I trusted Shuttle's name when I...

Weakness: Faulty right after 12 months

I trusted Shuttle's name when I decided to buy this motherboard. But it turned out to be a big mistake. Right after 12 months, it became problematic. It could only run at 200MHz FSB instead of 266MHz, although the CPU seems perfectly fine on other motherboards. Even at the lower FSB, the PC might still shut down by itself. Since it's passed the warranty period, I wouldn't bother to send it to...

This is an excellent product for...

Strengths: Well-designed motherboard. All your necessary features without the more expensive add-on ones you probably would never use, but wind up paying extra for anyway (like RAID and SATA). Fired right up.

Weakness: Absolutely none.

This is an excellent product for the price. You won't be disappointed even though Shuttle is not a major player in the M/B market and is somwhat of an unknown to many people. The $52 price was quite modest given the board's capabilities and manufactured quality. It supports a variety of bus and memory speeds and the only thing that will make this board obsolete is that it doesn't support the...

This is one of the best...

Strengths: Nforce2 Chipsets, Cheap price, Cool color

Weakness: None

This is one of the best motherboards I have bought. It is very stable and contains Nforce2 Chipsets. Very good for overclocking your PC. I recommend this motheroboard for budget PC's. In addition, its cool blue color is so attractive!

Another well designed mainboard...

Strengths: Support for 400MHz FSB and DDR; no mainboard clutter; complete manual; driver CD; overclocking capabilities.

Weakness: No SATA or RAID; only three RAM slots, thus only two can be used for Dual Channel DDR (typical of nForce 2 boards); marginal sound chipset.

Another well designed mainboard from a quiet yet effective player in the mainboard marketplace. Their boards are rock solid and come without the hype and expense of the big boys on the block. An experienced system builder/integrator will appreciate the simplicity of the layout and probably will have no need to consult the manual. For the newbie (DIY), the detailed manual and driver CD will...

I needed an inexpensive board for...

Strengths: Plenty of features, not too expensive. In my opinion, the best budget nForce2 Ultra 400 motherboard out there (AN35n Ultra).

Weakness: None as of yet. Can't count things like no RAID or SATA controllers or no Firewire, because it's not expected to have them.

I needed an inexpensive board for my 2500+ system. Research seemed to say that this board had plenty of features for me, was at a low enough price, and it was reccomended in several articles and many reviews. Plus, many of the reviewers, who were first time DIY like me, had a positive and easy experience with this product. I am happy to say that I as well had a pleasant and smooth experience. The...
