Awesome camera! Great price and shipping

Great camera! There are a lot of neat features on this camera, like the smile recognition and the wink recognition. Allows for manual operation too! I just wish the hand cord had a fastener on it so it could stay snug on my wrist. My other point and shoot

Good, execpt for small JPEG file

Strengths: Small. Adjustable. Good images.

Weakness: JPEG files produced are too small. HAVE to go through RAW to get detailed files.

Nice feel. Small. Good images. The main problems are 1) the JPEG files are small. There is no option to save as a detailed or "fine" JPEG. To get a high quality pic, you have to go through RAW. 2) to do any adjustments to the exposure, you have to go to "P". I expected that there would be a way to override automatic exposure decisions when you are in automatic, but for the S95 auto is really 100%...

Great Little Point and Shoot

Strengths: Small Size, Hundreds of Settings and Options, Great Dynamic Range, Easy to Use, Ability to customize settings and modes, Ability to capture RAW images

Weakness: Somewhat difficult to keep track of all the different options, expensive

So far the images taken with this little gem are great. Very fast lens for such a small camera. The customizable Ring is a great feature, as is the ability to take 720P video.

Bought this to avoid having to lug around the Canon 20D everywhere. Pictures are nearly as sharp and clear.

S95 - small versatile camera

Strengths: Small, light and easy to use; with fast lens, very sensitive in low light, flexible with many programmable options, RAW, very good picture quality

Weakness: Expensive

I have it for two weeks. So far I am very happy with it. Its picture quality is excellent for point and shoot camera. It is currently the best point and shoot camera for low light pictures with ISO 12,800. Its picture quality at ISO 12,800 is poor, at 6,400 is fair, and at 3200 is good which is unprecedented for such small camera. It has an HDR option extending the picture dynamic range to show...

DCRP Review: Canon PowerShot S95

The PowerShot S95 is a nice (but not major) upgrade to the S90 that adds some useful new features. The basics haven't changed; the S95 still has a 10 Megapixel, high sensitivity CCD, fast 3.8X optical zoom lens, and customizable controls of its predecessor. The new features include an improved image stabilization system, useful HDR and shadow/highlight correction options, and a 720p movie...
