Unfortunately Unlucky....
4 Star Review   By PhattyCow on Sony - Official Store - Sep 6, 2013

I would say best waterproof camera out there. Great in high light and fast capture is good. Pros: -Beautiful design -Good quality -Video recording is amazing -Has simi 3D capability -HDMI out -Can add music and view slide shows -Great display -Touch screen -Magnifying glass shot is great -Power on and capture time is fast Cons: -Touch UI seemed slow and laggy -Low light pictures didn't turn out too well -Zoom isn't as good as they show (of course but i was optimistic and believing) -Filters and scenes I thought were useless -Slider got ruined easily -Panoramic didn't work well -No Wifi -Having to open the battery door just to charge seemed dangerous to the rubber gasket -Battery life wasn't good -Battery indicator goes from 3 to 2 then back to 4 and then 3 etc... wasn't very accurate Sad ending: Unfortunately was using it in the lake even with the floating strap bought from Sony and it got away from me and never saw it float =( lost and never found =,( If prices drop low enough might buy it again. It hurts to have lost such a great device. Wished to get more time from it...

Fantastic little Camera
5 Star Review   By wainair on Sony - Official Store - May 3, 2013

I bought this camera after reading the above review. I needed a replacement for my old cybershot. It was the better part of 10 years old and going like a trooper but the new Magnifying Glass Plus mode with the lens surround light looked like just the thing I was waiting for to replace the excellent macro photography of my old cybershot. The TX-30 does great macro! The waterproofing of the camera is a major bonus! I sea kayak a lot and I was always paranoid to take my old camera with me. Now I just need to make sure I buy the optional camera float for the TX-30 and no worries. Then there is the wealth of in camera effects! The HDR is amazing as are the watercolour and illustration effects! Attached are a couple of quick effect shots I took, Wow, cameras have come a long way in the past 10 years! I've only had the TX-30 in my hands for 8 hours so I'm sure I have many more levels of performance to master in the future. I'm excited about navigating it's depths! This is like an DSLR in the palm of your hand. Great Job Sony!

Best camera I've ever owned!
5 Star Review   By Resuri on Sony - Official Store - Apr 29, 2013

( Watch my review on YouTube: youtu.be/_mmNFOSshJk... ) I sell cameras for a living, so I've seen my fair share of underwater cameras, and they're all so bulky and cumbersome. But not this one! It's so slender, and I love that it's got a sliding lens protector on the front to keep your lens from getting scratched while it's not in use. This camera has great features, like being able to take 3D photos and film hi-def video (so hi-def that there's a setting for filming blu-ray quality videos. Wow!). Also, you can take pictures while filming and you don't get that annoying pause or shutter noise in the video playback of where you took the picture. Oh, AND the auto-focus is super fast and the macro mode will focus up to 1 cm away from your target... both for picture taking and when you're filming. The touch screen is also really great compared to other touch screen cameras I've tested. It's pretty much like using the screen on an iPhone, it's so reactive and easy to use. AND, most important of all, I love that this camera is Mac & iMovie compatible! Yay! :-D (The only downside to this camera is that the touch-screen is so sensitive that water affects it, so you have to disable the touch screen before you put it in the water. Also, it only take a microSD card).
