4 Star Review  letsgodigital.org - Nov 23, 2008

The Sony Cybershot T300 is a camera with pleasant features, an ultra-large sized monitor and a very own way of operation. A camera that lets you stand out with a successful design. After testing the Sony Cybershot DSC-T300 technically as well as in practice, we have come to a conclusion with mixed feelings. The concept is successful as far as we're concerned, however, in relation to the image quality, the camera performs averagely and no more than that.

Sony Cybershot DSC-T500
2 Star Review  productwiki.com - Jan 13, 2009

The Sony Cybershot DSC-T500 is 10.1 megapixel released in late September, 2008, and Sonys first digital camera capable of recording HD video. It shares many of the hardware specifications as the previously released Sony Cybershot DSC-T700 (10.1 megapixels, 3.5-inch touch-screen LCD, optical image stabilization), drops the 4GB of internal memory, but adds MPEG4 AVC/H.264 video capable of capturing frames at 30 per second at an HD resolution of 720p. To view HD content, you can connect the camera to your HDTV via an HDMI cable (not included). The camera has an MSRP of $399.99. Features 10.1 megapixel record HD video @ 720p; MPEG4 AVC/H.264 @ 30 fps 3.5-inch touch-screen LCD optical image stabilization Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar 5X optical zoom lens Memory Stick Duo Media or Memory Stick PRO Duo Media format stereo microphone records stereo audio face detection dimensions: 3 7/8" x 2 3/8" x 27/32" weight: 5.5 oz (155 g) view photos ... PROS: (1) Large 3." touch-screen LCD (2) Includes 16:9 photo mode, optimized for widescreen displays (3) Records HD video; 720p using MPEG4 AVC/H.264 @ 30 fps (4) 5X optical zoom vs. 4X found on T77 and T700 (5) Records over 3 hours of 720p video on a 16 GB memory card ... CONS: (1) Lower res LCD than the T700; 230k vs. 921k...however, its the same as the T77 (2) Uses Sony Memory Stick only (3) You must use the dock to connect to TV or computer; no direct connection from camera (4) Battery gets drained fairly quickly when recording video (5) Only includes 4 MB of internal memory

not sure why i buy these anymore...
2 Star Review   By member miyazawa2 - Oct 28, 2008

Strengths: good multi-functional, touch-screen digital camera with lots of features and functions and options

Weakness: i believe it came on the market for 3-4 weeks, then got replaced by another model...???!!!!

i bought this when it first came on the market for ~$300, and every week after that the price dropped, and now it's not even being sold any longer because this model is already obsolete and is replaced by the t700... i don't understand why sony makes these things, knowing very well that with technology the way it is these days, and knowing very well how the competition is... they still sell these things off the bat for ~$300!!

Sony Cybershot DSC-T300/B Digital Camera
5 Star Review   By member IbarraYJ - Sep 6, 2008

Strengths: Compact design! 10.1MP!

Weakness: No viewfinder! Fingerprints on screen...

The Sony Cybershot DSC-T300/B is a nice digital camera when you're on the go. Its compact design lets you put it in your pocket or small bag. This camera takes pretty good pictures, not as good as a DSLR, but one of the best point-in-shoot cameras. It has face detection and alot of other features. I don't like the fact that it doesn't have a view finder because when you're taking pictures on a sunny day its hard to see the screen. Another drawback to having a touch screen camera is that you get a ton of fingerprints on the screen. I'd have to say this is a nice camera though if you're looking for a compact design that looks rally nice.

5 Star Review   By member wrpear1 - Apr 28, 2008

Strengths: Great pictures. I like it because the lense is fixed and does not moto out when camera is turned on.

Weakness: None that I have found yet.

I have used for about a week and I am very happy with the camera and feel that it is a great value.I like the touch screen and the fixed lense.I think the black color is cool to.
