Excellent - But you already know that
Image quality is unsurpassed, the highest I've ever seen for an APS-C sized sensor. Easy to use with a magnificent viewfinder. I absolutely love the zone AF select, allowing you to select a zone of AF points instead of just one, allowing for lightning fas

Canon 7D review
landscape and nature photography are my game. Whether I use this or my Pentax K-5 depends on how far I'm hiking. The Canon is much heavier, even with a 35mm F/2 as opposed to the K-5 with a 35mm - and the Canon offers no better image quality, but it does

The 7D is a very competent piece of gear
From a pro photographer's point of view, portrait work is all about light, color, and trapping that special expression. I have used Nikon extensively over the years, and it is certainly good. But with the 7D, the color and nuanced shading in the highlights

7D stillneeds hands on adjustments
I had to sent it back to Canon twice to fix and adjust very soft focus. Very noisey in shadows and low light compared to 5D MKII. I wound not recommend it as a photo camera but as a video camera it is nice. Great with long lenses. My first choice, 5D MKII

I had a 60D and decided to buy the 7D for the burst rate. The burst rate is phenomenal but there are so many other things that you get in a pro camera that you dont get in a prosumer such as the autofocus points etc.

Wonderful Camera !
Needed an upgrade from the 50d - was all ready to buy the 6d when I realized a few of my lenses wouldn't work on it (6d is full frame, 7d is not). Ended up with the 7d but I am not disappointed - great camera - just as wonderful as the 50d..but BETTER!
