Strengths: Its a Camera
Weakness: Pretty much Everything
Terrible image resolution. There is no battery life, the camera takes maybe 40 pics and the batteries are dead. Only us rechargeable batteries otherwise it will cost a fortune to use. Shutter speed is slow, and the focal length is odd. If you are physically five feet from something it appears you are ten feet away. Nothing more than a childs point and shoot beginner camera.

Camera will Fail on YOU!
Strengths: Cheaply Made
Weakness: Will Have Card Lock error!
This camera is cheaply made, over priced, and will eventually have a card locked message. This message will come up no matter what you do, even trying different cards with no lock on them.

S630 Silver Digital Camera
Strengths: Picture quality, size
Weakness: Battery life, feels cheap
For the price this can't be beat, but like others have said battery life is what gives this 3 stars. This was a present to my nephew which i also included an Eneloop battery pack and he was taking pictures right away. Easy to learn, small body and light makes this perfect for anyone starting out with their first digital camera. If you can find it under 100 don't hesitate to buy.

Some usesful Tips for this Camera users
Strengths: Cheap & Best
Weakness: Shutter is slow
I found this cheap camera is shooting high quality pictures & very easy to use. I have an expensive digital camera of another brand (better not to mention the name) and it is very difficult to use. Someone complained that the pictures are blur. Even I had the same problem because I pressed so many wrong settings. To correct it, I read the manual, went to Setting2, and selected RESET, I got my...

I found this cheap camera is shooting high quality pictures & very easy to use. I have an expensive digital camera of another brand (better not to mention the name) and it is very difficult to use.
Someone complained that the pictures are blur. Even I had the same problem because I pressed so many wrong settings. To correct it, I read the manual, went to Setting2, and selected RESET, I got my camera back to excellent condition.
Someone has problem with battery. Use Rechargeable batteries. Pls note that there are different capacities like 2000, 2500 etc. This camera needs 2500. Use a good charger, and you get a lot of shots. NiMH type is good.
Take care to inform this camera which type of battery you use. There is a menu called BATTERY. Select the type of battery you use, ie Alkaline or Rechargeble and the camera knows the type. If you use one type of battery and the camera doesn't know it, perhaps there could be a problem.
One thing I loved in this camera is to view the stored pictures on LCD, without pressing the Power ON button. In my previous camera, I had to press the Power ON button to see the playback. The disadvantage was the lens zooms out. There are lot of occasions when you need to only see the already taken pictures, or show to someone. Zooming out the lens unnecessarily wears it out, drains the battery. So this camera avoids this and prolongs battery life by showing/editing the display without making on the Camera lens.
I would prefer to retain this camera and dispose the other brand.

Strengths: Price, compact, easy to use
Weakness: Battery life, Shutter speed
This camera does score better than others with this sub-$100 price range. Although it does not have whole lot of features as those in a higher price range, it is basic enough for day-to-day use or give it to a young teen. The camera size is compact that can put into your pocket. You do not need to read the manual to start using the camera. The picture quality is above average. However, it seems...

However, it seems to me that the shutter takes a little bit longer to capture the picture than others. The battery life on this camera is not desireable. Make sure you always keep some extra rechargeable batteries with you.
