Great hardware, Win8 bad as advertised
3 Star Review   By BruceS on HP - Feb 9, 2013

As hardware it is elegant. Guided setup deeply flawed. First thing to do is enter your email as MS account. Only after it's too late does it tell you it can't be POP mail. And it can't be changed! Yes you can manage online and change to gmail, but the original POP email address is forever bound to the machine. Bottom line, stay in Desktop mode, use Outlook not Win8 Mail etc. I feel half the features are unavailable to me because of this unfixable undocumented setup. Boo on HP for that. But nice hardware.

So easy to set up
5 Star Review   By Edks on HP - Feb 2, 2013

Set up was fast and there is so much more room on my desk. My old HP was about 11 years old and wow have things changed. Although I had upgraded to Windows 7 about a year ago after my old computer crashed, Windows 8 is awesome. And the functions in Office are quite a bit different. I'm having a great time learning new tasks.

Excellent product
5 Star Review   By Sarge2 on HP - Jan 25, 2013

This computer is an excellent product. Set up was easy and quick. The touch screen is much faster than using a mouse, although, I still require its use in some instances. The sound system is great. I am very satisfied with this purchase.

This computer is lightning fast!
5 Star Review   By MauriceMimi on HP - Jan 20, 2013

I purchased this touchscreen PC to replace an old desktop running Windows XP. I am very pleased with the performance of this computer and the speed at which I can access information on the Internet! Even though the learning curve associated with Windows 8 is steep for someone my age, I'm able to navigate enough to get by and am learning a little more each day. I would highly recommend this desktop for anyone who is looking for a new computer.

Love the all in one computer!
5 Star Review   By Rbartels on HP - Jan 20, 2013

This is a great computer!. You can customize it to your needs if you want more hard drive, etc. I shopped around and initially bought with Best Buy. Then, i went online and looked to see if i could get all the bells and whistles i was looking for and did not find at BB. You can customize to what you were looking for is what sold me on this computer. Product better pricing online than at the retail stores. Product was delivered quickly and had free shipping when I bought it. The computer touch screen is fabulous, sound is great, and very easy to set up! Windows 8 is easy!

New experience
5 Star Review   By stoneguy on HP - Jan 2, 2013

The touchscreen is both intuitive in some ways and not in others. Windows 8 in Metro mode is great as a browser, but not for real work. If I use Word or Excel then back we go to 7 mode. (which happens automatically in an instant.) IE takes some getting used to, as the bookmark options are different. The touch screen, however, is quite responsive to the point that my finger will go to the screen first as navigation is faster for many tasks than is the mouse. I find myself naturally switching between the two as each still has distinct advantages. I imagine that over the next year many more apps will arrive to make the touchscreen magic even more enticing. I feel sorry for those stuck with Apple's progressively condescending 'My way or the highway' attitude, as each required upgrade locks out more functionality and doesn't offer a touchscreen. HP, on the other hand, has combined beauty and brains in the Envy 23-d055

Excellent Product
5 Star Review   By PsychLady on HP - Dec 16, 2012

I'm not a techy, but I can surely say that this is a great product. I upgraded my home PC and wanted to make sure that I had the latest technology for my children (3 yrs and 15 yrs). This computer has all the bells and whistles, plus great performance. The kids love it, especially the touch screen feature. I just recommended this product to a co-worker, as he is in the market for an all-in-one touch.

The Next Gen of Computing
5 Star Review   By Anonymous on HP - Dec 10, 2012

This computer is fantastic. It really is the next evolution in computers. The all in one sleekness has a very modern, hi tech look & feel. The performance is amazing and this particular package comes jammed packed with features that would ordinarily cost much more; it really is a great set-up. The touch screen is spot on and works with everything, 100%. Blows away any pads with size, power & versatility. Windows 8 is cool and takes some getting used to. Windows 8 is multimedia orientated and so is this computer which complements the whole experience/package perfectly. Don't fear windows 8, all my old and current programs work fine; after an update or 2 the computer will download all the flash, adobe, etc you need. All in all, I'd buy this again and hope other see what an amazing package/deal this computer is. Oh, get the Pulse subwoofer to; it's next on my list and will bring the Dr. Beats sound to the next level.

Good Hardware Value
4 Star Review   By TroutDog on HP - Dec 7, 2012

I bought this machine because it had the right mix of processor, memory, and HDD space at a good price point. I am very happy with the hardware platform. Windows 8, on the other hand, is kind of clunky for typical desktop use. This is an annoyance, but only a small one. I like the way this machine instantly comes on when you are ready to use it. Overall, very happy.
