Firestone Tires Precision Sport 205/55R16
2.5 Star Review  productwiki.com - Dec 21, 2010

Firestone Precision Sport are performance tires designed for a variety of weather conditions. The accent is on reliability and handling, giving it a lower H speed rating as opposed to other Firestone line tires with S and W ratings. The tread pattern is designed to give performance handling in a wider variety of weather conditions, with large 3D block edge shapes to increase the stiffness of the tire for better handling. Wear is managed through the distribution of the tread slots and siping, which allows for the tire to wear down evenly. This has the added effect of keeping more of the tire in contact with the road, improving handling. Grooves around the circumference of the tire work to channel water out from underneath, increasing resistance to hydroplaning. Features All-season driving Optimized Tread Pattern 3D Block Edge Shapes Tread Slot/Siping Distribution Circumferential Grooves Sizes: 24.1 - 26.6 in diameter Speed Rating: H ... PROS: (1) performance on ice is very good, gains traction quickly (2) wet traction is above average (3) strong resistance to hydroplaning over puddles (4) good traction in less than 3 inches of snow ... CONS: (1) doesnt handle gravel roads well, tends to slide around (2) looses traction in snow deeper than 3 inches, starts sliding around (3) tend to vibrate on the highway, makes an uncomfortable ride
