Nikon D600 Review
4.5 Star Review Imaging Resource - Dec 13, 2012

Nikon leads the way again, with the first "affordable" full-frame digital SLR. Fun to shoot, the Nikon D600 offers as little or as much control as you want, perfect for both amateurs and more advanced photographers; even pros will feel right at home. Its 24.3-megapixel sensor offers excellent detail, and performs well in low light. In addition to stills, the Nikon D600 captures Full HD video at a greater range of frame rates, and includes not only great audio controls and an external mic jack, but a headphone jack to monitor what you're recording. There is a bit of a dust issue with the Nikon D600, which seems to be worse in the first few thousand frames, so users should learn to clean their sensors. Still, the Nikon D600 is an excellent digital SLR with impressive image quality. We have no trouble recommending it highly. Read our Nikon D600 review for more!

Nikon D600 (Body Only)
4 Star Review cnet.com - Oct 9, 2012

THE GOOD: Theres a lot to like in the Nikon D600, including a great set of shooting features, comfortable and intelligent design, and excellent photo quality and performance. THE BAD: Photos display some unrecoverable clipping in the highlights that you dont expect in a camera of its caliber. THE BOTTOM LINE: The Nikon D600 is a really good camera for the money, as long as youre willing to shell out for the lenses that can do it justice.

Great camera!
5 Star Review By Mike on Adorama - Oct 15, 2013

I am a part time photographer, who shoots on the side. I do not need a work horse like the D4 or D800. Focus system is very accurate and predictable. Low light performance is incredible. Have not had the issues others have had with shutter and sensor. I would highly recommend this camera.

Dust spots on sensor
2 Star Review By Astrodonkey on Adorama - Oct 2, 2013

Mine came out of the box with dust spots on the sensor. I did not want to take it in for cleaning immediately so I am going to return this and wait for the D610, which is supposed to be available soon and fixes this known manufacturing defect. Search online, you can read all about this problem. I was hoping to get a "fixed" model but, no such luck. The camera itself is awesome. I really like it. Adorama's return policy and procedures are top notch. I will get the D610 from them when it is available.

FANTASTIC CAMERA
4 Star Review By Big Al on Adorama - Aug 4, 2013

I shoot landscape, macro, and portraits. I traded in my d7000 for the d600. I love the low noise performance of the d600, and the fact that its the same size as the d 7000. The only thing I don't like is the 39 point focus system right in the center. I would pay Nikon to take it back, and change it.

Watch out for sensor spots!
4 Star Review By RAM on Adorama - Jul 24, 2013

I purchased a new D600 in July of 2013. I was shocked to find the dreaded sensor spots on my photographs after only two weeks of use. I had read about this issue, but mistakenly assumed Nikon would have handled the problem on recently manufactured units. Now I have to send my two-week-old D600 in for warranty repair. All I can say is BEWARE!
