caps,num, scroll lock indicator lights
2 Star Review   By member kboarder799 - Nov 11, 2009

Weakness: found on the receiver which is probably out of sight

what a dumb idea. certainly taking the indicator lights off the keyboard should've got some designer fired. now i know to look for these type of innovations

Great keyboard, mediocre mouse
3 Star Review   By member agenthex - May 27, 2008

Strengths: Good feel and range on the keyboard

Weakness: Poor range and sensitivity on the mouse

There's a strange dichotomy on this product where the typing part works great (light, compact, reliable), but the mousing portion is acceptable but can skip at times. The software is also mediocre and step below microsoft's. I guess I would recommended it for the keyboard, and the mouse would be acceptable for basic use close the reciever.

S510
5 Star Review   By member SILBER21 - Aug 6, 2007

Strengths: Well designed, well made product

Works as described out of the box - cordless is very useful feature and it really works well. Some unusual features include: enlarged "delete" key / "num lock" and "caps lock" light indicators are on the combos receiver and not on the keyboard. Overall - I love my S510 combo. Good work Logitech. Highly recommend!

Excellent Keyboard and Mouse Combo
5 Star Review   By member bd8494 - Jun 29, 2007

Strengths: Great quality and design, goes hand in hand with a flat-panel monitor. The mouse handles well and so does the keyboard.

I would definitely recommend this for a buyer! Even for me to use this for only a few days it has handled well and doesn't lose a connection. The only thing that is not good about it is that you have to be at least 25 feet from the receiver, but that doesn't really matter that much. Definitely recommended.

Overall, Satisfied
4 Star Review   By member bucnasty - Apr 9, 2007

Strengths: Wireless, light-weight, Slim Design, Slick black color, handy feature buttons. Mouse works well for an optical.

Weakness: Missing Cd with setpoint and drivers.(www.logitech.com) Did not include batteries. If the computer lags, you will notice lag in your mouse also if your more than 3 ft away.

Overall, I am pleased with this combo, Good cheap price. You need 2 AAA batteries for the keyboard, and 2 AA batteries for the mouse. The keyboard batteries last nearly forever, but you will want to buy a Energizer AA rechargeable pack from walmart probably ($15)

Great Keyboard
5 Star Review   By member DonJames243 - Jan 10, 2007

Strengths: They keyboard is very easy to type on. macs i know have hard keys which you can barely press down, but this logitech can be typed on easily. Great connectivity. Took a little long to set up.Great Buy

Weakness: Connectivity dies a little during games Hard to set up

Definitly buy it! It isn't as expensive as some others and it is so easy to type on. You can just sit back and type on this keyboard and the mouse is just the same. Easy moving and great response on the mouse.

Good keyboard bad mouse
3 Star Review   By member abakben - Sep 14, 2006

Strengths: Light, ergonomic

Weakness: Mouse is small

The keyboard feels really nice. It is excellent. It has a great response time and the hotkeys work well. The board itself is very flat and light. It's pretty much a laptop keyboard, so it may take a bit getting used to for some. Its just that the mouse is kind of small. Mouse keys are really hard. You have to click it hard. Also the center button on the scroll, when you depress the scroll wheel, is hard to activate. You have to press really hard. I need to use that for autocad for panning, kind of hard to activate. Also, seems like the radio frequency causes my headphones to buzz when in proximity to the keyboard or the mouse.

Sleek KB and Mouse Combo - Perfect for HTPC
5 Star Review   By member Stuey83 - Jun 25, 2006

Strengths: Nice style Decent range Comfortable typing

Weakness: Sometimes succombs to same interference as MS wireless kits Mouse is inferior to higher-end products "Customizeable Keys" are a bit awkward to use to someone used to MS functionality.

