Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX200V Review
4 Star Review Imaging Resource - Nov 26, 2012

There's a problem with feature-rich, life-proof digital cameras: they typically look like feature-rich, life-proof digital cameras, and are about as pocket-friendly as a brick. With the TX200V, Sony shows it's possible to make a camera jam-packed with worthwhile features, safe to use at the beach, in the pool, or on the slopes, and yet to give it a body that would be right at home on the catwalk. Inside, the Sony TX200V sports a high-res 18 megapixel sensor, a 5x Zeiss-branded zoom lens with SteadyShot stabilization, and even a GPS receiver for geotagging. On the rear panel, a large organic LED touch screen that's the main control method, with physical controls kept to the bare minimum. And the TX200V is no slouch, either: it shoots at ten fps, and can capture high-res stills during HD movie capture! On paper, plenty to love -- but how does this digital camera handle in the real world? Read our Sony TX200V review for the verdict!

3.5 Star Review cnet.com - Apr 12, 2012

THE GOOD: The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX200V is a powerful and relatively fast-performing ultracompact camera capable of taking some high-quality snapshots and movie clips. THE BAD: The TX200V is very expensive and its body collects fingerprints and the door covering its battery and ports seems insubstantial given its waterproofing. THE BOTTOM LINE: If youre looking for the ultimate ultracompact point-and-shoot, the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX200V is probably it. Too bad its price tag is ridiculously high.

Went through 2 in less than a year!
1 Star Review By Sony hater on Adorama - Apr 22, 2013

I bought this camera and in less than a year have gone through two. The first one cracked and the second one had a water seal failure and a cracked LCD screen. Customer service at Sony is awful. Save your money and buy a different camera.

Lightweight and easy to use
4 Star Review By Toddowen on Adorama - Apr 18, 2013

I purchased the Sony Cyber-Shot DSCTX200V for both it's great looks and its waterproof capabilities. I have used the Sony Cyber-Shot DSCTX200V on 4 snorkeling trips and 2 trips to the pool. When I first unpacked the camera, I was a little worried about it

A nice and expensive piece of junk
1 Star Review By tatos on Sony - Official Store - Jan 14, 2013

I bought this camera as a gift for my wife and it turned to be a huge fiasco. 70% of the pictures we took in the 3 days we had this camera came up with a blue flare in the upper right corner. When the flash was used we had very white faces and very dark backgrounds. We thought that this would be a nice upgrade to our previous TX20 but we were wrong. Don't waste your precious moments and money buying this camera.

My Best Action Camera
5 Star Review By SBNP on Sony - Official Store - Sep 9, 2012

100% from this camera: youtu.be/feY2w2BML2g... If mounting isn't an issue this camera offers double the HD speed than any consumer action camera on the market. 60fps@1080p. This camera is my staple. It bridges the gap when weather/ size don't allow me to use my A77 or NEX-7. Once you compare these feature to any action camera out there. they don't compare. The handheld shot were taken with the TX200 in this vid: youtu.be/6PM3mS0gRkQ...
