Strengths: This is one Very Good motherboard, Stable, Lightning fast and extremely simple to install! Overclocking options & IDE RAID 0 is a Plus! Comes packaged with everything you will need in the near future.

Weakness: The only weakness I found was in regards to the documentation of how to hook up the front panel connectors & the RAID setup. Also the Quality of the 6 channel audio built into motherboard.

A very Good Motherboard and extremely powerful for the Price. Supports 8X AGP and Serial & IDE RAID. Has Firewire and maximum of 8 USB2.0; PCI 2.2/2.3. Has 6 channel Audio onboard sound, 10/100/1000 gigabit onboard LAN. I originally was thinking of buying the Intel D875PBZ, but went with the P4P800 Deluxe for it's added features. The fact that it had my necessary front panel USB, Firewire & Audio connector hook-ups with build in RAID Setup was particularly appealing. I had a little trouble figuring out which way the front panel connectors hooked-up to the Motherboard on my Case, but this had more to do with the poor manual and the way the connectors where labeled on the Case than with the Motherboard arrangement. This motherboard is highly recommend, I Could’nt be any happier, this ASUS Motherboard is one of the best!

Strengths: Awesome motherboard! Easy set-up configuration, easy BIOS configuration, and easy overclocking abilities. IDE and SATA drive connections, on board Gigabyte ethernet and firewire, and great audio.

Weakness: I haven't found any yet.

This motherboard has everything a PC or beginning server requires. I have built 6 computers using this motherboard with 3.0GHz P4's, Windows XP, and still like everything about it. The documention from Asus is always excellent and all the drivers required are on the CD's. (Always best to look for updates on their website before assembling as well.) I've had no problem using either a basic drive configuration on a basic PC, or stripping the SATA drives on a workstation set-up. As always, a good quality power supply is a must for a stable system.

Strengths: Great motherboard, has all the features I wanted like dual channel DDR, sata raid, firewire, usb 2.0, and of course Asus always comes with great documentation, and phone tech support.

Weakness: None.

I would highly recommend this board. I set it up with a P4 3.0C GHz CPU, 1GB PC3200 dual channel DDR400, and a ATI AIW 9600. Everything worked right away, I was literally able to plug it in and did not have any problems. I always buy Asus mobo's and this one did not disappoint.

Strengths: It has a good manual, very fast Front Side Bus, and has Firewire.

Weakness: Manual didn't specify which way to connect the LEDs and such, guessed and was right the first time. I had to install drivers for the onboard ethernet port and usb 2.0, more a problem with XP though.

This is my first PC, and it was really cool putting it altogether and having it work the first time. Less work than I had thought it'd be, and a lot cheaper than buying a pre-built computer from elsewhere. I installed a 2.6C p4 and 2x256 Mb 3200 crucial ram chips, plopped in a graphics card and it was good to go. As for speed, with the 2.6C p4, it speeds right through my matlab calculations that take a lot longer on school computers. However, I'm pretty sure that these computations don't really stress this motherboards Front Side Bus at all, but it's the only benchmark I have. The list of features on this board are impressive, and I'm sure it will last a long time. Firewire was the key ingredient for me.

I used this M/B for my computer and found that all features that were provided are GREAT!! and work well. So I did recommend this M/B to many of my colleagues, and many of them bought this M/B as well. None of them dislike this M/B.

Strengths: Extra software. ASUS BIOS Update. Available ports

Weakness: Cable layout. Documentation not always straightforward

What a great board from a great company. It seems the actual ASUS update program gets changed more than available BIOS revisions. Cables can be tight in some places and long PCI cards tend to cover up usb/firewire connections. Documentation needs to be read more than once to get the full benefit of the boards capabilities. I have been running a p4g8x deluxe for a year now with no problems.

Strengths: Easy set up and configuration, full of features, easy on-board overclocking, easy bios updates, great price point (~$120 delivered). Supports dual channel DDR memory and hyperthreading processors

Weakness: none found yet, post reporter is annoying but easily turned off.

Wow, where do I start. This motherboard is a beast! Easy to install, easy to configure, easy to upgrade bios, easy to overclock (if you desire), easy easy easy!!! The MB has an on-board sound chip so you don't have to buy a sound card unless you are a real audiophile and need one. It also has a 1 Gigabit LAN built in. I installed an Intel 2.6c GHz processor and a 1 GB kit of Kingston Value Ram (2 x 512 MB). With this combination, the motherboard runs without a hitch, smooth, fast and cool. Through a program provided by Asus called Asus Update (of all things :) ) you can update your bios without much effort. Asus Update provides you the option to back up your bios to your hard drive, I would suggest taking this step whenever you update, just in case the newest bios causes you problems. You can also, reinstall old bios files just as easily through this program. If you are looking for ease of installation and a good quality board at an affordable price, I would recommend the Asus P4P800 Deluxe.

Strengths: Easy installation. Plopped in a Pentium 4 2.6G, and 2G of Kingston KVR400X64C3AK2 memory (4X512M), connected the cables and it came up running. Good Manual - especally the BIOS section.

Weakness: Asus Probe gives boot errors with XP. Boot up sound is ugly. Not obvious how to install USB 2 driver.

This is a good board. I had less problems with it than all of the others I have tried. The board is very stable with the Kingston memory. However, I haven't tried over clocking. It would be nice if VIA raid controller could be used for additional IDE interfaces. I would buy it again.

Strengths: stable and easy to install

Weakness: No Bootable disk

This is a very good product with everything you need. The manual is easy to understand and easy to follow. it's very straight forward to set everything up. The only thing confused me is i need a "Bootable Disk". I strongly recommend ASUS to find some other way to improve this step. It's not easy for people to find "Bootable Disk' especially who are using winXP and Win2000.