While this is not the best kit on the market, it is superb nonetheless. I sometimes experience issues with the keyboard where I must "reconnect" the wireless link, but this is due to radio interference (i.e. unavoidable). If you choose to use a different logitech mouse, there's a good chance that only a single transmitter is required (I have used an LX 7 until I changed to an MX1000). The typing is comfortable, although I usually need to tilt the keyboard up a little bit. Whereas my old keyboard was uncomfortable to use on my lap, this keyboard is a pleasure to use. The battery life is impressive as well, as I have not yet needed to swap the batteries yet. I would definitely recommend this product, but you *may* want to consider a different mouse if you use your computer very frequently

Great Looking Keyboard/Mouse Combo
4 Star Review   By member mredmon - May 28, 2006

Strengths: Low Profile Easy to hit keys (low depth to trigger keypress) Good build quality (feels sturdy) Side-scrolling mouse (good for nagivating forward/backward in firefox) Non-obtrusive media buttons

Weakness: Non-rechargeable kit (though I use rechargeables in it) Mouse doesn't have enough buttons to do side-scrolling AND navigating

I have been using this keyboard for three days now and love it. It has the low-profile look to it of the high-end Di Novo products but a very low-end price. It has low-depth keys, making it easier to type fast (you don't have to press down as far). The feel of the overall unit is excellent, especially compared to the Logitech Cordless Elite Duo that it is replacing... much sturdier. And finally, the media keys aren't nearly as obtrusive as with my previous keyboard and with similar models from other companies (or even Logitech). The mouse is slightly smaller than the one in the Elite Duo kit which is a nice change. It lacks any forward/back navigation buttons for Internet Explorer or Firefox but the side-scrolling mouse wheel can be adapted to work for the same purpose (and took only a day to get used to - now it's just a cool feature). It may or may not be possible to use the wheel for this purpose in Windows or MacOS, as I use Linux. The mouse is responsive and lacks the red glow of most optical mice.

S510 Cordless Desktop Keyboard and Mouse
5 Star Review   By member ahong524 - Apr 15, 2006

Strengths: compact. strong signal

Weakness: none so far

I didnot realise it has much difference from lx500. S510 is much more expensive but it worth to pay so much. Its mouse is smaller than Lx500. Its mouse has more buid in functions. I almost think it is the best combo in the world.

Excellent Keyboard/Mouse combination
5 Star Review   By member anandgk - Apr 7, 2006

Strengths: Sleek keyboard and mouse with lot of features.

Weakness: None so far.

This is neat and sleek keyboard/mouse combination. The keyboard has the same feeling of notebook keypad. Lots of shortcuts available from keyboard itself and so there is no need for using the mouse frequently. Installation was neat and clean with no problems. I started loving it from day one.

S510 Cordless Desktop Keyboard and Mouse
4 Star Review   By member ahmed7 - Mar 24, 2006

Strengths: great keyboard! quiet buttons. it feels like a notebook keyboard. sleek design. the first time i saw it, i had to get it. simple keystrokes and very thin. not heavy or clunky. works great.recommended!

Weakness: none for the keyboard, but the mouse that came with it is a piece of junk. i actually decided to go out and buy the logitech MX 518 gaming mouse. keyboard is still awesome!!!!

once again. great keyboard, but horrible mouse. i don't know what logitech was thinking when they designed the mouse. it feel like something you would get from a cracker jack box. but the logitech mx 518 gaming mouse is great. it even matches the keyboard.

S510 Cordless Desktop Keyboard and Mouse
5 Star Review   By member michellepeng - Mar 24, 2006

Strengths: strong, light,smooth

Weakness: none so far

I thought it is comparable with Lx500, which I used before. I was totally wrong. This model's wireless mouse is a little small and comfortable with your hand. The keyboard has more function.

