Canon EOS 6D Review
4.5 Star Review  Imaging Resource - May 3, 2013

Despite a few quibbles, the 20.2-megapixel Canon 6D lives up to its promise of housing a glorious, full-frame sensor inside a smaller, lighter and more affordable DSLR camera body designed for prosumers, enthusiasts and novices alike. Canon's done a great job of not dumbing down or cheapening the 6D to fit its "sweet spot" pricing, and the EOS 6D is a responsive shooter that boasts image and video quality rivaling the stepup 5D Mark III. However, Canon has had to nip and tuck a few features to meet the 6D's more affordable pricing and slighter build, although it boasts a couple wrinkles -- built-in WiFI and GPS -- that none of its direct competitors offer. 4.5 Star Review  photographyblog.com - Jan 7, 2013

The Canon EOS 6D is a new full-frame DSLR with a much more affordable price-tag than the 5D Mark III and a few tricks up its sleeve that its bigger brother doesn't offer. At over £1000 / $1000 cheaper than the 5D Mark II, have Canon cut too many corners for the 6D to be a real contender? Read our in-depth Canon EOS 6D review to find out...

Canon EOS 6D (with 24-105mm lens)
3.5 Star Review  cnet.com - Feb 4, 2013

THE GOOD: The <b>Canon EOS 6D</b> delivers the photo and video quality you expect from a full-frame sensor, in a well-designed and relatively lightweight body. THE BAD: While the camera has nice extra features, like Wi-Fi and GPS support, its missing some basics for the price like on-camera flash, multiple card slots, and a 100 percent-coverage viewfinder. THE BOTTOM LINE: The photo quality you get from the EOS 6D makes it well worth the upgrade over a consumer APS-C model, but between this and comparable or higher-end models its a less obvious choice.

Very nice
5 Star Review   By Jacko on Adorama - Oct 22, 2013    ( See more reviews from Adorama )

I got the 6D as a pack up for my 5Diii and I am very happy with it, I doesn't do every thing the 5Diii will, but it is full frame and a bit lighter. And I love the 24-105 lens.

Superb cam
5 Star Review   By noguying on Adorama - Sep 16, 2013    ( See more reviews from Adorama )

This camera is super superb. Fast, clear, anything but awesome. Comparing to 5D Mark III... yes, it does not have 56 focus point but it has enough focus points. yes it does not super high shutter (even Pro rarely use that high). yes it does not have 2nd media storage, but you could always carry 2 cheap SDHC card. For minor missing features but huge cost saving compare to 5D Mark III. That lens is $500 with kit vs $700 alone. Can't beat.

It is so much better experience
5 Star Review   By Shelley on Adorama - Sep 10, 2013    ( See more reviews from Adorama )

I had all kinds of cameras before, but since I owned iPhone a few years ago, I just stopped using all my "regular" cameras. Recently I decided to give this full-frame "bulky" camera a try. It is just much better experience than anything I have had before. I even put my old but perfect FD lenses in use (after purchasing a FD to EF adapter). The low light performance (up to ISO 12800) is just amazing. The shooting speed is adequate for most of situations. Writing into the memory card may just slow down things a little.

1,000 shots so far -- VERY pleased
5 Star Review   By Doc Marc on Adorama - Sep 10, 2013    ( See more reviews from Adorama )

Replaced a 7D with this camera. Used for commercial, industrial photos destined to catalogs, brochures, etc. Full Auto, walking through a factory with a mix of flourescent, outside light and incandescent - without a flash - this camera almost magically adjusts for the light conditions and produces an almost real-life exposure time after time. That feature alone saves us hours and hours of photo manipulation to adjust for odd lighting caste. Lens is VERY sharp - but takes a surprising moment to find it's focus when at 105mm...not bad, but slower than the 7D under the same circumstances. Not sure yet that I like the idea that there is not a built-in flash...maybe haven't adjusted yet to letting ISO take over...time will tell... FWIW - Adorama was great about handling a trade-in 60D and making this purchase easy.

Great full frame starter
5 Star Review   By Marlon Photos on Adorama - Aug 20, 2013    ( See more reviews from Adorama )

I purchased this camera as my first full frame SLR. I am very pleased with how it function. It has taken some getting use to the new button arrangements... not sure why the drastic rearrangements is all about. The range of the ISO with this full frame is worth the price of the up grade from the APS sensor. With all the features, the shutter is a lot softer and quieter making the photographer less notice. I found that the lens match-up was a great idea for a body and lens kit. It too has worked out very well... sharp with a very smooth zoom wide to tele.

Great All-Around Camera for the Price
5 Star Review   By CT on Adorama - Jul 25, 2013    ( See more reviews from Adorama )

I've used almost all of Canon DSLRs (minus the Rebel Series). And I can tell you that this one probably has the best bang-for-the-buck. With the price coming down and the sensor that is among the best, if not the best, by Canon at the moment, it's a no brainer. Sure, it's no 5D Mark III (which I'm using too). But its smaller size and good enough AF (much better than that of 5D Mark II) gives me good enough reason to grab it many times, instead of the 5D Mark III. The only two things that I don't like about it are that it doesn't have a joystick and not 100% viewfinder coerage. It's not too bad, I can still live with them, especially at this price point.

