Description:

The Sony DT 35mm f/1.8 SAM Lens is designed for D-SLR cameras with DX-format sensors, so the lens has a 52.5mm equivalent focal length. This is perfect for snapshots and portraits under a wide range of shooting conditions. The ultra fast f/1.8 wide-open aperture along with the 7-blade circular diaphragm allows you to work in low light, and with a minimum focus distance of 9.05" (0.23m) the lens allows you to get in close to your subject.

Worth every penny

I decided to purchase the lense after I read good reviews and I was amazed especially in low loght . I used it in dark and it was like a daytime.The price is in mid range not expensive nor cheap.If you like to take pictures @ night that is the right lense. I use it with sony slt a57.

Excellent indoor lens

Nice indoor and lowlight lens. Optics are very good, lens is sharp. Focusing is not silent at all.

Great lens, but questionably spendy

I bought this lens based on the reviews, and it is no doubt one of the best lenses I've ever owned. Very sharp and has an almost ideal focal length for the NEX. The autofocus is a little slow in lower light, and I'm more dependent on continuous AF than other lenses. Clear , Crisp and alright!

Got this lens last April 2013 and so impressed with the quality of the pictures I had taken. Lens was so quick to focus and shots were so crisp. Low -light shots for indoors is now less of a problem.

Save some money. Buy this over the Zeiss 24/1.8

Previously I was using the Sony Zeiss 24/1.8 as my main lens on the NEX-5N. I liked it a lot but always wondered if it really was worth $1100.
