Stopped working
1 Star Review   By member Sharonk42 - Apr 10, 2009

Strengths: clear picture when it worked

Weakness: stopped working

My sister gave this to me as a gift and I loved it while it was working. It stopped working about 3 months after I received it. I have tried going to the photoco.com website and I have also tried numerous times to call using the number provided on the website but no one will answer or return any messages.

1 Star Review

Strengths: Haven't found any

Weakness: Resolution, speed, design

I received this as a gift and wish I could get my family member her money back. After working with the Photoshare 7 I had to search for the price on the Internet. I can't believe this sells for more than $10. How stupid is it to have the power cord port on the bottom? When I place the item in the frame it will not stay standing because of the cord. You have to hold the Photoshare to view photos. The 7" screen distorts photos too much. When viewing photos there is about a 12 second delay between shots. That is extremely long when looking at photos. If you plan to purchase a digital photo album spend the extra money and get one that works well.

"stopped working after about 6 months" Same here. Stopped working after exactly 6 months. I can see the image but it's not bright at all. Oh well... it was a gift.

1 Star Review

Strengths: Nice Picture

Weakness: No choice of transitions

I got two of these and had trouble with both reading my SD card after a few days. I ended up returning them. I have tried a couple other models, and think the Photoshare had the nicest picture, but I was disapointed with it because I was limited to the random transition selection chosen by the manufacturer. Personally, I prefer a simple fade and couldn't choose that. Anyway, since both stopped working after a few days, I am looking for another brand (I am certain there is no problem with the SD cards I was using).

Ok for the Tech Savy
2 Star Review   By member mountaineer69 - Dec 20, 2006

Strengths: SD slot, USB,

Weakness: Make sure you load good pictures!! To much Editing.

For my 26 year old daughter it was a great gift. She is able to do all her own programing. But for my 66 year old mother trying to get used to the angle effect (dimming and darkining of the screen as you move around) was a little bothersome. the white effect blew her away and she couldn't look at it. I personally liked it but setting it up for my Mom was to difficult so I returned it. I think I'll make my own using a portable dvd player and then I'll have sound. Dave

4 Star Review   By member frankwalsh - Dec 17, 2006

Strengths: Simple to use, Uses SD and other format cards, The pictures are Clear, Sharp, Bright images that look great from almost anywhere in the room. Portable.

Weakness: Screen resoloution is not great, but on a 7" screen 640 X 480 is not too bad.

Nice frame, I got about 600 Pictures on a 512MB SD card. I have only been using it for two weeks, but I really like it. The USB cable lets me sort and edit the pictures on my computer and down load to the Picture Share frame's SD memory. The on board software lets you rotate, organize, and delete images. There is also a smaller model that fits easily in a pocket.

photoshare 7"
1 Star Review   By member rideutah - Oct 16, 2006

Strengths: creative, conversation starter, easy to use

Weakness: poor resolution, stopped working after about 6 months

I really liked my photoshare despite the poor resolution. However, after just 6 months it has stopped working. The image is still there, but there is no light to the screen at all. If I look really close I can see what is displayed, but it isn't lit up. I am very dissapointed in this, and it is difficult to find the manufacturer, or even figure out how to get a warranty claim.