Initial camera quality lacking
4 Star Review   By Mike on Adorama - Jul 24, 2013    ( See more reviews from Adorama )

The first camera delivered failed in about four days. There was a viewfinder lens in the camera body that came loose during a lens change. I had to return the camera and in the process I lost the extra battery that I had received with the initial purchase because I inadvertently packed it with the return and Adorama wouldn't send me a replacement. I now have the replacement camera and am happy with the product features, I hope that it stands up as well as the previous Canon EOS 40D that I've been using for the past 3 1/2 years, time will tell.

5 Star Review   By Albert Polanco on Adorama - Jul 23, 2013    ( See more reviews from Adorama )

I have been using Canon Rebel for many years, including xsi, xti, t3i, want it to upgrade to a full sensor camera and got me the 6D... Must tell you the difference in image quality is huge, this camera performs amazingly under low light, i'm able to use a much higher ISO and still get good quality images, I do miss the pop up flash sometimes (this camera does not have one), but the other features compensate... I also love the wifi connection, can quickly download images to my iphone and share with family and friends, without have to wait to import to lightroom and creating JPEG... I'm just sad I did not upgrade to this camera before, if you are using a cropped sensor camera and upgrade to this one, I bet you wont regret.

Full frame sensors are the way to go
5 Star Review   By David the Wildlife Photographer on Adorama - May 14, 2013    ( See more reviews from Adorama )

I have only now begun to realize this Camera's full potential. I have pin-sharp images of Least Terns in flight shot at ISO 800. 11x14 prints are outstanding. I have not yet used the HDR capabilities but I expect the results will be excellent. This camera

So many people wish they had this camera, even the people who shoot for local papers, websites, etc.... The only thing we can't figure out is how to fix the skipping problem on the video mode...it only happens sometimes We didn't buy a flash and use this

Unbeliveable camera
5 Star Review   By EVPhotography on Adorama - Apr 23, 2013    ( See more reviews from Adorama )

Incredible camera, high ISO noise performance is amazing. Shot images at ISO 10,000 and look as good as ISO 3200 on older model cameras. WI FI is neat tool with Canon EOS Remote app for your phone. GPS is neat feature for landscape work. Low light auto fo

Almost Perfect
5 Star Review   By Les on Adorama - Apr 10, 2013    ( See more reviews from Adorama )

I do mostly available light photography. This camera is outstanding for that. Great image quality and low noise, even at very high ISOs. The camera is small, light, quiet, fast, and full featured for a full-frame SLR. Wished it had pop-up flash like my

Excellent alternative to the 5dmkiii
4 Star Review   By roy2k on Adorama - Apr 2, 2013    ( See more reviews from Adorama )

As a 5dmkii owner I love this camera! It is a huge upgrade to the 5dmkii. I do not own the 5dmkiii but have used it many times. I would much rather have the 6d and a nice lens instead of a 5dmkiii alone. Since I shoot primarily video and timelapse photogr

Great upgrade for semi-professional use
4 Star Review   By Dave G on Adorama - Mar 26, 2013    ( See more reviews from Adorama )

This is the perfect camera for someone who has already experimented with crop-sensor cameras and wants to take the next step to a full-frame machine. The extra dynamic range and shallower depth of field are wonderful to have, as is the heftier & more rugg

Blown away by this camera's auto quality
5 Star Review   By Father of twins on Adorama - Mar 19, 2013    ( See more reviews from Adorama )

I upgraded from the Rebel XSI which is a cropped sensor. I have barely even switched this new 6d off of auto mode because it is taking such great pictures. The quality and low light performance is incredible. It takes pictures that look good where it is t

Exceeded My Expectations
4 Star Review   By Edudflog on Adorama - Mar 12, 2013    ( See more reviews from Adorama )

I bought the 6D to transition to full frame photography. I mostly shoot landscapes, products and people, and for these, the 6D doesn't disappoint - especially in low light situations. The included kit lens is rock solid, with good autofocus (although at t

Great Entry-Level FF DSLR
4 Star Review   By B. Patel on Adorama - Feb 5, 2013    ( See more reviews from Adorama )

I'm coming from a Canon T2i and this is a great upgrade for me. I wanted to experience the Full-Frame DSLR Family, but didn't want to break the bank with the 5D Mark III. There are some drawback's to the 6D when compared to the 5DMIII, but for my use it's

A great buy for all types of users
5 Star Review   By Craig on Adorama - Jan 30, 2013    ( See more reviews from Adorama )

Being a film student, this camera out performs the cameras the school provides for students with less hassle. Along with taking incredible pictures, the video quality is just as good. The only downside to this camera is its lack of a headphone jack.

Love the 6D...Except...
4 Star Review   By gfield01876 on Adorama - Dec 10, 2012    ( See more reviews from Adorama )

The 6D is a terrific piece of technology. Lots of nice features and great image quality. I was very shocked to find the the 6D is currently NOT SUPPORTED BY ADOBE! Even the beta test version of Camera RAW 7.3 doesn't support the 6D yet! So, until this is
