DCRP Review: Canon EOS Rebel T3i
4 Star Review  DCResource - Apr 26, 2011

The Canon EOS Rebel T3i is a very capable entry-level digital SLR. In most respects, it's not a huge leap over its predecessor, though the rotating LCD is definitely a great addition. The camera offers very good photo quality (especially if you attach some quality glass), generally snappy performance, a host of features for beginners and enthusiasts alike, and Full HD video recording. Downsides include soft images with the two available kit lenses, occasional highlight clipping and redeye, slow contrast detect AF in live view, and below average continuous shooting and battery life numbers.

Canon Rebel T3i Review
5 Star Review  Imaging Resource - Aug 11, 2011

Truly easy to recommend, the versatile Canon T3i sets the standard at the top of the consumer digital SLR market. Especially if you're looking for a reasonably affordable SLR that lets you shoot from multiple angles, the Rebel T3i should be at or near the top of your list. With an 18-megapixel sensor, a high-res articulating LCD, an improved grip, and Full HD video recording, the Canon T3i has what it takes to get great shots in most conditions. Its bundled 18-55mm kit lens is improved over its predecessor, and the alternate 18-135mm kit lens is also good quality, covering a near-ideal range for most situations. Image quality is good enough for 20x30-inch prints from ISO 100 to 3,200, and ISO 12,800 shots make a good 8x10. It's quite a camera, to be sure. Read our full review for more on the Canon T3i!

Canon EOS Rebel T3i (Body Only)
3.5 Star Review  cnet.com - Mar 22, 2011

THE GOOD: The Canon EOS Rebel T3i delivers excellent video capabilities and image and video quality. THE BAD: If you shoot both still and video, the T3is controls can be frustrating to operate, and its not terribly fast for burst shooting sports, kids, or pets. THE BOTTOM LINE: For the money, the Canon EOS Rebel T3i is a great choice for dSLR videographers--though the cheaper T2i can still suffice if you dont need the articulated LCD--and its a solid choice for creative still shooters. But though the image quality and general shooting performance are top-notch, if youre upgrading to capture sports, kids or pets, the T3i may not be able to keep up.

Canon Rebel T3i | Body Only
3.5 Star Review  productwiki.com - Mar 8, 2011

The Canon Rebel T3i (600D) is an entry-level digital SLR released in early 2011 as a successor to the T2i. Available with an optional EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II zoom lens, the Rebel T3i DSLR upgrades from its predecessor by incorporating a flip-out 3” Vari-Angle Clear View LCD display designed for taking low-angle and overhead shots. Like its predecessor, the Canon T3i DSLR is optimized to capture full high-definition 1080p video at 24fps, 25p, or 30p. Also featured is the option to shoot in more than one aspect ratio, a 6400 ISO expandable to 12800, and a 9-point AF system with an F/2.8 cross-type center point with a 63-zone Dual-layer metering system. The latter two allow users wit a lens over F/2.8 or faster to better track a subject via the continuous auto-focus tracking mode. Features 18MP CMOS Sensor EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 II Zoom Lens (Optional) DIGIC 4 Imaging Processor 9-Point ... PROS: (1) " Swivel Vari-Angle Display - 1.04M dot resolution (2) DIGIC 4 Imaging Processor (3) high resolution 18MP sensor - similar to the one on the previous generation T2i with potential improvements from the development of the 60D and 7D? (4) slightly remodeled body - improved design and materials over the T2i (5) records video in 1080p/30, 1080p/24, 720p/60 high definition - best in class video quality, resolution and speed ... CONS: (1) same 9-point AF, ISO range and 63-zone metering as found on the T2i (2) same 3.7FPS continuous shooting speed as the T2i (3) basically just a T2i with a firmware update (4) only priced $100 less than the 60D

Canon EOS T3i (600D) Review
4 Star Review  photo.net - Apr 2, 2011

The T3i is the logical development of Canon’s current DSLR philosophy which differentiates cameras by features rather than by image quality. In the current lineup the T2i, T3i, 60D and 7D all use the same sensor and they all have essentially identical image quality. The T3i is the top-of-the-line entry level camera. It actually has better video capability than any of the other cameras since it incorporates the tilt and swivel LCD of the 60D and adds full manual control over audio levels.

