Doesn

Strengths: none

Weakness: all

I bought it three years ago and I got the same problem three times. Canon doesn't want to accept it's its fault and is asking me for 200€ to repair it.

Overall great camera

Strengths: Swivel/flip LCD, manual controls, accepts add-on lenses, optical viewfinder, produces nice pictures, accepts AA batteries and CompactFlash, PictBridge support

Weakness: Relatively small screen, flash takes a while to recharge at times, prominent ISO noise above 200, tends to have blown-out highlights and fringing

Having previously owned a Powershot A70 and had a good experience with it, I expected as much from the A95. It delivered. I particularly like the ability to select manual exposure, white balance, focus, etc., which you don't see on too many cameras. I have only a few concerns. Great camera

Strengths: Good pictures, Easy to use, Lot of options

Weakness: a bit bulky, needs four battery.

This is a great camera. Picture quality is very good. It uses 4 AA batteries for power, so it is a bit heavy. The upside to this is that it has very good battery life.

I would have liked if greater optical zoom is available in this model. Overall, this is one of the best point-and-shoot digital cameras you can buy. I am very satisfied with this purchase.

Sdshortcake from OH

Strengths: Very crisp clear pictures.

Weakness: Slow shutter speed, still has red eyes after set on "no red eye" setting, Heaving because of the 4 AA batteries, night mode is blurry when to much light is going on.

Over all the A95 is a great camer. Still a few things I need to learn about the camera.

If it was smaller and not as heavy would be more conveniant to take while on walks or someplace you don't want to take a bag in.

Skeptical at First

Strengths: Loads of features, able to use regular AA batteries if need be, though this could get expensive.

Weakness: LCD screen washes out in the sun and makes it hard to see image.

I purchased this camera in Dec 04' as my first digital camera. I was a bit hesitant and sceptical of digital being a regular user of the traditional SLR camera and film. Took it on a trip to Germany in Dec and upon my return had the pics printed. I was very impressed with the quality of the pics it takes. As a first time buyer of a digital camera I would recommend the A95 to peopel to buy. It...
