Junk
1 Star Review   By member BC24 - Feb 24, 2006

Strengths: It worked well at first...

Weakness: It stopped working correctly...

The joystick was in good working condition for about 2 or 3 months of use. During that time I enjoyed using it. It was my first joystick and I would say that I didn't abuse it too harshly. I started to notice things were going downhill when it continuously pulled to the left. I would test it in the calibration mode and it seemed to be off centered. I would restart the computer and it worked again for a few minutes, then started pulling to the left more. I'd go back to calibrating it and do many full quick circles and it would go back to normal... for a minute or so. I finally had enough of it and tossed it in the garbage. It felt very good to throw this piece of junk in the trash. I have also found many forum posts from users that had the same type of problem with the Attack 3.

4 Star Review   By member webbie - May 30, 2005

Strengths: comfortable handle. strong base. many funtional buttons.

I'd recommend this joystick because it is cheap yet with 12 funtional buttons. I am happy to play MS Flight simulator and NASCAR racing games.

3 Star Review   By member liuspring - Apr 29, 2005

Strengths: good price, easy setup

Weakness: can only play certain games and sometimes using it to play some games is not as flexible as the keyboard

i picked up two joy sticks at the low price of $10 at circuit city. It contains most of the operations with its 11 buttons.i may say that it is really busy for you to find out what those buttons' functions are.i have been using keyboard in some games for long so it seems to me less responsive in some games with the joy sticks, games like the FIFA football game and some road rush car games. But for some new games i am exploring like air plane 94, i felt more interested with this joy stick.Generally speaking, whether or not you enjoy this product depends much on what games you are playing with.

5 Star Review   By member MBNYC Deals - Mar 31, 2005

Strengths: Very easy to use, reasonably priced, responsive controls, durable

Weakness: Non

For the price of this joystick I think it is one heck of a value for most people who enjoy flight simulator games like I do. Control is very easy to use and very stable during gameplay. It's also reasonably priced...which was the main reason why I bought this stick. Overall I would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a basic joystick w/o the frills of other custom buttons and has a lower price range so anyone can afford it.

Strengths: Good price, easy to setup

Weakness: none so far

I bought one joystick at compuusa December last year, it was less then $10 dollors after rebate. Actually later when this product was on sale in compusa again, i bought the second one. I am quite satisfied with this stick for it brings me and my friends much fun.I really think this joystick is a good value because for the price you pay you get the comfort, durability, and functionality that you will not get with joysticks from other companies

4 Star Review   By member Darkonus - Mar 29, 2005

Strengths: Easy USB install (XP Pro), durable, simple design, low price.

Weakness: None for what it offers IMO.

I picked this up for $10 at CUSA, with a $10 rebate. It is a very basic joystick, but has enough buttons (11 of them, which are programmable) to satisfy most gaming needs where you might want to consider using a joystick. The plug & play install in Windows XP Pro was quick and easy, and no extra calibration was even needed. The control response is very good, and though not all the buttons are within easy pressing locations when keeping your hands stationary, they are easy enough to push when your hand finds them! I have been using it to fly planes in Battlefield 1942, rather than use the mouse, keyboard, or my Belkin N52 controller, and it has worked well. It has a stable base, and the construction of it seems to be sturdy too. If you have young kids, then you realize that inexpensive and sturdy, all in the same product, is GOLDEN! I believe this stick would be worth it even for the $15-$20 price you would normally pay for it. If you want a very simple or basic joystick that is reliable, and didn't need all the extras a more expensive stick would offer, then this is a good choice!

4 Star Review   By member yanhongdai - Mar 21, 2005

Strengths: 1. Easy to use; USB interface; 2. Cool design and durable construction; 3. Suitable for both right-handed and left-handed users; 4. Kind of cheap.

Weakness: None.

However, for ~$20, you can not expect too much. Only for game starters. If you are a PC game expert, I recommend you pay more to get a high-end user joystick.

4 Star Review   By member psehgal - Mar 15, 2005

Strengths: Easy to use - Great for Occasional Players - Reasonably Priced!

