Nikon D5200 Review
4.5 Star Review Imaging Resource - Jun 14, 2013

The Nikon D5200 may technically be geared for "advanced beginners" -- boasting an easy-to-use design and relatively affordable price -- but it also carries a considerable amount of photographic power. The digital SLR captures exceptional photos that rival those taken by more higher-end cameras, even in low light, thanks to its sophisticated 24.1-megapixel sensor and imaging processor. Add in Full HD movie recording, a relatively fast burst shooting mode and a ton of advanced features, and the D5200 stands as one of the best DSLR investments a fledgling photographer can make. Read our Nikon D5200 review for all the details.

Nikon D5200 (with 18-55mm lens, Black)
4 Star Review cnet.com - Feb 13, 2013

THE GOOD: With excellent photo and video quality for its class, a fluid shooting design and solid feature set the Nikon D5200 delivers a lot for the money. THE BAD: Though it has no significant flaws, the lack of an autofocus motor in the body limits your lens-selection flexibility, THE BOTTOM LINE: The Nikon D5200 makes a great choice for family and vacation photographers.

Sent it Back
3 Star Review By Shutterbug on Adorama - Jul 19, 2013

I read the reviews and looked at YouTube and from the reviews I thought "Why Not Give it a Try?" I was going to upgrade fromt he D5100 to the D5200. The cameras are similar with difference in focusing points, stereo mic etc. I was impressed with the statisitis. When I received the camera and checked it out for sharpness, it was just "ok" with this kit lens. 24MP is a lot so maybe a better lens would let the camera perfrom to its ability. One thing I was disappointed in though was the ISO noise. I have shot the D5100 and the D5200 has much more noise even starting at 1600 (with the High ISO NR off was pretty noticeable and at 3200 it was unacceptable to me) I tried with tne High ISO NR on also. I have no other complaints about the camera but I sent it back. I think the 24MP on such a small sensor would be problems for me. I am going back to the D5100-16 MP is more than enough and the ISO noise is tons better. Just my opinion; I am sure others will have theirs too.

Love it!
5 Star Review By James on Adorama - Apr 30, 2013

I bought this after my D5100 was stolen. I love this camera, it's basically the same as my 5100 but with a larger print size due to the 24MP image.
