Love this camera!

Strengths: Beautiful pictures, lots of great features, easy to use, compact.

Weakness: None!

This is the perfect camera. I bought it for myself for Christmas and absolutely love it. I already had the Canon Digital Rebel xti, but I also wanted a small camera to fit in my purse that would take excellent pictures on the go. I am an avid photographer, digital scrapbooker and blogger. This camera is perfect in every way. Not one thing I would change. Even though I meant for this to be used...

Good all-rounder point & shoot compact camera

Strengths: Compact size, good image quality, long battery life, manual shutter and aperture controls

Weakness: Controls still not fully manual (no Av or Tv), video res on the low side, high price

Overall, this is a good point & shoot camera with good image quality, long battery life and the first ELPH/IXUS with some form of manual control, although a little pricy. It has a new DIGIC4 processor which is supposed to provide faster processing and better image quality. However 15 mpix is a little overkill, considering the noise level on such a compact CCD. Photos produced by this camera are...

Top of the line camera worth every penny!

Strengths: Very sharp pics. According to tests, less noise that the Canon 9 Megapixel models. New Processor. Has manual controls.

Weakness: Video is only 640x480. Small 32MB memory card. A bit expensive.

Well I bit the bullet and paid up, and I am pleased I did! The camera (I got the all-black model) is very sharp-looking and takes excellent pictures and video. It focuses fast and red-eye is almost non-existent. I stitched a panorama with Photoshop and it came out well too. I am using only the 9MP setting though.

One Excellent Point & Shoot!

Strengths: Excellent image quality, Battery life, Image Stabilizer, Beautiful and hefty metal body, Many manual modes for a subcompact, DIGIC 4 processor, Made in Japan

Weakness: Very slight purple fringing, No wide angle lens

After using a cheaply-built Samsung S630 for the past year, I decided it was ready to step up to a quality camera that I could hold onto for a long time. I was set on purchasing an SD950(this camera's predecessor) until I found this on sale at Dell. Fortunately, the extra pixels do not translate to more noise, presumably due to the new DIGIC 4. Images are always crisp and very detailed, even when...

IXY 3000

Strengths: Image Quality Build Features Ease of use

Weakness: None found as yet!

I have tested and compared the IXY 2000 closely to other compacts on the market and all in all have found it to be superior in just about every aspect
