5 Star Review   By Colt1911 on Lands\' End - Feb 1, 2014

I have always worn Land's End clothing and have for many years. These shirts are comfortable, iron well or survive the laundry with heavy starch like the old days. Made in Vietnam and not in America where they should be, but for the price the quality is excellent. If we could just get Land's End to buy American made products like this customers would flock too them. Very good product design and fit.

The shirt was perfect for what I needed in every aspect. The shirt was white, not blue.
5 Star Review   By Al4Christ on Lands\' End - Dec 22, 2013

The uncompromising quality of the shirt is bar none & it exactly what I expected from Lands End! The single needle tailoring & the Placket sleeve was Just the making of a Perfect Shirt! I sing in the Choir at my church & I always have to wear a white shirt on all of the times that we sing. Four years ago I purchased your no iron shirts & they have lasted that long & now it was time to buy new shirts. Thank-you for the quality of your products behind everything with the Lands End Label! Many Blessings!

Great Shirt for the Price
5 Star Review   By PCav54 on Lands\' End - Nov 30, 2013

While I was a bit wary after reading some earlier reviews, I found this shirt to be an excellent buy on sale. I was apprehensive about the sizing options; instead of being able to order a 17.5/35 like I usually do, I took a chance on ordering an XL, and to my pleasant surprise, it fit perfectly (maybe just a tad long in the sleeves). The color was an ochre shade of yellow, not the usual lemon yellow, and it looked nice with an olive or tan/brown color suit. Unlike some complaints about fabric quality, I found the shirt to be somewhat beefier than I expected (another pleasant surprise!). It stood up to several washings so far, and ironed well. Bottom line: an excellent quality shirt for the money.

Small, Medium, Large -- type sizing does not work.
2 Star Review   By HVR1 on Lands\' End - Sep 15, 2013

The Small, Medium, Large -- type sizing on these shirts do not work for me. Large, the sleeves were to long and shoulders to big. Medium was to tight in the chest and shoulders. Pricing is good & quality of the garment is good, but the sizing does not work for me. I will not order again and will stick with only shirts that have neck & sleeve sizes.

4 Star Review   By JackGG on Lands\' End - Jul 23, 2013

The fit is like usual for Lands End. I wear an L for most brands but an M for Lands End button downs. The material is ok (but not fantastic). Overall, decent shirt. Worth it when it's on sale.

Bring back 50/50 affordable custom size shirts!
2 Star Review   By Zing on Lands\' End - Apr 28, 2013

Lands' End no longer sell affordable custom sized 50/50 cotton/poly blend oxford shirts. They jacked up the price on the no iron cotton shirts that needs to be ironed after every wash. This company used to have competitive prices, but no longer. I purchased this large sized shirt because of the 50/50 blend (which is more wrinkle-proof) & the sale price, but the sleeves are 35, and I am a 34. I hope Lands' End sells the custom 50/50 shirts again. Until then, I will be shopping elsewhere.

True sizing eliminated
1 Star Review   By Greg49 on Lands\' End - Apr 21, 2013

Used to buy these shirts previously in a 17.5 x 37. Unfortunately, the sizing is now generic (M, L, XL, etc), which does not work well with a dress shirt. I have been forced to look elsewhere for my shirts.

Need dress shirt sixes
2 Star Review   By RNM49 on Lands\' End - Apr 14, 2013

I have bought dozens of this shirt over the years. They are my favorite and wear very well. But after a couple of years, I like to replace them. Now, my 15x33 size is not specifically offered . S-M-L-XL sizing is too imprecise for a dress shirt. Sadly, I must look for other sources...

Will not purchase with generic sport-shirt sizing
1 Star Review   By rwellngton on Lands\' End - Apr 13, 2013

I have purchased Lands' End dress shirts for some 30 years. Your new all-cotton wrinkle-free (40 washes or whatever) do not hold up, have frayed collars and button plackets within a year. Turning to buy some more blend dress shirts, which look great after several years, I see you no longer carry exact sizes, but have gone to generic, sport-shirt sizing. That will not work for a professional-looking dress shirt. I'm sorry to say that I won't be buying any further shirts from you.

