Nikon Coolpix A Review
4.5 Star Review Imaging Resource - Jul 1, 2013

Nikon's Coolpix compact camera line finally has its first large-sensor model! The Nikon Coolpix A is the company's first entry into the burgeoning large-sensor, fixed prime lens market, and the category's first offering from a mainstream brand. It's also among the smallest, lightest and most affordable, impressive when you consider that it packs in an APS-C image sensor and an f/2.8 wide-angle lens. The fixed prime lens makes it something of a niche model, but if you can get past that, the Coolpix A is the kind of camera which will help you grow as a photographer. Read our review for all the details.

Nikon Coolpix A Review
4 Star Review photographyblog.com - Mar 22, 2013

The Nikon Coolpix A is a new pocket camera for professionals. The Nikon A features the same 16 megapixel APS-C sensor as the D7000 DSLR, a 28mm f/2.8 lens, full manual controls, 1080p HD video recording, a high-resolution 3-inch LCD screen and 4fps burst shooting. Read our in-depth Nikon Coolpix A review to find out if this justifies the £999.99 / $1099.95 price-tag...

Nikon Coolpix A (Black)
3.5 Star Review cnet.com - Apr 11, 2013

THE GOOD: The Nikon Coolpix A produces the excellent photos youd expect from a large sensor, and the camera is well built with a streamlined, if somewhat point-and-shoot-like, design. THE BAD: For the price, it needs to deliver a little more, such as a viewfinder; aspects of its performance could be better. THE BOTTOM LINE: If youre very picky about photo quality and prefer autofocus to manual -- but dont care about a viewfinder -- the Nikon Coolpix A is probably worth the money. Otherwise, wait for the price to drop.

Time to get rid of my D700 lenses.
5 Star Review By Rich Wheeler on Adorama - Aug 9, 2013

I miss so many photos when without my D700. I can carry my Nikon Coolpix A for group and landscape photos all of the time. Anything that moves still has to be photographed with a D7000. The D700 body will be retained for use with older and better constructed lenses. You can save on filters and lenses by using the Nikon Coolpix A. See Ken Rockwell's site for more advice on the Nikon cameras and lenses.

As a passionate amateur photographer whose primary camera is a DX3 this is the finest street camera to supplement my equipment. Features outstanding, picture quality great. Pricey but worth it.

Great build & crisp images and compact
5 Star Review By Foocando on Adorama - May 14, 2013

Three things that best with this camera: * AF in low light (indoors and darker) is considerably faster and more accurate, overall AF speed consistent regardless of brightness – easier to anticipate shot timing *Better AWB and colour accuracy, especially
