Antec Three Hundred
4 Star Review  productwiki.com - Jun 13, 2009

The Three Hundred is an entry-level gaming case from Antec. Created with hot components in mind the Three Hundred focuses on the basics: cooling those components on a budget. Featuring enough room for over-sized graphics cards, the Three Hundred features a faceplate made entirely of open grills with dust filters. Including 2 Antec TriCool fans (1 x 120mm, 1 x 140mm) the Three Hundred features many additional fanmounts which lets the system builder decide exactly how much active cooling is neccessary. Cutting out the luxurious more expensive features has allowed Antec to provide a lightweight, affordable case for an entry level system or for those who desire a second barebones portable gaming system for superior mobility. Features Included power supply: none External Drive Bays: 3 x 5.25" Internal Drive Bays: 6 x 3.5" Front ports: 2 x USB2, Audio In/Out Supported Motherboards: up to standard ATX Material: Steel Dimentions: 18" (H) ... PROS: (1) Easy and simple to use. (2) Well built (3) Light weight (4) slick aesthetic (5) comes with plenty of cooling power - 2 adjustable TriCool fans ... CONS: (1) Comes without power supply (2) barebones design - no luxury enhancements, lacks removable drive cages, sound dampening etc... (3) lacks mobility features such as a handle

Budget case on steroids
4 Star Review   By Jay on Mwave.com - May 9, 2009

Strengths: lots of room, bottom mounted PS, convenient top mounted pwr/rst switches, and ports, two 120mm 3 speed fans, room for three more, nice selection of mounting hardware, air filter, Very inexpensive.

Weakness: No floppy bay. but who really uses them anymore?

I'm one of those guys who just wants a good looking case that will keep things cool, and has lots of room for drives and a few DVD writers. This case fits the bill perfectly. The steel is not at all flimsy, A generous box of hardware is supplied to mount your board and a mess of thumbscrews to mount your drives are also included. You wont find any of that spring loaded tool less mounting crap inside. All drives are mounted right to the steel drive cage. Sturdy. Room for 3 extra 120mm fans. the box has A front fan filter and easy to remove side panels. Buy this case. you won't be sorry.

good budget case
4 Star Review   By member hhitmen22 - Oct 18, 2008

Strengths: Cheap and plenty of features: airflow, bays. Convenient power button, usb, and 3.5 mm audio out and mic jack placement.

Weakness: no 3.5" bay, drives screw directly into chassis, small power/HDD access LEDs, steel is relatively weak, only 2 fans pre-installed.

I picked up this Antec 300 for its affordable price and the good airflow it offers. Being a budget case, it lacks features such as vibration dampening rubber grommets for the hard drive or any type of mounting system as all drives are screwed in directly to the chassis. The case has space for 2x120mm front intake, 1x120mm side fan; it comes installed with Antec Tricool 1x120mm rear exhaust and 1x140mm top exhaust. I really like the placement of the power button and front panel connectors. The case is really easy to break down for cleaning and Antec provides a front fan filter but I make my own that can trap more dust. I'm surprised by how pliable the steel case is: the one I bought had a big dent on the case when I brought it home (and there was no visible evidence of damage on the box) that I had to bring back and exchange. So if possible, examine the case out of its box before purchasing/leaving the store. If you can get this case for ~$40, it makes for a decent case, but any more and I would consider a Coolermaster case RC590, which has a similar style/setup but offers more features.

Three Hundred Gaming Case
4 Star Review   By member stockshowgypsy - Sep 21, 2008

Strengths: Good air flow, filters, construction, cost, tricool fans, cable routing

Weakness: hard drive mounting, only one fan

This is the budget version of the 900. It does not have all the fancy led fans and windows of the 900. It does have good air flow and alternate fan locations. Filters are included to cut down on dust. This case is a more economical version that will meet the needs of budget builds that do not need all the bells and whistles of the 900 and p180.

great, roomy, quiet and cool case from a well known company
4 Star Review   By member sportsfan2_2000_1107556537 - Sep 16, 2008

Strengths: lots of room, excellent cooling, psu on the bottom, quiet, very affordable, good brand

Weakness: No 3.5" bays, No front firewire port, Front fans sold separately

I bought this case because i was in need of one and the price for this one was very affordable. My previous case had issues with overheating but that problem was solved the minute i put my computer components inside this case. I would recommend buying two high CFM, low noise 120mm fans if you plan on buying this case though. The two fan setup will cool down about any component you install. Also, this case is roomy enough to install the long high performance video cards like the 8800gts. I would highly recommend this case to anyone interested.