Short Shirt Tail
2 Star Review   By dougJofLA on Lands\' End - Mar 30, 2013

I've been buying and monogramming these basic oxfords for well over 20 years. It was my mainstay through leaner years when they were 6 for $100. I just purchased 5 about two weeks back and it was my first order since I could not specifically order an 18x35 in100% cotton. I must admit that even though I ordered an XXL, which one would believe would give plenty of room everywhere, the shirt tail is about 3 to 4 inches shorter than the previous versions in my closet. I will admit the cotton blend did take well to starch, but I cannot get past the shirt tail length. I'm lost as a long time customer even though I really dislike mall shopping. I'm really sorry you decided to save money on the shirt tail length. It's a sad day.

Limited sizing :-(
1 Star Review   By NeedsTrimFit on Lands\' End - Dec 12, 2012

I have purchased these Original Oxford shirts from Lands End for over a decade. I love the hearty feeling of the thick material. The quality of the shirts 5+ years ago was much better than the ones I purchased a couple years ago, but I still get much use from the shirts before they need to be replaced and I came back looking for me. But I am greatly disappointed that I can't get this shirt in a trim/tailored fit anymore. A regular cut leaves lots of fabric flapping under my arms and I appreciated the more snug fit provided by he trim/tailored cut. I'll have to look elsewhere for my shirts if Lands End won't provide this cut in this shirt anymore. Too bad. :-(

Bad business model
1 Star Review   By Klugman on Lands\' End - Dec 3, 2012

After 20 years I am no longer buying shirts from Lands End. I was frustrated with my Last purchase of shirts with only one button on the cuff and the new sizing scheme is the kicker. Your generic sizing does not work with my build (I was a two sport college athlete). When, and if, you come to around to recognize the "cost" of listening to people who lost the integrity of what you stood for you will have my loyalty back. Until then, good luck!

It's a sad day
1 Star Review   By Xcustomer on Lands\' End - Nov 28, 2012

I have bought these shirts for years and still have quite a few in my closet but I have bought my last one. Now that exact sizes are no longer available, I've had to go elsewhere. It's a shame because the fabric and construction are top notch. But if you can't get a size that fits properly, those qualities are useless.

Disappointed in the downgrade
3 Star Review   By Gillmings on Lands\' End - Jul 24, 2012

I have bought the original version of this shirt for my husband for years. Of course, they lasted forever, so I was shocked to see I couldn't order his exact size anymore. The fit is okay for him, but the fabric is just not up to par. The main reason we always bought this shirt is that if I took it out of the dryer early, while still slightly damp, and shook it and smoothed in on the hanger, it never needed ironing. I have tried the pinpoint Oxfords that say they're "no iron", but that was not my experience at all. Nothing ever beat the 60/40 Original. But this is just not the same. The fabric does not smoothe out like it previously did and it just doesn't look as high-quality as it did. The higher price surprises me, also, since the quality has gone down. I don't like paying higher prices, but understand inflation and don't mind it too much if the quality is the same. I do NOT like paying a higher price for lower quality. This shirt is now just average, so I'm only buying a couple to get us through while I look for something better.

Poor quality and fit
1 Star Review   Lands\' End

The fabric is noticeably cheaper than the previous version of this shirt. It looks cheap and the fit is very poor. Bring back the previous sizing and fabric!

New sizing scheme is a disappointment.
4 Star Review   By Pawhitco on Lands\' End - Feb 18, 2012

I have been buying the "Original" Oxford Cloth Dress Shirt for years and love it. I have bought the tall, with a 17" neck size and a 36" sleeve length. The sport shirt sizing creates a fit that is 1/2" too large in the neck and 1" too long on the sleeves. The next size down is too small. I use the shirts in an environment where I must use a cotton/poly blend, so buying other dress shirts that are 100% cotton is out of the question. The quality of this shirt in all other aspects is still excellent. The sport shirt sizing just doesn't fit like a shirt with a specific neck and sleeve size, unless you are the "larger size" that the shirt size is designed for.