Strengths: 3com Gigabit Ethernet LAN & 6 channel audio built into motherboard. Easy to setup. IDE RAID 0 is sweet!

Weakness: The only weakness I found was in regards to the documentation of the RAID setup. However, I was able to hack thru it.

I decided to build my PC instead of buy + I wanted to overclock my P4 2.6 800MHz processor. So far I am glad to have selected the P4P800 Deluxe motherboard. It rocks! There are tons of cool features built into the MB. Great features for the price.

Strengths: This is one great motherboard, easy to install and with a lot of features at a great price. Great overclocking options.

Weakness: The post boot voice system is no good at all, but on the other hand it's only a novelty anyway.

This motherboard is really great. It's very easy to install and setup. No components were in the way of any of the expansion cards I installed. Runs fast and reliable. The overclocking feature is the best, can be individually controlled or set in steps of 10%. I have mine running reliable at 20% overclocking, so my Intel 2.8 GHz HT in "My computer" properties is registred as a 3.36 GHz CPU, and it have never given a single hick-up at all. I'm using Kingston 2x256 MB HyperX memory, and that works fine with the motherboard, and the overclocking. This motherboard is highly recommend, and here at pricegrabber you can find it at a great price.

Strengths: This is the first computer I have built from scratch. I could have not made a better choice, this motherboard is awesome!!!!!!!!! Lightning fast and extremely simple to install! The best!!!!!!!

Weakness: The voice on the motherboard could sound more realistic, but it is easily disabled. No other weaknesses!

Couldnt be any happier, I was told that ASUS was the best and it definately is! 800 MHz FSB is awesome and the chipset couldnt be any better! Just look at the ratings and see for yourself this is the best motherboard available for 120.00! Couple it with a 2.8 HT processor and you are at warp speed, you can overclock it to over 3.0 very easily.

Strengths: Easy setup and fully featured. Greatest motherboard I have ever used.

Picked this mobo over others for the great feature set. I am running this with Intel P4 2.6C and 512MB DDR400. The performance is excellent! Great board for the price. Pricegrabber.com is an excellent site and found the lower price here.

Strengths: Comes packaged with everything you will ever need for the near future. Great software bundle!!

Weakness: The PAT doesn't work well with most rams I've tried. Please read reviews to find out which rams work with this board before you buy.

I bought a pair of 512mb sticks of Corsair XMS 3200 to use with this board, and of course this board doesn't like my ram. I finally decided to spend a little more and upgraded to P4C800-E Deluxe and it runs great!! So if you're worried about money or its a big issue with this, and you're not looking toward hyperthreading then this board is for you, but if you want hyperthreading and PAT to work well together pay the extra $50 and get the P4C800-E Deluxe. Trust me, its worth it!!

Strengths: good documentation

Weakness: IDE port and Raid controller caused my system to not boot up initially ASUS Probe crash WinXP :(

usually, I'm very happy with my ASUS Motherboards, but this time, I'm only satisfied with their product. The documentation has improved from the old BX days, and the retail box comes with some good software. Unfortunate, ASUS Probe is causing my system to crash during boot up. :( Also unfortunate is the fact that, contrary to the manual, the Raid IDE ATA controller was turned on by default, which caused the normal primary IDE to respond as 3rd IDE. Disabling reverted control back to the normal primary IDE. Perhaps the RAID IDE controller is also meant to be used in a non-RAID configuration, but the manual does not document this. Over all, I'l satisfied, but not overly excited by this board. It is also failing to overclock my 2.6C to even just 2.86, so your oc mileage may vary.

Strengths: Amazing ease of connectivity! :) I could easily connect the hds to the ide cables, and to add my intel chip it was easy!

Weakness: was a little hard to figure out how to hook up the connectors from my Lian-Li case, but other than that, loved it!

This was my first computer to build, so I didn't know what I was doing and the mobo was easy to figure out at points. Had a little problem figuring out the connectors in my case, but the manual was the greatest thing! Really detailed, and I rarely had to look at google to figure out how to do something! :)

Strengths: Fast and richly featured. Good overclocking features.

Weakness: ATA 133 Raid caused me a lot problems when combined with serial ATA raid. Voice post is just annoying and gimmiky

Had to send two of these boards back to supplier for various reasons. One was DOA and the other had a voltage problem that caused a frustratingly intermittent booting issue. Had to take the board back twice because supplier swore black and blue that board was fine. Eventually and thankfully the board just dropped dead so I could take it back for warranty. I think they could of dumped the ATA 133 Raid on board and added a serial ATA controller that would of been more compatible with INTEL southbridge raid. Have been a little bit wary of ASUS boards for while because of problems with various models.

Strengths: Full featured and easily tweaked. Has the Intel PAT technology. The installation manual is superb compared to some other brands.

I was somewhat hesitant to buy this Asus board because my last two Asus motherboards had problems (Asus TUSL2C, and Asus SIS 645.) I originally was set to buy the Intel D875PBZ, but went with the P4P800 Deluxe for it's added features. The fact that it can utilize both the S-ATA RAID drives and a VIA RAID setup at the same time was particularly appealing. Also, with the PAT included on this board, there really isn't any difference between the 865 and 875 chipsets. The deal maker in the end, for me, was that New Egg now offers an extended warranty for this board for only $8.75. (Way to go, guys!) This system has been running flawlessly for 21 days now, and I couldn't be happier. Well, I could if I were able to afford to build another system like it. Here's the setup: Asus P4P800 Deluxe-----2.4 Ghz 800 fsb P4-----Corsair 512 MB DDR500 XMS4000 TwinX-----All in Wonder 9800 Pro 128-----Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 9 120 S-ATA RAID-----WD 1200JB w/VIA RAID-----M Audio Revolution w/7.1 surround------HP DVD200i
