You get what you pay for

Strengths: Sleek looking, large viewing area, very bright colors.

Weakness: Poor contrast between mid range colors, wavy lines noticeable when viewing mid range, dark grays or blues.

I decided to go with this monitor because I already have a V7 19" monitor that I am very happy with. Also, this was the only monitor with the specs I was looking for in my price range. When I first got this monitor I was very excited because of it's appearance... very sleek and a large viewing area. However, when I first fired it up I noticed wavy lines when viewing dark grays or blues. The lines...

A value 22

Strengths: Low Price. Good response rate. Has a dvi input

Weakness: No dvi cable included. bad speakers.

This is a very good basic monitor for everday tasks and it is one of the most inexpensive 22" widescreen. It has good response rate, so ghosting is not an issue. However, the overall build quality feels cheap. The base of the monitor is especially flimsy. Overall, I'd recommend this monitor to someone that is on a tight budget, but look elsewhere if you are looking for quality.

Great Price and Quality

Strengths: Nice to look at... easy menu.. huge 22" widescreen... no dead pixels out of the box... built in speakers... lightweight

Weakness: none so far

Contrary to what others have wrote.... I don't think the speakers are that bad... They sound like laptop speakers... but you MUST increase the monitor volume control unto 100% in order for them to work well... my computer volume is at 35%... they aren't replacements for any powered computer speakers, but they do the trick... I bought this from Amazon for $211 and it is worth every penny... most...

Bang for your buck

Strengths: Inexpensive. Great contrast ratio. Good brightness. VGA & DVI Connections. 5 ms pixel response time. 3 yr warranty.

Weakness: No height adjustment. Non-powered speakers (barely audible). No DVI cable. Have to go into the OSD menu to switch between inputs.

I was able to get this for about $213 from Staples.com. I only dinged it a little for the weaknesses since I am not utilizing any of those features. I turned the brightness down & the contrast up. So having a lower brightness than a lot of the more expensive ones didn't really matter for me. I watched a movie & played a game on it with no ghosting. My next purchase is a tuner card, so I can...
