Description
Best-selling SBH-250 precision-cut ball head moves swiftly and steadily so you won't miss the action. Constructed of solid, strong magnesium alloy, it's durable and yet lighter in weight than the industry standard. Unlike other ball heads, SBH ball heads are designed with molded body parts, not assembled cut parts, like the competition. Its smooth locking knobs allow you to move the ball head swiftly and securely into the perfect position, even with the heaviest lenses and cameras. It includes two bubble levels, 360-degree scale, fine-tuning knob and a safety lock for extra stability. A special universal VANGUARD quick shoe for body/lens is also included so you can upgrade your system to quick-release immediately.

Worth the Buy
4 Star Review   By WildBill3081 on Adorama - Aug 3, 2013

I bought this for a monopod. It works really well. The action is smooth, and the dials have great feel to them. The quick connects are solid as well. What I like is that it came with two quick connects, so I can always keep one on the grip, and one on the tele. Makes switching things out easier.

Best Purchase for my Tri-Pod
5 Star Review   By TrafficMinder 6 on Adorama - May 15, 2013

I purchased a tripod from a company, which had the traditional head, it broke at the point where the pan adjustment was. Any way. I did like the tripod so I saw the ad at Adorama, purchased this head and have liked it ever since. Glad I bought it.

5 Star Review   By vail skier on Adorama - Jul 23, 2012

Great head for the price. I was considering the BBH 200 model but for less than half the price this head will to the same job and probably last longer.

Super holding!
5 Star Review   By Neven on Adorama - Jun 18, 2012

I have other Vangaurd ballheads on my Monopod and steel tripod. They work good for the use the get but weren't quite sturdy enough for long exposures or downward angles with my Canon 7d and L lenses. This is a perfect upgrade! I have this on my Carbon Fib

The only thing I'm not crazy about was the mounting plate. It's OK, I just thing there are better ones out there.

A Good, Sturdy piece of Gear
5 Star Review   By Jerry46 on Adorama - May 12, 2010

I currently usually use this to support a Nikon 70-200mm lens mounted to D90 body and mounted atop a Velbon Geopod 7 monopod. This head supports the body and lens combination effortlessly. Its action while panning is very smooth, and when the ball is loc

5 Star Review   By DonR on Adorama - Mar 22, 2010

I use this fo my E-520 & 50-500 lens on wildlife photography. I've tried several and this was by far the best for the money. It's uncomplicated, strong and holds the lens exactly where I point it.
