DCRP Review: Nikon D3200
4 Star Review  DCResource - May 30, 2012

If you're looking for an entry-level digital SLR that's very easy to use, look no further than the Nikon D3200. It takes nice-looking photos (just keep an eye on the exposure), offers a feature set that'll please consumers (and maybe a few enthusiasts), and it's small and light enough to carry around every day. It's not a great choice for the more hardcore user, due to the lack of bracketing and other manual controls, and I wouldn't recommend using live view for anything moving. If you can live with those issues then I think you'll definitely get your money's worth with the D3200.

Nikon D3200 Review
4.5 Star Review  Imaging Resource - Dec 31, 1969

Affordable and easy to use, the Nikon D3200 really doesn't disappoint, providing a small body, improved controls, and a remarkably high-resolution 24.2-megapixel APS-C sensor. We found it capable and pleasantly quiet to shoot, and it's still easy to recommend to novice or advanced amateur alike. We wish the lens stood up a little better to the high-resolution sensor, but we think most family photographers will be quite happy with both camera and lens. A great DSLR kit
5 Star Review   By Forrestloop on Adorama - Nov 12, 2013    ( See more reviews from Adorama )

I bought this kit from Adorama, it included an extra battery and Lexer memory card. Its a great Backup to my D7000, I bought it for my wife really, but it seems that I am always using it. With the kit 18-55, 55-300 and small SB400 flash, she is all set. Even have her own sling BackPack.

Buying Refurbished was a Mistake
3 Star Review   By Ash on Adorama - Oct 15, 2013    ( See more reviews from Adorama )

I was so excited to purchase this camera after 3 years of trying to decide on my first DSLR. I went with the refurbished model simply because it was a great deal and included a warranty. I had only used the camera for one hour when I discovered that there were major electrical issues. The screen went purple, an error message popped up, and I couldn't even get it back on without removing the battery first. To be fair, I think it's a really great camera, but I will have to repurchase it new. It's been six days since my return was received and I still haven't gotten any word from adorama about my credit or refund. I'm really disappointed with the experience I had. Overall, it really is a great camera. If you are willing to take the time to learn it, go for it. But buy it new and avoid the hassle I've dealt with. It's only about a hundred bucks difference.

Perfect timing and price
5 Star Review   By Okreas on Adorama - Oct 15, 2013    ( See more reviews from Adorama )

Lately, I've been trying to get a decent camera and I was scammed.. I couldn't have done anything without finding another camera at a lower price. This was the website that saved me from my Job. The camera may be basic but it has the sufficient quality for my experience. I always use Aperture setting for my photos to quickly take photos of events. Although it was difficult to take pics in the dark with the lense that came with it, I think it could compensate for the sharpness of the photo.

Fantastic images, a couple of problems
4 Star Review   By DD on Adorama - Aug 21, 2013    ( See more reviews from Adorama )

I have been a professional photog. shooting advertising work for over 30 years. I love the Nikon D3200. The images are fabulous! With that said, on auto focus about every 6th or 7th frame will appear to be out of focus just slightly. It is not blur. Also, I have an off brand battery grip and it works fine however, after letting the camera sit turned off with the batteries in the grip for about two weeks they completely drained. Yes they are Nikon batteries. I will be contacting Nikon service about both issues.

D3200 vs my D90
4 Star Review   By IJN on Adorama - Aug 6, 2013    ( See more reviews from Adorama )

Decided I wanted to augment my Nikon camera inventory with a lighter and easier to travel with DSLR. Decided to get the D3200. It's lighter and smaller than my D90 and makes my backpack easier to manage. It does not have all the bells and whistles as my D90....but in reality...I don't use them that much. Also traveling with only a 35MM lens instead of the usual wide angle and 18-200 zoom. Getting great shots and less hassle....The camera works for me !!!

5 Star Review   By UKJohn56 on Adorama - Jul 24, 2013    ( See more reviews from Adorama )

I purchased a reconditioned NIkon D3200 and was very impressed with it right out of the box. It looked brand new with no flaws. It was so easy to start up without even reading the manual. The camera has a ton of features that will require some homework and practice, but that's the fun part. I am looking forward to learning and growing in photography with my first true DSLR.

Great Camera !
4 Star Review   By Al on Adorama - May 14, 2013    ( See more reviews from Adorama )

Extremely lightweight, easy to use. Great detail especially at higher ISO. The only negative comment I have is that NEF (raw files) isn't supported by Photoshop Elements 9. I had to get Lightroom 4 or Elements 11.

I am upgrading from a Canon Digital Rebel XT & the differences are staggering. Since I shoot a lot of lightning photos, I have to use a wide angle lens to cover more sky. The extra megapixels really help me crop into the images & still have a high res fil

Great Camera!
5 Star Review   By JR on Adorama - Apr 30, 2013    ( See more reviews from Adorama )

Great camera! I have wanted a DSLR for a while just didn't know if I wanted to spend that much. This camera is well worth the money, I should have done it a year ago. I take more pictures of the kids and scouts. It is helping make memories. Thanks!

I would encourage if you are wanting to get into some casual photography this is a great camera for that. The ease of use is what I really enjoy about it, having never used a DSLR for an extended period of time I feel very comfortable using it. I was a bi

I find the easiest setting is sports mode. It takes great pictures and until I can really learn all the other settings, sports mode does the trick for me.

Notable Failure in Nikon DSLR"s Line Up!
1 Star Review   By VSB on Adorama - Mar 3, 2013    ( See more reviews from Adorama )

This review documents my total dissatisfaction with a Nikon D3200. Since purchasing the D3200 some 7 months ago, I've captured less than 300 images. This is in sharp contrast to the 2000+ images captured with my D70 during the same time period last year.

Nikon D3200
5 Star Review   Crutchfield.com    ( See more reviews from Crutchfield.com )

Crutchfield has collected 3 user reviews for this product with an average rating of 5.0 out of 5 stars. The most recent reviewer said, "I've been a photography enthusiast for the past 22 years. My first camera, a hand-me-down from my father, was a fully manual 35mm SLR. I've been shooting digitally exclusively now for the past 12 years, however, this Nikon D3200 is my first digital SLR and I have owned it now for six weeks. I would recommend this camera to three main categories of users: (1) Photography enthusiasts who want more resolution, more settings, and more versatility (choosing different lenses, filters, and flashes, etc.) than a point-and-shoot, (2) Semi-pro photographers - while it is considered an entry-level DSLR, this camera, with the right accessories such as a bigger telephoto lens and a quality speedlight flash, has high enough resolution and the ability to make some or most of your setting manually that it is good enough to be used by a semi-professional photographer, and (3) I read a bunch of professional photographer forums before I bought this camera. It turns out that a good number of full-fledged pros are carrying the D3200 in their bags as a backup camera due to its 24 MP resolution and very reasonable price. Pros need to have a quality backup in case their main camera malfunctions. Also, this camera can shoot video at full 1080p resolution at either 24 fps (for a cinematic look) or at 30 fps (for a video camera look)."

There are serious limitations on available lenses. AF-S is required for auto-focus AF will not do. You are limited to short lenses if you don't have $6000+ to spend. Nikon's currently shipping 80-400mm is AF so there is no auto-focus. For wildlife photogr
