Good motherboard for the price
Strengths: Nice layout, the SLI creates more room if you only plan on using one video card. IDE locations help keep cables out of the way
Weakness: No large map of motherboard to help with installation Upper right portion of motherboard has no support

My ASUS P5B motherboard crapped out after given me problems for years. The sound was buggy, sometimes I could use team speak, sometimes I couldn't. The USB devices would sometimes give out and I would constantly have to reinstall drivers. I bought this board because I couldn't find another P5B at my local Frye's. The motherboard is nice, I have had no problem installing drivers. XP booted up, with minor hiccups before I had installed new motherboard drivers, saving me the need to get a new xp activation code. The only real issues I have with the board are that the upper right has no screw hole for me to secure the board, though this doesn't seem to affect its stability, and the fact that Asus doesnt offer a way to install a new Bios in windows like some other company's. That is a minor concern, overall, I learned a few lessons. One, opt for a board with roam to spare, and two, do not by a motherboard when it first comes out, wait until it has seasoned a little.

Strengths: No install problems.
Weakness: Support. Unexplained e-sata problems
Have problems attaching e-sata drive. Hangs system. Must reboot with drive attached. Also get garbled desktop when backing up to e-sata drive. Could be Vista problems.
Their website seems to be running on a Commodore 64 and manned by 1 person. Good luck downloading drivers!

Very easy to setup, very user friendly motherboard
Strengths: Easy to setup. Easy to change from single to dual graphic cards. Helpful small components.
Weakness: At first, it made lots of noise but slowly disappear, which is not bad at all.
It is very very easy to setup everything. They small connectors to help you plug the cables in hard-to-reach area.
And it is so easy to change from single graphic card to SLI mode. It works!!!

ASUS P5N-E SLI
Strengths: Nice layout and easy BIOS to navigate, upgrade and use.
Running with Intel quad core and is running beautifully, no heat issues and very stable. Installing Windows Vista 64bit must be done with 2G then you need to go to Windows site and run patch KB929777, then extra ram works fine. Asus has this posted as the first FAQ for this board.
