-Fi router that offers portability, ease of use, and the unique ability to stream iTunes over your network.

Love my AirPort Express!
5 Star Review   By member hilsachs - Sep 10, 2009

Strengths: Totally user-friendly, like all Apple products. Works great, all the time.

Weakness: None.

I wish I had bought Airport Express much sooner! I had been hesitant to go wireless, thinking it would be a big hassle. Instead, I opened the box, plugged it in, and within 5 minutes all 3 computers in our house were on our new network. I took it with me to CA and plugged it in at my Mom's house, and was thrilled to use my Mac Book there, something I'd never thought of doing before. I love my AirPort Express!

Not so Great!
1 Star Review

Strengths: Sure lot of HYPE and APPLE name!

Weakness: I got a refurbished AIRPORT EXPRESS BASE UNIT to work with my iBook G4 and lo and behold! The bloody thing is not detected on the install utility so therefore, as far as it goes "DOESN'T EXIST!

Try getting help from APPLE. If you can jump through all the hoops and barriers and finally get some where! HA! Good Luck!. When I went to APPLE from MS PCs I believed all their BS! Not anymore, mate! Try something else is my advise. Very PO'd about the WHOLE experience! SORRY but that's MY STORY

Great Product
5 Star Review   By member caesar113 - Jul 22, 2008

Strengths: Easy Configuration, Compact Size

Weakness: Doesn't charge 3G iPhone

Great little wireless router. I was debating between this and the Linksys compact wireless router. At the same price point, the Apple product had 802.11n, so it was a no brainer. The USB port will charge your iPod as well, but unfortunately must not supply enough amperage for the 3G iPhone (although does work for the original iPhone). I use the device in hotel rooms for business travel and it works perfect for my needs.
