Canon EOS Rebel T5i Review
4.5 Star Review photographyblog.com - Jun 18, 2013

The Canon EOS 700D (called the Canon EOS Rebel T5i in North America) is a new DSLR camera that boasts 18 megapixels, full 1080p high-definition videos with continuous auto-focusing, and a touch-screen interface. Other key features of the 700D / T5i include burst shooting at 5fps, a vari-angle 3-inch LCD screen with 1,040k dot resolution, ISO range of 100-25,600, 14-bit image processing and Canon's Digic 5 processor. Is the Canon EOS 700D / T5i the best mid-range digital SLR camera on the market? Read our expert review to find out...

Canon EOS Rebel T5i (with 18-135mm STM lens)
3.5 Star Review cnet.com - May 24, 2013

THE GOOD: The Canon EOS Rebel T5i retains the great articulated touch-screen implementation thats optimized for video, and delivers the same excellent photo quality and solid video as its predecessor. Plus the performance is slightly improved. THE BAD: The phase-detection autofocus system is feeling its age and competitors have caught up with the Live View performance. The tiny autofocus points in the viewfinder also remain annoying to use, and the feature set remains lackluster. THE BOTTOM LINE: While the Canon EOS Rebel T5i is -- almost literally -- the same solid camera as its predecessor, its starting to lag frustratingly behind the competition in some ways.

Worth the upgrade to me...
5 Star Review By timd on Adorama - Aug 13, 2013 ( See more reviews from Adorama )

Just used this for a 50th wedding anniversary (family event, not pro). I upgraded from a T1i w/ 18-55 & 55-250 kit. Focus time for this T5i combo, improved focus quality, and ease of access into the settings menus using the touch screen are all significant improvements from the T1i, while the rest of things stayed familiar. Excellent image quality for my purposes, and I never had to switch lenses for this event.

Second time around a charm
4 Star Review By Charlie on Adorama - Jul 2, 2013 ( See more reviews from Adorama )

I reviewed this before when the first one I received was defective-Adorama had another one in my hands very quickly, great service on the return and replacement. Like most DSLRs, it has more settings/controls/built-in auto stuff than anyone would ever use

Best Rebel Yet!!
5 Star Review By Never-Ending Mom on Adorama - May 21, 2013 ( See more reviews from Adorama )

This is by far the best Canon EOS Rebel made yet! I upgraded from the T3i and this is so much faster and the images are greatly improved in every aspect. I don't have to do half as much editing for color and tone as I did with the T3i. Love this camera!!!

To Buy or Not to Buy!
4 Star Review By Pirate on Adorama - May 21, 2013 ( See more reviews from Adorama )

I bought the T5i because I didn't have a dslr and could not get the bundle I wanted with a T4i. The last camera I used was film so I thought I would get with the program and get back into taking photos.
