QuickClix 3185 digital Camera
3 Star Review   By member keith3665 - Aug 12, 2006

Strengths: Inexpensive, works fine, did the job I bought it for.

Weakness: Eats batteries in flash mode and you have to hold still for a couple of seconds, the display is too small.

I bought it to make a passport photo. After, I wanted to do some candid shots of people I know. In doors, the camera is too temperamental. Either you wait for the flash, or you move during the flash sequence, or your too close or too far away or something else happens. It's a good entry level camera for out door pictures, but too many things can go wrong with in door pictures. If I had it to do over I would buy a better camera with a bigger display.

Cheap, but the battery cost will get you
1 Star Review   By member xenopus1 - Apr 30, 2006

Weakness: Eats up the battery even when the camera is not in use. Make sure you take the batteries out when you are not using the camera. Because if you don't the next time to turn it on, it won't.

Besides eating tonsssss of battery usage. This camera doesn't take very good photos. I've taken better photos using disposable. It is a hit and miss on this camera. You can either get lucky and get a decent picture, or completely have a useless photo. Odds are you'll get a crappy photo unless you take tons of them and get a decent few.

Cheap Camera
2 Star Review   By member spiffcraig - Apr 18, 2006

Strengths: Small and lightweight; takes decent still shots in good light

Weakness: Drains batteries; slow shot speed; very low res lcd (and tiny)

Thought I would get this camera as a worry-free, carry around for insurance purposes (car accidents, etc...). Might work alright for this if batteries would last longer in it - should try the new lithium based batteries if you are going to get this camera. After pressing the shutter button, it takes a couple of seconds before the shot actually is taken. If there is motion, the picture will be blurry; if you move your hand too soon, it will be blurry. The picture quality isn't terribly great to begin with, but the pictures ARE better than what the LCD screen can show. I have found that it's easier to frame the shots through the eyepiece than it is through the LCD screen, just because of the low-resolution LCD. Personally, I don't think it was worth the $50 I paid for it, and I wouldn't recommend this camera unless you can get it for about $20; even then, give it to your child to start them out on a camera - don't expect this to be a real solution to photography needs.

Argus QC3185
1 Star Review

Weakness: everything

This camera is very cheaply made. There is no zoom or focus. All pictures are extremely blurry. Don't waste your money. It comes in a heavy plastic containter that you have to cut open. Once opened, I got charged 15% by Sears to return it. There was no other way to test it if I didn't open it. Bad choice.
