Good Basic Board

Strengths: Ease of setup, literature/manual, on board video/audio/LAN

Weakness: Floppy controller was a little close to my drives, but is more of a case weakness than MB

Board layout is pretty snazzy and documentation is good. Flows well and allows you to take sequential steps in setting up a new system. Backplate is a little weird...they don't tell you what to do with the "teeth" that rest against the external connectors. onboard display

Weakness: getting fringes like magnetic field, I have tested two boards with four different crt monitor but not able to solve this.

good for normal user. video acceleration is very good, as display is on board no need of extra display card. I would suggest to go for csm board for the better result in display.

Good motherboard, bad customer service.

Strengths: mATX with available PCI-E slot, stable, inexpensive, Athlon X2 support.

Weakness: None for a normal, knowledgeable user.

Great motherboard for a good computer running WinXP. I had problems installing the on-board Audio device with Windows Server 2003 and Asus support wasn't helpfull at all. Looking on line I found several users had the same problem with WindowsXP, but I guess I was lucky and installed it at the first shot. I wish I had known about the existence of the A8N-VM CSM because I'd really like the s-video...
