You Get What You Pay For

Strengths: This camera out of the box has worked and have not had any problems. I take each day of the week between 175 to 225 photos of a job site under construction, photos are of buildings and details.

Weakness: Not that I have found

This has been a good choice and workes in sun, shade, interiors. Details pop out and it is so easy to move from one mode to another. Took on vacation with us and never used my SLR this camers has impressed all my frends and at work the results from it are stunning.

Canon SD990 is one of the top of the line camera

Strengths: Excellent image quality,Very sharp pics. According to tests, less noise that the Canon 8 Megapixel models. New Processor. Has manual controls.

Weakness: Video is only 640x480.

Well I purchased it after reviewing and compare it with SD950 which I gave it to my son, and I am pleased I did! The camera (I selected the silver model) is very sharp-looking and takes excellent pictures and video. It focuses sharp and red-eye is almost non-existent. I used the photos with Photoshop and it came well also. The previous one SD950 is also very good,I am using Powershot G2 and SLR...

Strengths: Pictures are clear, image stabilization works well. Happy with colors.

Weakness: Movies, Movies, Movies

Unfortunately, Canon decided to switch to Quicktime for the format which does not seem to play well on PCs(even high end ones), though they do play fine on Macs. The...
