Strengths: Quality workmanship, materials
I have been buying the New Balance 800 series trail running shoes for the past eight years or so and find them to be the very best athletic shoe for my needs, which include working out at the local YMCA, fitness walking, mountain biking, and just kicking around in. I have a wide foot, and I am always able to find my size in these shoes. Each year, I buy a new pair of the previous model year (to take advantage of the close-out prices) and I just rotate my shoes--the new ones become my main shoes, and the old ones become my "yard work" shoes. I am wearing my new 809's as I write this review--they feel great, and I expect they will perform as good or better as all the previous pairs. These are great shoes.

Another quality New Balance shoe
Strengths: Cushion, traction
Weakness: None so far.
These shoes are great both on road and off. I bought these to replace a pair of 805's that I'd got a lot of good miles out of. So far they've performed great. The heel is well cushioned. The tread grips gravel and rock well but isn't cumbersome on pavement.

Light Duty All Terrain Shoe
Strengths: Well made, good looking, light weight.
Found my usual NB size of a 8B to be too snug (both length & width)...needed to move up 1/2 size and go to D width. This model is built on a SL1 type last versus the SL2 last I was accustomed to (this accounts for the smaller more low volume fit). My true Brancock size would be 8C. Hope this helps others with fit requirements.

New Balance 809
Strengths: Allow flow of air, very comfortable.
Weakness: None Yet
Great shoe for everyday types of activities. I have used New Balance for over 10 years and this is one of my favorite pairs. They also come in three different widths to allow for room for people with wide feet. Very comfortable, I would buy again.