Shirts fits perfectly & feels great.
5 Star Review   By Putsie on Lands\' End - Jan 7, 2012

I'm a big guy & finding the right fit in a button-down shirt isn't easy. I read where some guys have questioned the fit or quality of these shirts, but I love Lands End shirts and have always had great luck with them! The color doesn't fade like other brands and the Lands End fit is always perfect. I bought the cotton/poly blend this time so I will be anxious to see how they wear, but if these are anything like the 100% cotton shirts, I'll be enjoying these for a long time.

Super Happy!
5 Star Review   By Brother on Lands\' End - Jan 3, 2012

I wish that Lands End would offer more shirts in the 60/40 cotton poly fabric like this! It doesn't have that no-iron "teflon" feel to it. Send them to the lanudry for wash, iron, and med.starch for 99 cents a shirt and they come back looking like a million bucks! These are good shirts,...now for more colors etc.

Front and back are too short. Sleeves are too long.
3 Star Review   By JacobDrJ on Lands\' End - Dec 5, 2011

As stated by other reviewers, this shirt is hardly ‘tall’. I am 6' 2". When I order a tall shirt, I expect that the front and back are long enough so that when I am walking around, it will not become un-tucked. This shirt is too short for that. Also, the sleeves are a bit long. I would rather the sleeves be too long than too short, but the fact that the torso is so short exacerbates the difference. I am quite disappointed that a tall shirt from an experienced company would make such an error. The shirt itself: Material is nice. Color is good. Tailoring is well done. I expect that this shirt will last a while.

A Good Shirt that could be Great
3 Star Review   By Chuck1633 on Lands\' End - Nov 17, 2011

While I love the feel and the wear of these shirts, the body length really really needs to be a couple of inches longer. Buyers of big shirts are usually big people. Extra length would help keep the shirt tucked and looking nice. Big and Tall is not an option because sleeve length is typically far too long. Adding 2" to the length of these shirts would take the product from OK to Excellent.

Looks great, wears great, and always ready to go!
5 Star Review   By MemphisDoug on Lands\' End - Oct 2, 2011

I've owned many of this style shirt over the years. It always looks great, with perfect tailoring and excellent details. Add a tie and you're ready for any business meeting, then pull of the tie, unbutton the collar and it's the perfect casual shirt as well. Always ready to go - just take it out of the dryer, hang it up and there's no need to iron - the shirt always looks great. When you want that crisp look, a little light starch and ironing is a breeze.

Nice shirt for the money
4 Star Review   By JPinRI on Lands\' End - Oct 1, 2011

3XL sizing is quite adequate for both girth and height. Long enough to stay tucked in on tall guys, roomy around the arms and neck. Shirts keep their appearance. Description says "good for 30 washings" and I'd give it all of that. I stay with the colors vs the whites though as anything white gets dirty easier.

THE SHIRT IS TOO SHORT, SLEEVES TOO LONG AND FABRIC TOO HEAVY
1 Star Review   By HENRI on Lands\' End - Sep 4, 2011

I AM A GENERAL MANAGER WITH STAPLES AND WE HAVE TO WEAR THESE SHIRTS WE ALL HAVE THE SAME SIZING COMPAINTS MY SLEEVES OUR WAY TOO LONG IN RATIO TO HOW SHORT THE FRONT IS WHEN YOU ARE WORKING YOU CANT EVEN RAISE YOUR HANDS OR THE SHIRT COMES UNTUCKED. ALSO THE FABRIC IS SO HEAVY THAT WHEN YOU PUT IT ON YOU IMMEDIATELY START TO SWEAT WITH THE SMALLEST AMOUNT OF ACTIVITY AND OR WORK MAKING THIS SHIRT VERY UNCOMFORTABLE.

I like this shirt
4 Star Review   By Bigthrust on Lands\' End - Jun 13, 2011

This is a basic oxford shirt. It's roomy, well-made and washes well. Sleeves are a bit long for the size (but I roll my sleeves up half the time anyway). This is a casual oxford shirt not a dress shirt. Good deal for a basic, weekend oxford shirt.

Wrinkles on first wash

Beautiful shirt but sleeve length is too long
1 Star Review   By FJO on Lands\' End - May 1, 2011

I bought a Large and had to return it. Sleeve length is disproportionately long for the shirt - it's at least 35+ ", which I would equate with an Extra Large