Weakness: May be too limited for advanced users.

I recently bought Microsoft Flight Simulator software at a great deal, and was looking for an entry-level joystick to try it out. I saw this model at a friend's place, and bought it a couple of days later at a sale - and I am very glad that I did! It includes most of the basic operations that new and/or occasional players like myself need, at a great price! My friend is an advanced player, and mentioned a few features that this model was lacking, but I guess most people would never really need many of those features anyway!

Strengths: Easy to set and control

I liked it the moment I saw the Attack 3 Joystick. I even liked to more after playing games like Microsoft Flight Simulator. The joystick is smooth and responsive to your every move you make. A great Buy for less than $20.00.

I use this primarily for playing the Microsoft Flight Simulator. I found it worked pretty well with all the major funtions in the game. It does take some time to get use to using it after playing the game only with keyboard in the past.

Strengths: Easy to handle.

It is a very nice joystick. Easy to use, zero installation. Brilliant! Strong recommend! I like Logitech's stuff, mouse, keyboard and this joystick. They are very reliable. Almost no clear weakness so far. I think if I'll buy some accessories, Logitech is my first choice.

4 Star Review   By member dbiondi14 - Jan 1, 2005

Strengths: Easy Setup, good value for cost

Weakness: Very little documentation comes with the product, must go to the web site to download configuration software

The joystick seems to be very sturdy. Installation was a snap with XP recognizing it as soon as you pluged in the USB port. However, there was no software to test the joystick, you had to go to the website and download the software. Not sure I will use all the buttons (11 buttons) but they all worked during the test. Was able to easily configure the buttons needed for the spiderman game, and the response of the joystick was satisfactory.

Strengths: For the price, you can't go wrong with this joystick

Weakness: It is a basic joystick, without the bells and whistles of more expensive joysticks.

It is a basic joystick but works perfectly and was very easy to setup in Windows XP. I have not had any problems using it with my games. It does not have the features of more expensive joysticks but it is an excellent choice for $20.

Strengths: Nice low affordable price with the brand name Logitech.

This joystick does the job at a nice low affordable price. I picked it up on sale at Staples for $10. Can't beat the low price. The joystick is adequate and it feels pretty good when playing with my PC games. Recommend if you can get it near $10!

Strengths: Compare with the price, I think it is very good one. No driver needed.

Weakness: The feeling of the button is just soso. But it works well.

I use it for MS Flight Simulator, and it is very good. Although I don't know whether it is endurable, it works well to me and the price is very attractive.

4 Star Review   By member bettaygowda - Dec 24, 2004

Strengths: Solid joystick. Overall very nice features and many buttons! For the price this is one of the BEST joysticks you can buy. Also a good brand name.

Weakness: No force feedback

Force feedback would have been nice to have but considering this price it's an awesome joystick. A must buy for entry level gaming. Perfect for Flight Simulator 2004.

4 Star Review   By member docvenzon - Dec 23, 2004

Strengths: Very affordable price. Stable base. Responsive to controls. Extremely easy to install.

Weakness: Just a basic joystick. Not wireless. No force feedback. But what do you expect for the price?

I bought this joystick when I bought MS Flight Simulator 2004. It was supposed to be a stocking stuffer, but after playing around with it for a while, I ended up actually keeping the darn thing! :) Easily its most outstanding quality is the price! I got it for less than $10 after rebate. But more than that, it's a fully functional joystick. Just don't expect forcefeedback or wireless capabilities. It does what it says it does, and that's it. The base is very stable, and the controls were very responsive. Plug and play install in Windows XP was very painless. I had it up and running in no time. I didn't even need to do any calibration. For the price, this one's a steal.

Strengths: solid design. inexpensive. nice grippy feet.

Weakness: no drivers for os x

No drivers for mac os x. that said, several programs did seem to recognize the thing anyway as a generic H.I.D. device. You can get some free software from versiontracker.com that will map keys in OS X to the various buttons. Speaking of buttons, holy cow there are a lot on this thing. I need more fingers.