Logitech Cordless Desktop S 510
4 Star Review   By member khisayruou - Feb 3, 2006

Strengths: Beautiful keyboard design, great range, low profile/small, very thin, easy connectivity, on/off button for the mouse

Weakness: Really bad mouse design

Keyboard: Uses two AAA batteries (included). It sits low and the arm rest is permanently attached. Its absolutely beautiful and well designed. It fits perfectly with todays LCD displays and media centers. Approx. 18 x 8 inches. Button response is great, the keys have a low profile. Media buttons are on the far left and right and all I can say is about time. I hated it when it was on the top, this time they kept the buttons quite minimal. Its not cluttered like it once was. I have mine set to control itunes and it does the job flawlessly. Mouse: Here is where Logitech really messed up...its really sad especially when they have really great gaming mouses available. Uses two AA batteries (included). The batteries sit in the back so the mouse is rear heavy. There is an on/off button on the bottom, great too milk out battery life. The drawback is that its only a two button mouse. There are no side buttons. The scroll wheel moves up/down and left/right. Pushing the scroll wheel down feels cheap and you really need to use some force to get it down (my mx518 doesn't do this). It's not that great for gaming. Wireless hub: Not much to say here, its a stylish piece of plastic thats so light it won't sit on the table correctly. But I have not had any dropped connections yet, so I am very happy about that.

S510
4 Star Review   By member atdave - Jan 30, 2006

Strengths: stylish, thin, wireless, programmable keys

Weakness: average mouse

this is a great desktop set for the money. logitech has never let me down. the keyboard is very thin and light, and the keys are a lot like a laptop... quiet with a short, smooth stroke. comes with batteries and has excellent wireless signal. the only downside is the mouse is nothing special. it's not bad, but they could have easily thrown in something better. at least it works for both righties and lefties.

Logitech s510
5 Star Review

Strengths: Looks Class! - Feels Class! - Bargain!

Weakness: Not Found Any Yet...Poss Same As Other Reviews....Keyboard Takes Some Getting Used To.

I bought this yesterday as it was going for a pretty damn reasonable price at pc world. I chose this package as it looked good, Felt good in the shop, and was a bargain at £40 (Mine was the package with the remote control). Theres not too much you can say about keyboards and mice is there? The keys do feel soft to use, ive never really thought there was much use for shortcut buttons but have found myself using them more and more! the mouse is a standard two button affair, though you can assign what the buttons and scroll wheel do. I now have my scroll as standard but it also lets me skip back and forwards through webpages when you push the wheel left or right. The thing i have found the most impressive (though i didnt buy it for this) is the remote control. I thought this was going to be a cheap and nasty remote that was going to be thrown in the cupboard straight away. Ive installed the software supplied on the cd and it allows you to assign what the shortcut buttons do on your keyboard, what the buttons on your mouse do, and most importantly for me, allows you to assign buttons for the remote. When in the software, you tell it what keyboard presses you want the remote to copy and thats it!!! I had three remotes for my pc, trying to use any of them to load programs, surf the internet, record tv ect. I had no success in doing this in 3 months (due to conflicts i think?) This software allowed me to set up this remote for everything in ten minutes. I now have the logitech remote setup to load either winamp, media player, logitech media player(supplied), or my tv recording program. lets me adjust volume, change channels on tv, load up internet explorer. Best £40 i've spent in a long time! I was about to pay £35 for a one for all remote on its own. This remote does it all for me, and i get a keyboard and mouse that are excellent too!

5 Star Review   By member panhao - Dec 12, 2005

Strengths: a lot of functions, slim design, beautiful shape

Weakness: key stroke feels short, takes a while to get used to it

Was attracitve to this keyborad at first sight. Couldn't resist its tempertation. Wireless is almost automatically set up when I inserted battery and pluged into computer. Love all the functions the keyborad comes with. Nice mouse too. Those multimedia keys are very handy. Very happy with it.

S510 Review
4 Star Review   By member kei_kun83 - Sep 13, 2005

Strengths: Strong wireless connection, excellent range, keyboard-style raised keys.

Weakness: Takes some time getting used to, mouse is below average, wireless hub different and awkward to place compared to Media Pacakge version.

Coming from a DiNovo wireless desktop, I'd have to say this one is definitely a good fit for its price. At a lesser pricing standpoint, one would expect much less when compared to the DiNovo. However, I was glad to be wrong- the range of the keyboard was excellent, the grip felt comfortable, and while the hotkeys were a bit oddly placed, it was nothing you couldn't get used to. Overall it is an excellent product for its price that exceeds my expectations.
