Very Quick Machine
4 Star Review   By Stump on HP - May 14, 2013

The computer was very easy and quick to setup. The processor is amazingly fast. Numerous connection points with USB2 and 3 ports. The liquid cooler is quiet and the machine seems to run cooler than if it had fans. All in all a nice desktop.

Good performance, but irritating noise
3 Star Review   By GGSC on HP - May 10, 2013

This computer was intended to replace a 5-year-old HP desktop, which was very quiet. In spite of the liquid cooling, the H9-1215T has an irritating hum from the fans. Otherwise, performance is satisfactory.

5 Star Review   By JCDeiter on HP - May 9, 2013

My first new computer since 2005. It exceeded my expectations. 45 seconds from startup to being able to use it. 15 seconds to shut down. The SD drive (along with 16 Gb of memory) sure makes a difference. A little noisy but that probably has to do with where I have it installed. I expect I will be happy with this for a long time.

Get One While You Can
5 Star Review   By Kayodleman on HP - May 2, 2013

My HP Phoenix has been performing flawlessly for a month. It was ordered pretty much maxed out with 2 optical drives, an SSD drive and large HDD and a mouse. Some of these options are the very things certain companies want to engineer away from us dumb consumers. This PC has a very favorable looking exterior and has lots of functionality to boot. It's neat to have a Gort-like red beam always watching. The interior is well designed too and still has expansion room if desired in the future. Was a little concerned the video card (2GB Nvidia GeForce GT630) would be a weak link but it's performance is plenty stout. This PC multitasks without even noticing it. Takes a good bit of activity to cause the fan motor to speed up at all. Have felt no warm air being vented out so the included liquid cooling evidently works. Am happy to own this HP product and the greatly increased productivity it delivers.

GREAT windows 7 Desktop
5 Star Review   By Vikingstaff on HP - Apr 27, 2013

We wanted to replace a much older desktop this past year. However, the timing wasn't right, and then windows 8 came out. We have no interest in windows 8 and its touch centric interface on a desktop oriented home computer. We were very excited to have an opportunity to purchase a high calibre windows 7 desktop from HP this late after the roll out of windows 8. This computer is awesome! Set up was super fast, and the computer runs like a dream. It is quick, runs silent and cool, and provides lots of space for future expandability. I also appreciate the internal layout and configuration as I think it is very practical with an eye towards heat dissipation and easy future expansion of components. In addition to all of this, the price was simply unbelievable. Mixed with the coupon code I was able to use, we got this incredible system for approx. $830 (including tax and shipping). That is an AMAZING deal for a computer with these components and performance specs...as well as future expandability to improve upon its already great performance. I simply cannot believe how much computer we got for the price. As a matter of fact, we had delayed any thoughts of replacing our old desktop last winter because of windows 8, and thus had shifted finances away from this purchase. However, when I saw this price and specs on a windows 7 desktop, I knew I had to snag this while we could. Thus, the price compelled us to buy now and not wait another year or two. This computer will last us many years as it grows and upgrades with us. I applaud HP on its ability to combine these components, operating system and price into one sweet package!

Wow, what a Machine!
5 Star Review   By anewnicknameisnotneeded on HP - Apr 25, 2013

I have purchased many, many computers since my first one (TI99/4 in 1980). I wanted to replace my office Lenovo xp machine with my home theater Acer Win7 and therefore needed a new home theater computer that was (at minimum) state of the art, fast, have wifi and blu-ray. I researched, reviewed and agonized for months. This computer meets and exceeds; Just look at the features in this beast. The purchase process was fast, efficient and exactly as promised. I have not been disappointed in any manner.

Having owned several HP computers in the past, I've come to trust the HP name. This new computer is over the top. It's fast and easy to work in. It's everything I hoped it would be and more. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Great computer loaded with features
5 Star Review   By Gojuman on HP - Apr 17, 2013

This is a great computer from all points of view and well worth the money. Power and features to spare. Very fast. The only thing that could make it better would have been a solid state drive to speed up boot time and perhaps a higher end video card (although the video card included is very good). Other than that this is the best computer I have ever owned.

Only 2 of 6 SATA ports are SATA 3
5 Star Review   By roberto627 on HP - Apr 15, 2013

I love the computer - it is all I thought it would be EXCEPT I was Stunned to find that there are only 2 SATA 3 ports and the other 4 SATA ports are SATA 2!! I have three smokin' hard drives (One SSD) and one of them has to be on the slower SATA 2 port. That really disappointed me. You have three hard drive bays - you should have a motherboard that supports at least 3 SATA 3 ports. Not good and not really made clear in the specs. Also it would have been nice if I didn't have to play detective to find out which 2 ports were the SATA 3 ports.

Lightning fast and loaded with great features!
5 Star Review   By Chris90 on HP - Apr 3, 2013

It is an absolute must for the serious PC gamer. Seriously fast and full of exciting features. The unit itself is also very pleasing to the eye. I would definitely give this PC a 5 STAR rating. I'm partial to Windows 7, but whatever operating system you choose for the HP PHOENIX it's an absolute perfect match!!!

A noticeable improvement
5 Star Review   By Geno99 on HP - Apr 2, 2013

Had a five year old m8307c which had a lot of AV extras that I liked. It did not have enough memory and was slower so after it started to develop a series of problems I ordered this new machine. I've only had it a couple weeks and have spent much of the time reinstalling software and moving data files. It is quieter and runs at a good clip. Just hope it lasts as long or longer than the machine it replaced.

Very Happy
5 Star Review   By Anonymous on HP - Mar 28, 2013

Bought this to replace aging Dell XPS 420. Love the HP; does everything I want it to. My only complaints are minor: I wish it had more USB ports and at least one Firewire port (for my SONY HandyCam.) I've only had it two weeks, but I'd say this honeymoon period is great.

Sweeeeeet System
5 Star Review   By PhoenixIsAwesome on HP - Mar 27, 2013

Liquid cooled, upgraded video card, upgraded memory, upgraded everything. One of the best and affordable pc's out there. I'm glad HP is providing a gaming system in addition to business pc's and home pc's. Kudo's to whoever at HP pushed the idea and brought the systems to market. Keep it up!
