Quality and convenient
I bought this for my husband before our honeymoon. He has been into photography for some time but never really worked with a dsrl. He caught on quick with this camera and has taken some wonderful shots! Hiking during our honeymoon he got GREAT pictures far and up close (and not having to switch out the lens was key). Traveling on boat and while driving we captured crisp clear landscape pictures. I definitely recommend.

Easy to use, lots of features.
This is the first DSLR that we have owned, coming from a Sony Compact camera. There is a world of difference in the capabilities of the camera vs a point and shoot. My only "complaint" is that when in sport mode (or other rapid fire shooting) when you are saving the pictures as RAW+ JPG, you can get maybe 10, then you have to wait for it finish transferring to the card. Now I have a Class 10 high speed card, so it has to do with the buffer in the camera. We use the faster shooting modes, as we have young kids, dog, and the quick shutter speed combined with lots of pictures, will get us a good result. Having the JPG for everyday pics but the choice of using RAW for the really good pictures is great as well. Otherwise, this is a great camera, and it is only a minor gripe. My wife loves the camera and she just leaves it in Auto mode most of the time. I try to use the more advanced features, so it has something for everyone.

A good lens for the T2i
The bundle with 18-135 mm is awesome, much better than the 18-55 you find everywhere

I have used this camera for numerous outdoor shots, each of them have turned out splendidly. This camera can do a lot, but it is not too complicated for a beginner to use. Each time I use it, I discover a new reason why I like it. For example, ISO and ape

Well used ... now a review:
I was surprised to get an excellent photo of LIDAR (LASER Radar) w/ the milky way in the background! I am thoroughly enjoying my transition from film to DSLR with this camera.

I am a newspaper reporter and used the camera the night I got it at a basketball game with terrific results. Very easy to learn/use! I also take lots of landscape photos and the automatic exposure bracketing feature is great for creating HDR images. The video feature is the one place I would fault it because I prefer to use the viewfinder rather than the LCD screen when I shoot. It also doesn't have a continuous auto-focus for moving subjects; however, it gets the job done.

I shoot air shows, sports, wildlife, and fire scenes on a regular basis. This camera exceeds my expectations every time. I am sure that the expensive pro models out perform it but know that this fulfills all of my current needs.

Good First Digital
Just switched from film to digital and used the 2Ti as a test bed. I have not shot much film since and will be upgrading equipment to all digital. I will keep the T2i as a backup.

Our Top Yearbook Camera
I wanted to add a new camera to use on our yearbook staff. It needed to be affordable and also able to take photos in gyms and at night football games. That means high ISO. We're still testing the camera but so far it has been a great addition to our camera list. The students love it and the photos look good.

Great Camera, lens only good...
Purchased this kit from local camera shop late May 2010. Always wanted a DSLR. A HS Graduation and family vacation to DC finally justified the expense. Love the camera capabilities, easy of use, handling and features. The EF-S 18-135 IS lens is the weak point. While more capable than the 18-55 IS it is sometimes slow to focus and hunts for focus. Not repeatable enough to cure or change the way I use it. Plus the 135 just doesn't quite reach for it's size and weight.Tough choice, but if I had it to do again. Instead of buying this [$] kit, I think I would buy the body and a Sigma or Tamron 18-200 w OS or VC (IS). Probably the Tamron 18-270 VC lens. OR a good 17-50 or 17-85 IS and then add the Tamron 70-300 VC or Canon 70-300 IS USM.Looked at the Canon T2i, T1i, XSi, Nikon D5000 and Pentax Kx. All are great cameras and you can't go wrong with any. Choose the one that you can afford, feels best to your hand then go shoot! BTW, don't forget to check for 'refurbished' cameras at Adorama! Had I only known then! Just ordered a refurbished XSi kit for one of my teenagers! This T2i kit brought out an interest in outdoor/wildlife photography one of my teenagers and I both have and can learn, share and experience together. Another 'had I known...' Becoming an "Enthusiast"!

this purchase was an upgrade from a rebel xt and i'm satisfied with the quality of the product and results achieved in comparison with the price. the photo results are much better than the old XT. my other choice would have been the 7D but the extra expense to create photos that are mostly for my own enjoyment was more than i wanted to spend.

A great product[@]
T2i from Canon is another great product - we must admit that. The camera really knocks off all other opponents, competitors ( I love Nikon, but I must admit this for the price and features T2i has)!!Indoor, tours, capture HD videos - Name it, T2i can do for you!! Video is a masterpiece in this - a very rare blend in a DSLR it IS cryscal clear, and I am enjoying it in my Tru HD LED . LCD monitors!!If you ever thought about a Rebel T2i, dont hesitate - go for it; it will make a difference !!I have to comment about the 18-135 lens also, or else it will be a miss. This lens is not a Pro Lens, but it is everything which you will need which you can use as a walk-around, all round lens, for this budget. From wide angle to telephoto, this is a great lens, and it gives real sharp pictures. The lens is definitely a great buy for the price - Kit lens is really in lesser price, and is much superior in terms of reach in comparison to the other kit lens - 18-55.Good work Canon[...]

Got it and charged the battery....popped it into the camera and turned it on....NOTHING!!! No even a blink so a different battery was charged and placed in the camera....same result. It was sent back so hopefully the next one will work!

awesome in low light
except for the 12mins time limit and the fact that u need accessories to hold and audio limitation this cam is a winner for indie shoots.

Canon EOS Rebel T2i review at Camera Labs
Canon's EOS Rebel T2i is a very impressive DSLR which redefines what we can expect from the upper entry-level category. Just five months on from the high-end EOS 7D, the Rebel T2i delivers essentially the same image quality and flexible movie modes at half the price. But while the resolution and video capabilities are undoubtedly impressive, the camera's stood still in other respects which could...
