Bought this camrea after my house got broken into. Worked good for a month. After that it quit recording motion. Was on hold with Lorex customer service for 15 minutes before giving up. Sent them a email and still haven't herd back. Would not recommend this product.

Purchased this about a month ago due to recent burglaries in the area. I wanted video on my property in hopes of assisting the police in finding the low lifes if I am a victim. Plus with the night vision if I hear a noise outside I can look for movement without having to turn on house lights. I am really happy with the product. I am confident that if someone enters my property there will be enough detail captured on video for police to identify a culprit. You get a 7 in monitor with this one, they have another with a 9 in monitor. I liked this one as it allows you to go with one camera that comes with it and add on others, up to 4 total, at a later time. It stores a new frame every ten minutes. You can download and store your video to your computer if you like, yet delete what you don't need. You can set to record certain times of day, motion only or full time recording. You can go onto Skype with the included cd software and monitor via your phone or computer at work, like when kids get home. You can set the camera to record over when it is full or leave it set to stop recording when your card is full. It has a motion beep you can turn off if you want. You can talk to people outside without ever opening your door. Just push the button on the back of the monitor to talk via the camera, release to hear what they have to say. Date and time down to the second is on the video. There are 5 pics that come installed on it so you can set to that and it look like a picture frame instead of what is being recorded. You can set to record only certain parts of the day/night. The camera has night vision and glows red at night, and is noticable by those with a guilty conscience. It is sturdy and adjustable by screws. It comes with about a 6 ft cord, and you can order a 15 ft one if needed. Both the camera and monitor have to be plugged in, hence mine is on the patio. The audio is awesome, some of it sweet with the birds chirping and singing. Audio can be adjusted on the monitor from 0 to loud. I opted to bet a 16 gb card so it would record longer before overwriting. Slap the card in your laptop to view what was recorded or you will need a reader. Mine is next to a cordless phone, and my cable box with no interference, I get 5 bars off my wireless cable thru stucco to the camera. For the price, I am happy with the product and recommend to anyone who is not tech savy and wants video. No monthly service charges, monitoring fees.
