Very nice board, seems to be...

Strengths: Very straight forward installation. Had no problems with anything thus far.

Weakness: Wished it handled faster RAM. No firewire, but I don't use anything with firewire. Fans, board fan, dual power supply fan, combined with CPU fan makes for a noisy environment.

Very nice board, seems to be working extremely well, although, my floppy drive burned up. I don't think that was board related. This is the first computer I ever assembled and was amazed at the ease. I had no compatibility issues with windows XP or any hardware I installed thus far. Make sure you get a 400W power supply or bigger for P4 processors. Definately recommend putting a heat sink on the...

Decent, but not great, PC2002Mark...

Strengths: Seems pretty fast - good PC2002Mark scores.

Weakness: No IEEE1394 Firewire ports, manual could be better written, unstable USB 2.0 performance - mouse and joy stick lock up periodically. LAN won't work at gigabit speeds - fine at 100Mbits.

Decent, but not great, PC2002Mark Scores. Gigabyte doesn't seem to offer any tech support other than FAQ and even that comes up in Chinese. Returned one board because of the USB problem. The board periodically locks up with the ATI 9700 AIW I have installed in the system. All drivers updated but still locks up. The LAN problem bugs me. I have other boards that work fine at gigabit speeds so it is...

Easy set up - my first DIY and I...

Strengths: Has EVERYTHING on the MoBoard -easy to install - no jumpers to set - will not be out of date tommorow

Weakness: On board sound didn't like Sound Blaster Platinum card - both the on board and the Sound Blaster compeat at 1st sign on to XP - On Board was turned off in BIOS - Actually, on board sounds better!

Easy set up - my first DIY and I had no problems. Bought all new stuff - latest and greatest. DVD+RW, modem, Cable modem, 1GB memory, CD+RW, Nvidia FX video card, etc. 2.8GH Pentium 4, 3 hard drives

Strengths: Looks and advanced extras on the motherboard.

Weakness: Does not have a 8XAGP PRO slot, only a 8XAGP slot.

I waited for over one month for the motherboard to arrive. When the motherboard arrived I put together my new computer to only find out that the motherboard was DOA. Zip. Zero. Nada.

When I turned it on my power...

When I turned it on my power supply blew and fried everything plugged into the board. I am an engineer and have been assembling computers for about 10 years. I depend on fast computers for my company which does animation for court room presentation. I am not sure if it was the power supply or mother board. I have had power supplies fail with no damage to the system. I have never seen this happen....