I have moved from EOS Rebel 35 mm film to the Xti to the Xsi and now the T3i. Canon got it right going back 25 years. Building the camera around the lens makes it so easy to upgrade.

Every thing I thought it would be.
5 Star Review   By Hugh on Adorama - Oct 12, 2011

I use the camera mostly during travel throughout the country. It is easy to use and provides great photos. It is particularly amenable to tour bus travel when you do not have time to do much setup.

Bang for your buck........
4 Star Review   By Samrat Thukral on Adorama - Oct 9, 2011

Last year I bought Canon Rebel T2i and I was very happy but always longed for the tilty swively screen. My son is just 3 months old and soon he will start crawling and that will be the time when this feature is going to come super handy. I sold off my 9 m

Nice bargain HDSLR
5 Star Review   By Dano on Adorama - Sep 26, 2011

Got this as back-up for 7Ds used for digital cinema. Nice form-factor, functionality. Love the lossless digital zoom--it effectively doubles your set of glass. Easy camera to pick up if you are used to Canons. Forget the kit glass, I'm using the f/2.8 Tam

Great light weight camera
4 Star Review   By Pophens on Adorama - Sep 4, 2011

I had to ditch my 5d mk II because of my bad back. I looked at the GH2 Lumix for the weight advantage. I ended up coming back to Canon because I'm familiar with it. It seems as light and I can carry it with a wrist strap instead of the shoulder/neck strap

A Perfect Camera for Any Skill Level
5 Star Review   By The Laziest Photographer on Adorama - Sep 4, 2011

This is my first DSLR, and when I got it I had virtually no photography experience. The T3i is VERY user-friendly, however, so my inexperience did not prove problematic, and the camera has very intelligent auto settings for when I'm not quite sure what ad

Wonderful camera for serious amateurs
5 Star Review   By coagulator on Adorama - Sep 4, 2011

I bought this camera in July 2011 and, within a week, I had taken about 1500 photos at a family reunion and on a trip to Colorado. In the process, it was dropped, scraped, banged up and generally treated roughly. It never failed me. At least 95% of my pic

Canon EOS Rebel T3i (Body only)
5 Star Review   Crutchfield.com

Crutchfield has collected 2 user reviews for this product with an average rating of 5.0 out of 5 stars. The most recent reviewer said, "Used a 35mm film SLR for many years, Topcon Super D. When I wasn't taking many photos anymore I sold it and bought a digital point-and-shoot. I missed the ability to alter depth of field, pushing the ISO settings and the quality of images I got from my Topcon's f1.2 55mm lens. After several point-and-shoot cameras I decided it was time to get an SLR again. I did a lot of online research, reading reviews on cameras in a price range that I could afford. The EOS T3i rated as one of the best new offerings. After deciding to buy, I shopped prices and found little difference in final cost, so I went with Crutchfield, having purchased electronics from them in the past and being very impressed with their care of the customer. The camera and subsequent lenses arrived in time for use on a new grandchild and family celebration. The resulting photos were terrific and I felt like I was really taking quality pictures again. As a painter, I rely on detailed images with excellent color to use for my work. The first series of shots I took this week for some new paintings were exactly what I needed. I am once again pleased with the great service and price from Crutchfield and would give the EOS T3i my highest recomendation to serious and hobby photographers."

Canon EOS Rebel T3i
5 Star Review   By member JanSlaback - Apr 3, 2011

Strengths: Easy to learn; brilliant pictures for an affordable price!

Weakness: Cannot think of one single weakness!

I bought my very first DSLR, the Canon EOS Rebel T3i a little less than a month ago and I absolutely adore it! It is easy to use. I took it home and did everything myself! I love it! Now I just need for the rain to go away so that I can go out and take more pictures! I love my Canon Rebel T3i!!
