Strengths: Impressive processor.

Express great price and surprising capacities of overclock. Intel perfectly works to me stable to 3,367 mhz with the standard ventilator that it brings the processor. And at that speed of overclock, the temperature was only of 42ºC, I made verifications until with a sounding. The used motherboards, one Gigabyte Ga8IK1100 2 Rev and one Asus P4P800 Deluxe. I DID NOT HAVE TO TOUCH THE VOLTAGE OF THE PROCESSOR, EITHER THE ONE OF THE MEMORY NOR THE ONE OF THE AGP, WITH THE VOLTAGES BY DEFECT. A jewel and to an exceptional price.

Strengths: Seems to be reasonable value for money

Weakness: Still quite expensive.

Purchased this one because it seemed to be a good value for money with heperthrreading and some overclocking potential if I ever want it in the future.

Strengths: Fast, overclocking.

Great processor. When paired up with my ASUS P4P800, runs great. Cool, runs at about 95 degrees F average. Using stock CPU cooler, overclocked 10 percent, and it still only ran at 98 degrees F. No real need to overclock however, graphics intense games have no problems running with my system at stock CPU speed.

Strengths: Fast, good overclocking, priced right

Weakness: Noisy fan

Installation was easy. Removed black thermal pad and used as3. This processor is a little faster than the 2.4b that I have in another computer. I have overclocked to 2880 with little effort- probably can go higher. The retail heatsink fan is a little noisy, but can be slowed down via motherboard fan control. Why spend extra money on 2.8 or 3.0, when this processor can probably hit those levels.

Strengths: Excellent processor. This is the slowest of the P4 Hyper Threading processors. Very impressed by the speed and reliabliltiy. Has taken everything we sent its way. Runs cool at 2.4mhz.

Great product. Purchased as retail package. Fast with the 800mhz FSB, this processor will handle anything I will throw at it. Watch out for the P4 2.4 processor without HT, for $10 or $20 more you can have HT and set yourself up for future software development. Setup includes, Asus P4S800 MB, 512MB Kingston DDR-SDRAM, chaintech NVIDIA GForce FX 5200 w/128MB. Love it.

Strengths: Price, includes CPU fan, HT. Runs cool, highest temp I got so far is 51C running pc games.

Weakness: None, except removing the thermal tape from the CPU fan to apply Arctic Silver

I chose the Intel 2.4C w/HT even though the 2.8 w/HT was about $20 more because I knew 400MHz isn't really gonna make a difference, my last PC was a 500MHz P3. Figured I could just overclock it but don't think I need to because 2.4GHz is fast enough. Decent price for a good chip.

Strengths: Intel has always been a dependable and competitive brand.

Weakness: Costly. Package box does not come with thermal compound. Need to spend a few extra dollars for maximum performance/cooling to insure the unit.

I've been using the Intel cpu throughout the history of building my computers. Although not for the budget-oriented, you really get what you pay for, because I haven't had any problems with them yet. This 2.4c p4 chip is relatively affordable and will serve its purpose for this particular computer I am building. Not the fastest Intel chip on the market, but also not the slowest. Anything above 2 gigs is overkill in my opinion. Hopefully the hyperthreading capability and 800mhz will make this chip shine for me.

Strengths: 800Mhz FSB, stablity, and reliablity

Weakness: Non that I've found

I set this up with the abit IC7-Max3 MoBo, and it's the best system I have ever had. It wasn't a pain to set up, and I've had no problems with it.

Strengths: Outstanding performance, solid, stable, top-notch reliability.

I have been buying, modding, and building PC systems for about 6 years now and I was skeptical about paying what I thought was "for the name Intel", now I am convinced and telling fellow PC modders and builders to go with Intel P4's or go home! I love the fact that now I know I don't have to worry about upgrading anytime soon either, using the Intel Desktop Control Center even shows that I hardly ever put any load on the CPU, it handles all tasks with ease! My last system I used an Athlon XP 2000+ w/ 266 FSB CPU and it does not even come close to performing as well as this and my new Pentium 4 2.4Ghz w/800 FSB. I love the fact that the Operating System (XP of course) and other programs show my PC as having 2 CPU's, that is part of the HyperThreading technology and performs as if there are 2 CPU's in there. I was so proud to remove the Athlon CPU badge and replace it with the Intel supplied P4 Inside one. I even painted my case and got a nice blue cathode light to further enhance the look of this quiet beast I built!

Strengths: You say Intel I say INTEL

Weakness: Haven't had a chance to put it through it's paces yet.

What can you say. Great processor for the price. Looking forward to seeing the 800 FSB in action. I own a P4 2.4 w/ a 533 FSB and it has operated flawlessly for over one year constantly. Heavy graphics and CAD/CAM work. Nice retail packaging.

Strengths: decent looking cpu fan, decent intructions

Weakness: no heat tape or gel sent with box

Haven't got the chance to use it yet. I am dissappointed that I bought a boxed processor and didn't get heat tape or gel with it. I am looking forward to the speed of the front side bus. I like the 512K of cache, I would always like to see more cache, as much as possible, but 512k of L2 is the bare minium for me

Strengths: 800Mhz FSB, Hyperthreading, Overclockability, Price

I've had this chip in my computer for the last two months and it is blazing fast. It does circles around my Pentium 4 2.0Ghz 400Mhz FSB Laptop. Hyperthreading is definitely the way to go. Skip the 400/533 FSB chips, because they can't touch the performance of the 800's for the money. They are perfect for high intense gaming and are extremely stable. One think to note however, if you need to remove heatsink, be extremely careful! These chips have a tencancy to STICK to the bottom of the heatsink and you can easily bend the tiny pins if your not careful. I've removed the heatsink twice, and both times the processor came with it!!

Strengths: Hyper-Threading 800mhz FSB

Weakness: Multipliers are locked

The model C Pentium 4s are absolutely amazing. Especially, the 2.4ghz and 2.6ghz because they often can be overclocked to 3.2ghz to around 3.6ghz. I bought the 2.4C and clocked it to 3.6ghz with the MSI Neo2 board. It ran amazing cool with the right copper heatsink. Unlike the AMD athlons, the P4's don't require more than 1.7v to hit the high overclock speeds which is a major reason why they run so cool.

Strengths: Best cost/performance ratio among current production P-4s.

The combination of Hyper-Threading and 800 MHz front bus yields noticeable speed improvement over earlier P4 processors operating at higher than 2.4 GHz. Notieable improvement is not equivalent to dramatic faster performance. It is an improvement can be appreciated by intensive multitasking environment like a server. It may not be a significant improvement for every user. For the money I paid, it is a good deal.

Strengths: It is really fast! I was so impressed by its speed! I used to have an 800mhz processor ;)

Weakness: None.

Awesome chip! Runs fast and works beautifully! It is so much better than my old Pentium 3 800MHz chip. Add 1 GB of RAM and video and more sound and boom! IT ROCKS THE HOUSE! Gotta love Intel! :) And Hyper Threading Tech is awesome! :)

Strengths: Hyper-threading support Fast 800MHZ bus Price

Weakness: Cooling

This is a great processor for the price. 800MHZ Bus provides ample speed for gaming and software that utilizes a lot of processor power. The only drawback I have seen thus far is the stock fan it ships with. I would use a fan and heat sink from a third party vendor to keep temperature at ideal level. My processor does not over-clock with the stock fan but it is pushing its limit.

Weakness: None.

Supporting hyper-threading technology, this is one of the best valued CPU around. If you are looking for a affordable gaming machine, this CPU will do the job.
