Wrong product

This was wrong product for my Pavilion dv7 laptop.

Simply Efficient

This is a quality product. Once one gets to know their way around an HP and Windows 7 (both at the top of their class), the possibilities with this remote become HUGE. There are only two draw backs: turning the laptop on with it will only get one to the password screen and one can't create shortcuts on the HP MediaSmart Menu to be used by the remote.

Useful, but..

I bought a really great PH dv7-3165dx which in my opinion is a fair price product. I am happy to find this remote inside and have to admit it is great idea. It is small easy to use and useful. HP Mobile Remote Control for Pavilion dv4/dv5/dv7

I recently purchased a HP DV6 laptop, which is fabulous, and it came with a cute little remote. HP, my hat's off to you on this item., it works fantastic, it's a dream to use when I'm watching my movies and/or Internet TV from my sofa and of course the design is brilliant. KUDOS!!

Horrible

Reviewers here must be kidding! I own an HP dv6, and this is the same that comes with the notebook. It's horrible. You press a button and it looks like it's going to disassemble (and it actually is, as the front part is detaching from the rest and I only used it twice). The button's response is terrible and fails all the time. Unforgivable. Does any know a better replacement?
