Great motherboard. I plugged in...

Strengths: Ease of use. Overclocking. SATA.

Weakness: Instant Music feature.

Great motherboard. I plugged in all my components and it booted up on first attempt. Serial ATA is great. No big Ribbon cables. Comes with everything you need. Can't figure out the instant music feature, but my computer is always on when I want to play music, so it doesn't present a problem. Easy, easy overclocking. Set it to 10, 20, or 30% over, and you're all set.

I am using this motherboard with...

Strengths: Stable, stable and stable

Weakness: none

I am using this motherboard with P4 2.8 and 1G memory to run modeling programs. Both windows xp and SuSE linux have been installed in this system. Very stable!! I don't know if this one is good for gamer, but for long term use, this is a very good motherboard. Highly recommended!!

This is my first ASUS board after...

Strengths: stable, easy to set up, good layout

Weakness: on-board sound is flaky, could not use the add-on ASUS gameport attached to the motherboard when using an add-on sound card, gameport/usb cable was extra (not included), BIOS upgrade a bit tricky

This is my first ASUS board after using ABIT for years (3 computers). Everything went together smoothly, retail 3.0HT P4, 2 sticks of 512mb Crucial PC3200 DDR, NVIDIA FX5900 128mb video, SB Audigy sound card. I read about the on-board sound conflicts but I needed a gameport for my wheel/pedals so I was not concerned about that. The BIOS has different update methods depending on which version is...

comes with a scarce package, but...

Strengths: Price, Performance (PAT enabled!)

Weakness: no firewire, but my audigy card had that... no usb brackets / second com port bracket... etc.

comes with a scarce package, but they're not really needed anyway. the performance is like the more expensive canterwood with PAT enabled. I'm using the P4 2.8B, so I'm not even getting the most out of this board, but it's still fast with a little OC and PAT. ASUS also claims that this motherboard is compatible with the new Prescott, so there's still room to upgrade. Definitely one of the best...

I've owned several of this maker...

Strengths: ASUS,Dual BIOS,ease of installation,price,stability.

Weakness: Warranty

I've owned several of this maker before, and have discovered that some makers have diffferent views as to what FSB 800 means. Overall a faster board than most in my experience, and I'm looking to buy another soon.
