good and easy to use
Strengths: easy to use
Weakness: AA batteries
was easy to handle. watch out for only one thing this camera uses AA batteries, so you have to buy the recharable batteries and the adapter. But camer is itself is good. I recomend it.

Nikon Coolpix L5
Strengths: Small, easy to use, love the crop N D-lighting, Face detection *portrait a+, nice to be able to use AA batteries, voice memo icon (nice).
Weakness: ISO could be better for sports, no manula features, slow response to taking another photo, Auto Focus takes awhile to focus, no spot metering, Optical zoom isn't what it says to be.
This camera is overall okay for me. I've taken some great photos of my kids and when I was on vacation. Small enought to lug around in your purse. The battery is good, no need to go charging it, if run out can get another AA. A great camera for begginners or someone who just want to take photos of people who can sit still. The zoom could be wider and more longer tho.

Strengths: great clarity on pictures, easy to use out of the box, good common-sense functionality
Weakness: None found yet
We bought this to replace a lost camera and paid about the same as we had for much less in the previous camera. the pictures are clearer and the camera does what we want to do with it, without having to read any manuals to try to figure out how. Grandma and grandpa are loving the pictures of our new son.

Nikon CoolPix L5 Digital Camera 7 MP
Strengths: Very easy to use and operate.
Weakness: Seems slightly slow resetting for a new picture after having taken one.
This was our first digital camera and it is very easy to setup and operate. The controls and buttons are logically arranged and we really enjoy the 2.5 inch monitor. Recommend purchasing a high speed memory eard, such as the SanDisk 1 GB Ultra II SD card. We're impressed with the camera.

Nikon CoolPix L5
Strengths: Geat pictures - what else do you want from a camera?
Weakness: So many features, buttons, switches, et cetera that it can take a while to figure out how to make full use of your new camera
Definitely take the time to read the user's manual for this one. When first using the CoolPix L5, I somehow got it in some mode where colors weren't being reproduced accurately. Finally had to resort to the "Return to Factory Defaults" setting to recover. Also, like most, if not all, digital cameras, the L5 just _eats_ AA batteries. It comes with a pair of alkaline AAs, but do yourself a favor...

Finally had to resort to the "Return to Factory Defaults" setting to recover. Also, like most, if not all, digital cameras, the L5 just _eats_ AA batteries. It comes with a pair of alkaline AAs, but do yourself a favor and get some rechargeable NiMH batteries and a recharger.
