Sony Cyber-shot DSC-WX50 (Silver)
4 Star Review cnet.com - Nov 27, 2012

THE GOOD: The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-WX50 offers excellent features for automatic snapshots and speedy shooting performance, and nice photo and video quality for its class. THE BAD: The WX50s controls might be too small for some users and its photos arent sharp enough for pixel peepers. THE BOTTOM LINE: The tiny Sony Cyber-shot DSC-WX50 is a lot of camera for the money, with solid shooting performance, and good photo and movie quality.

Excellent value for the price
5 Star Review By Rosita on Adorama - Apr 23, 2013

I bought this camera to replace a Kodak Easyshare M863 which a friend accidentaly dropped. I must say I am quite surprised and impressed with the performance of this Cyber-Shot, in comparison to my previous one. At under $100, the quality and sharpness of

I just received the camera so still learning to use it. Did not look at book yet but should do so. Now just fun playing with it! After I become more familiar with it will try to remember to return and update my report. But so far a fantastic camera every shot clear and bright despite deliberately trying to shoot under poor conditions.

not geeky enough
5 Star Review By majus on Sony - Official Store - Jul 30, 2012

I love the camera. It's with me always. I love its small size. I love its low-light sensitivity. I'm impressed by the way it takes multiple images in some modes and recombines them for enhanced dynamic range. I went head-to-head with a friend comparing features with his Canon Elph 300, and he had more control in some areas. The Canon was more powerful for photo geeks. The Sony is more useable for non-geeks, but getting the most out if requires considerable geekiness. It really doesn't make sense not to have included a manual exposure+aperture mode. I'm jealous of the Canon's ability to "take movies continuously, and then when you hit the shutter, capture the previous 5 seconds in a mini-movie". But I'm very happy with the Sony. The biggest thing I'd wish for, after Manual, is "weather resistance". It begs to be stuffed in a pocket or backpack and forgotten until needed, but those are dirty unfriendly environments for this camera. You can't beat this camera for the price. The other geek-features (3D, sweeping panorama, smile detection, funky art modes like "toy camera", "miniature") will mostly never be used, but they work fine and are fun.

Great in low light
5 Star Review By Samer on Sony - Official Store - Apr 7, 2012

My first impression on this camera is that it is a great camera for price offered. with 2.6 min aperture lens images are really great, bright even without flash. colors on camera's screen are little bit more red but on the computer monitor they are correct. of course photos are not sharp compared to CCD sensor cameras but they are one of the best for CMOS ones. wish if there was control on aperture and color modes.
