Canon Rebel T3i | w/ EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS
3.5 Star Review  productwiki.com - Mar 8, 2011

The Canon Rebel T3i (600D) is an entry-level digital SLR released in early 2011 as a successor to the T2i. Available with an optional EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II zoom lens, the Rebel T3i DSLR upgrades from its predecessor by incorporating a flip-out 3” Vari-Angle Clear View LCD display designed for taking low-angle and overhead shots. Like its predecessor, the Canon T3i DSLR is optimized to capture full high-definition 1080p video at 24fps, 25p, or 30p. Also featured is the option to shoot in more than one aspect ratio, a 6400 ISO expandable to 12800, and a 9-point AF system with an F/2.8 cross-type center point with a 63-zone Dual-layer metering system. The latter two allow users wit a lens over F/2.8 or faster to better track a subject via the continuous auto-focus tracking mode. Features 18MP CMOS Sensor EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 II Zoom Lens (Optional) DIGIC 4 Imaging Processor 9-Point ... PROS: (1) " Swivel Vari-Angle Display - 1.04M dot resolution (2) DIGIC 4 Imaging Processor (3) high resolution 18MP sensor - similar to the one on the previous generation T2i with potential improvements from the development of the 60D and 7D? (4) slightly remodeled body - improved design and materials over the T2i (5) records video in 1080p/30, 1080p/24, 720p/60 high definition - best in class video quality, resolution and speed ... CONS: (1) same 9-point AF, ISO range and 63-zone metering as found on the T2i (2) same 3.7FPS continuous shooting speed as the T2i (3) basically just a T2i with a firmware update (4) only priced $100 less than the 60D

Canon EOS T3i (600D) Review
4 Star Review  photo.net - Apr 2, 2011

The T3i is the logical development of Canon’s current DSLR philosophy which differentiates cameras by features rather than by image quality. In the current lineup the T2i, T3i, 60D and 7D all use the same sensor and they all have essentially identical image quality. The T3i is the top-of-the-line entry level camera. It actually has better video capability than any of the other cameras since it incorporates the tilt and swivel LCD of the 60D and adds full manual control over audio levels.

Great camera so far!
4 Star Review   By psygeek04 on Adorama - Aug 30, 2013

I am a budding hobby photographer, and I wanted a great camera that I could learn the ins and outs and still get great pics in the meantime. I did a LOT of research, read reviews, and asked friends with DSLRs their opinions. I got nothing but great comments about this camera, and almost every review I read was great. I was deciding between the Nikon D5100 and the T3i. My decision came down to how they felt in my hands and the ease of use. The ONLY thing I don't like about this camera is the AF Assist feature. In low-light situations, the flash will strobe and make a terrible zapping sound until it focuses and the picture takes. It scared me to death the first time it happened! I thought for sure my flash or camera had fried itself. Apparently, this sound is normal for the camera, but it is very troublesome and distracting to me. That is why I gave the camera 4 stars instead of 5. Other than that one little thing, I have nothing negative to say about the camera! The images are beautiful! :)

Good camera for starting digital
5 Star Review   By Skip on Adorama - Aug 17, 2013

Just getting into the digital world after many years using a Minolta 101. This seemed like a good camera to start with. Light, fast and many features (sometimes confusing for an old manual camera user). So far I realy like the camera and it should be enough for several years.

I recommend this awesome camera
5 Star Review   By Candid Camera Girl on Adorama - Aug 13, 2013

I have owned a Canon Rebel before and the pictures taken were always great. I held on to it even when it got much older and until by accident I dropped it. I knew it was time to buy another camera. I thought of buying a Nikon this time. But, why? Everything I got from my old Rebel camera was exactly what I wanted, quality shots. I am excited to try the Rebel T3i and I love the features. This new camera was recommended to me by a professional photographer.

Love it!
5 Star Review   By member SkaterKat - Feb 24, 2012

Strengths: Picture quality, ease of use

Weakness: Macro

I've been using this camera for about 6 months now, and I still believe I made the right choice. I've used the camera mostly for macro shots of flowers and some action photos of my friends skating. This is an excellent introduction to DSRL. I expected more in terms of the maco function, but I'd need a dedicated macro lens to achieve the results I'm after. All in all, this is a solid camera for almost any situation.

Great Camera for Amateur 2 Professional
5 Star Review   By Personal Camera on Adorama - Feb 12, 2012

My Earlier point and shoot camera did not able to capture my toddler fast moving sequences. Had tough time capturing his moments. So i decided to go for SLR. Realized T3I has lot more features and can stay for few years to learn and master my photography.

Large Sensor size for razor sharp image
4 Star Review   By bill the bender on Adorama - Jan 9, 2012

I use this camera to shoot Glamour type photos. I want razor sharp images with natural skin tone. If I am shooting at 18MP or Raw, I want to be able to shoot rapidly, with little Lag. So far this camera seems to do that.
