NEC AccuSync 24 WMCX 24\" 1080p LCD Monitor
4 Star Review  hdtvsolutions.com - Feb 7, 2008

NEC's AccuSync 24WMCX performs admirably as a computer monitor. In HDTV mode, I found it difficult to adjust its picture quality beyond satisfactory levels.

4 Star Review   By member Twordsdiverged - May 26, 2008

Strengths: Excellent color once corrected Little to no backlight bleed Good viewing angle

Weakness: Flimsy base - LCD wabbles a little Poor color out of the box DVI connector in poor location Unintuitive menu controls

I purchased this monitor at the same time I purchased a KDS 24" LCD. I kept this NEC and returned the KDS. This monitor is great for the price. Once this monitor is adjusted for color, color representation looks pretty accurate. Response time is good enough for any of the most recent game and movie releases. There is no noticeable backlight bleed. Considering NEC is a good brand I am a little surprised by the small plastic monitor stand. I don't think the LCD will fall, but when my cat jumps on my desk you definitely notice the monitor sway. The KDS had a metal base that was far more sturdy. The menus are a pain to navigate and have far more options than are probably necessary. The DVI connector points directly down towards and is partially obstructed by the base of the monitor. Make sure you have a flexible DVI cable because if the cable is too thick you might not be able to actually connect it. Quite a poor design move but by no means a reason to avoid the monitor. The viewing angle is good, but I feel like it is more like a 170 than a 178. You will notice a color shift at the edges, more so than on the higher-end screens, but less so on the cheapest of screens.
