Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX20 Review
3 Star Review  Imaging Resource - Dec 31, 1969

There's no denying the Sony TX20 is a cool little digital camera. Everyone who saw or used it was wowed by its appearance, and they also seemed to enjoy using it immensely. Finding out the TX20 is also waterproof usually prompted expressions of disbelief. The TX20's 16.2-megapixel image sensor compares well to other waterproof cameras, and its 4x Zeiss lens does as well as can be expected for such a small camera. Read our review for more about the very appealing Sony Cyber-shot TX20!

Best Camera/Video
4 Star Review   By Sue from Queens on Adorama - Jul 2, 2013

I purchased this product because it has excellent quality pictures as well as video. I used the video as well as taking pictures at the same time. This camera is waterproof, which is always a plus since we take pics at the water parks. I can't find any fa

Flash malfunction right away
2 Star Review   By choni on Sony - Official Store - May 10, 2013

Im very disappointed about this camera, sure it takes good picture but its not reliably. I used in underwater and the next day the flash failed. It says E 91.01 error and it doesnt work. If you want a good underwater camera look for Olympus. I had it for 5 years and it still works perfect.. I just wanted to upgrade to a new camera and this is what i got. ..

The most amazing camera ever
5 Star Review   By FlowerA on Sony - Official Store - Apr 20, 2013

This camera is the best in my book. Its photo image is super clear to the tiniest detail, you can literally just point and shoot and the photo comes out great, love the touchscreen, SO many cool picture options!! I LOVE the intelligent auto - so clever! If you are having second thoughts about this camera, stop. Just buy.

Sony TX20 - Great Little Camera
4 Star Review   By member MikeShep - Apr 1, 2013

Strengths: Loved this camera, took it away snowboarding with my Camera Demon www.camerademon.com and got some great footage, really easy to use as it has a seperate record button to record video in 1080i.

Weakness: None that I found, was very pleased with it

This camera was perfect for my ski holiday, it took great footage, amazing panoramas, 3D photos and great burst sequences, think it is a great all round camera.

I would recommend this camera.
4 Star Review   By B on Adorama - Mar 19, 2013

When I was learning how to use this camera, I found it easier to use Sony's online instruction manual than trying to navigate the various windows in the viewfinder.

Great little camera for rough activities
5 Star Review   By erikatastic on Sony - Official Store - Mar 8, 2013

I love this little camera. I bought it for a trip to the tropics, knowing I would take it kayaking, hiking, up a volcano, and snorkeling. I took many underwater photos that came out well in the full sun, using the underwater mode, and they actually were corrected for that usual "blueness" that underwater photos have. I also shot video underwater, during the day, and it came out well. Action photos of sea life, kayaking, landscapes, and panoramic shots were all terrific. The only disappointment was the nighttime underwater photos, although I really shouldn't complain. It took mostly blurry photos when light was not bright, but again, it's not a DSLR. Happy with my purchase, and recommend to all sporty people who want a camera that can tolerate a little bump here and there, and that can swim along with them.

Awful
1 Star Review   By HBK45 on Sony - Official Store - Feb 7, 2013

I purchased this camera for a spring break trip in 2011. It worked beautifully. Great photos, including many underwater. The following spring break, 2012, I packed this camera and looked forward to more great underwater shots. The first time I submerged it, it filled with water and was ruined. No camera for the rest of the vacation (I had to take photos using my iPhone for the rest of the trip - obviously, no underwater.). To say I was mad is an understatement. I don't like wasting money. Stay away!

Stay Away from the Camera and Customer Service
1 Star Review   By Mosin on Sony - Official Store - Jan 5, 2013

Took the camera out of the box, and noticed that the LCD had a lift near the screen protector to find out that there is no screen protector that the part lifted up was part of the screen. Called Customer Service and was told they don't make this camera no more and, if this is the build quality of sony now a days I will stay away.. was going to purchase a NEX5R, now forget it....

I love this camera!
5 Star Review   By photoguy1981 on Sony - Official Store - Dec 19, 2012

I shoot professionally with a 5DMKII, and my girlfriend got me this so I have a camera to take kayaking, hiking, etc.... I've only been playing with it for two days, but so far am very impressed by the image quality, as well as the low light performance. Granted it struggles a bit at low light, but for a point and shoot, I'm not disappointed at all. One of the features I was most excited to use is the HD video recorder, and once again, it is impressive! Nice smooth frame rate, very effective steady cam, and surprisingly good audio, although I haven't used it in an area with a lot of background noise though. My one complaint is the goofy 3x4 image format. Not sure what Sony's thinking was on this, but I'm sure I'll get used to it. You can always compose your photo to crop it to a 4x6 at a later time. I can't wait to use this out on the water, and will have another smaller review once I use it underwater, which I'm also pretty excited for!
