Nikon Coolpix P7700 Review
4.5 Star Review Imaging Resource - Dec 20, 2012

It's taken three tries, but Nikon has finally produced a flagship Coolpix digital camera that solidly holds its own against its top competitors. The new Nikon P7700 boasts an upgraded 12-megapixel sensor and a fast 7.1x zoom lens with a maximum aperture of f/2.0, as well as a number of other enhancements. Nikon removed the optical viewfinder from the Coolpix P7700, but we actually see this as a plus, especially since the 3-inch vari-angle LCD screen is easy to view and allows you to compose in tight spots. Sans viewfinder, the Nikon P7700's design is more compact, comfy and classic than its predecessors. Ultimately, it comes down to image quality and the P7700 delivers sharp still images and Full HD videos -- with just a few quirks -- and produces large, high-quality prints at lower ISOs. 3.5 Star Review cnet.com - Nov 30, 2012

THE GOOD: A comfortable shooting design and nice photos in bright light number among the strengths of the Nikon Coolpix P7700. THE BAD: The P7700s performance is sluggish, and despite being the largest camera in its class it no longer has an optical viewfinder. THE BOTTOM LINE: Its a solid enthusiast "compact" that will please a lot of shooters, but the Nikon Coolpix P7700 doesnt quite deliver at midrange ISO sensitivities and its image-processing overhead might annoy impatient photographers.

Complements my D7000
5 Star Review By sirius56 on Adorama - Apr 30, 2013

I bought the P7700 to complement my D7000 and it does that very well. Operation and menus are similar to the D7000 but the P7700 feels half the size and is easier to carry. The articulated display is useful for discrete shooting.

I use this as my standard camera. It works great indoors, including the vidoe. Wish it had a continuous mode like the J1 (my other Nikon camera, but aside from that is superior to J1 in every way. It takes great action shots. The focus works well in all c

I always wanted a small compact camera that would offer some of the features you would find on a dslr. My opinion of the P7700: excellent image quality, nice build, very good ergonomics, and very good macro-mode shooting. Probably the biggest thing that
