Sharper Closeup than Lumix DMC-ZS9
4 Star Review   By RonPaintsToo on Adorama - Nov 12, 2013

After considerable closeup indoor shooting, I was surprised to find the Elph 330HS to be substantially sharper and brighter than the Lumix DMC-ZS9(a larger digi-cam).The auto battery save feature with screen suspension takes some time to appreciate. It feels somewhat flimsy compared to my old Lumix DMC-FX35.However,the optics and firmware seem first rate for such a tiny digi-cam. Let's see how it holds up with the extreme zoom.

Great Pictures From a Small Camera
5 Star Review   By DPP on Adorama - Aug 22, 2013

The ELPH 330 takes great still photos and videos. It's incredible how good the pictures are with virtually no effort! Canon makes a number of PowerShot cameras. Compared to many of the other PowerShot cameras, the ELPH 330 has more features and uses newer technology. The ELPH 330 has a 10X optical zoom and uses the DIGIC 5 image processor (used in some of Canon's DSLRs). Depending on which features you're interested in, for the money, the ELPH 330 is a good choice. The only drawback for me is the size. (This is my wife's camera; I use a DLSR.) This camera is about the size of a cell phone and if you have big hands, it is very small.

It takes great pictures
5 Star Review   By CAMPJEEP on Adorama - Aug 12, 2013

Very good image quality, good auto white balance. The iso between 80 and 800 is very good for such a small sensor. The 330 has a nice sharp lens even at the telephoto end of the zoom. This would be a great camera to take to Disney... I just really like the colors in the pictures that the canon cameras produce, again that's just me thinking out loud. I set the disp overlay to grid lines to help take a straighter picture, You may use it for the 1/3 rule also. A nice backup battery is a (power2000) for canon NB-4L (900mAh)$19.00 or less. I have used them for years. I think your new battery will do a little better after the first couple of charges. Update 7/29/2013 We went to the ohio state fair today 988 pictures taken, 4 short movies and we still have battery left. 10 of the pictures used the flash. The movies turned out beautiful and I noticed fast good focus and great Image Stabilization... I used continuous shooting in program mode most of the time. The camera handeld fast action ride pictures very well without blur. I do not use the wi-fi and (I do not use the new hybrid auto that utilizes a combination of Smart AUTO and Intelligent IS to create a beautiful and steady 720p HD video clip in Movie Digest mode every time you shoot a still image)To much to think about, ha ha. I do use smart auto and it works great. I use program mode most of the time, thats just me tho... I am no expert and I am trying to be honest here and help out if I can, these are just my thoughts, look at some of the pictures that I and others have (posted on this site) if that would be helpful and check out the other reviews on the canon 330 or (Canon IXUS 255 HS over seas). A lot of the review sites blow there pictures way up and look for defects, your likely to only make 5x7 or 8x10s and not see what they see. If your new to this digital camera stuff remember to low level format the SD card first thing. ( Save your pictures first, doing this will also erase all your pictures). Cons : No camera is perfect. This a nicer, softer camera strap > Nikon 25770 AN-CP19 Black Strap This is the case I use the most.>Case Logic QPB-201 EVA Molded Compact Camera Case (Black) I mostly take pictures of bear in the Smokey Mountians (CADES COVE) and love chasing the grand kids around taking their pictures.

A great small, low light camera.
5 Star Review   By BobH on Adorama - Aug 8, 2013

I run daily before dawn, and carry the Elph 330 (in a small Case Logic case) in one hand. It is light and compact. The 24 mm equivalent wide angle and 10 X optical zoom are perfect for my needs. The CMOS sensor allows for very good images in low light conditions.

After damaging my Canon 110HS, I picked up this 330HS from Adorama to replace it. Controls are similar so adapting to the 330 was easy. Overall extremely happy with it!

Excellent camera
5 Star Review   By PhotoGuy on Adorama - Jul 2, 2013

I bought this camera because it was one of the few small digitals that had a very short shutter lag (the time between locking into focus and taking the picture). So far so good --- it's quick, well built, and takes great photos. I also like the 10x zoom.
