Very good appliance
5 Star Review   By Britsabroard on Home Depot - Jun 18, 2013

Looks good and does the job well. Clothes come out clean ans the machine is very quiet. Looked at many other washing machines before buying this one. Has the best features and the quality is very good.

Love this washer!
5 Star Review   By ashcrt on Home Depot - Jun 15, 2013

Granted, I am comparing it to the 21 year old Kenmore that it's replacing, but this washer does it all. It's quiet, washes huge loads of laundry, spins them almost dry so the dryer doesn't have to work as hard, and has lots of features and settings for everything you'd ever need. Haven't seen my electric or water bills yet, but I'm confident they'll both be less than usual. A wash load takes longer than with the old machine, but since I can wash 1 1/2 times the amount in one load as I could before, it doesn't matter. Great machine!!

Front Load HE - I made the right choice.
5 Star Review   By Gordy on Home Depot - Jun 13, 2013

When my small top load washer broke, I went shopping at the local retailers and began my search for a new machine. The last time I shopped for a washer was 15 years ago. Things had changed over the past 15 years. I didn't know if I wanted to buy an inexpensive machine similar to the one I had, or a new modern type. When I discovered the top load High Efficiency washer, I liked it. No agitator. Stainless steel tub. Plenty of room to wash blankets. Save on water and electricity (drying time). I was shown a small simulated model - how the HE top load works. It looked impressive. I went on Youtube and saw a video demonstration. I became less impressed. I also spoke to a woman who owned one and she was not happy with her HE top load. So, I eliminated that one as one of my choices. Since I had been going to the local laundromat, I took a liking to the front load washers. They were not High Efficiency. They were the traditional fill up with water type. They still use less water than my old top load, but they seemed expensive. After looking for several months, I saw what I thought I was looking for - on sale, on the internet. It was the Samsung front load. I went to the local store to get a closer look at one. Later I ordered it online. It seemed like the exact model that I really wanted - Front Load Washer with a "10 year Warranty Direct Drive Motor" label on the machine. It was delivered within a week. The delivery went very well. I was very satisfied. Here's the surprise - I thought it would fill with water like the old traditional washers. It didn't. It was a "High Efficiency" Front load washer. I sat there and watched several loads. I liked what I saw. This machine, in my opinion, is better than the traditional front load washers. In other words, better than the one I thought I was buying. I save on water ($). I save on drying time ($). My clothes come out clean and well rinsed. You MUST use high efficiency detergent (HE" label - sold in all retail stores). The electronic controls are simple and easy to use. You still should read the manual. It's helpful. I use the High Speed Spin Cycle (Wow!). The last rinse cycle is hot water. I like that. Your clothes come out warm. The other cycles use cold water. It saves on energy ($). Here's my recommedation - buy a FRONT LOAD High Efficiency machine, not a top load high efficiency. Your clothes wash and rinse better in a front load washer. My opinion - I think the High Efficiency technology is meant for "front load rotation". It doesn't work as well in the top load washers. It's in the tumbling and spinning. The Samsung Front Load Energy Saver is a great washing machine. I'm happy with it. I made the right choice.

An excellent choice, replaced a repair plagued Whirlpool Duet
5 Star Review   By JcJc on Home Depot - Jun 11, 2013

Just plain excellent. Quiet, easy to run, easy to clean the filter from the front access door. We used our old duet pedestal by cutting two board and fitting them under the washer between the washer and pedestal saving additional $. A Win, Win, Win.

I HATE IT
1 Star Review   By wagggg on Home Depot - Jun 8, 2013

At first I was not going to bother writing a review on this Korean junk washer so other people would end up getting stuck with it just as I did but since I depend on reviews of products before I buy them I decided to give you fair warning. I purchased both washer and dryer, I do really like the dryer but this washer really is pitiful. If you don't mind washing clothes in cold water it's ok since it uses such a small amount of water there isn't time for hot water to reach the washer unless your water tank is located right next to it. The built in heater is too small to heat up the water. It doesn't fill up with enough water to completely wash body oils out of the clothes. Your whites come out smelling like bleach because it mixes the bleach from the automatic dispenser with the rinse water instead of the wash water. It takes about 90 to 100 minutes to wash a load. I could not get service from the Samsung call center. I had to go back to Home Depot and speak face to face with a manager in order to get a service call. Now to top it off, when the service man came out he told me that it was my responsibility to unbolt and unstack the 130lb dryer from the top of the washer so he could gain access to the electronics. I had to stack it since I have a very small laundry room.

The yellow Energy Guide label says it costs $10 a year to operate this machine.
5 Star Review   By Cydarion on Home Depot - Jun 5, 2013

I was skeptical at first. The Samsung uses a lot less water and a full load takes 58 minutes, (half load 27 minutes)but I have to admit, the end result is clean, fresh clothing. It's simple to use, has adequate features and remember; it's front loading. When I'm finished, I leave the door open and by the time I've used the dryer, any condensate has evaporated from inside the washer. I'm satisified.

The washer is great, and efficient but very shaky and noisy. Too loud when spin cycle comes around.
1 Star Review   By PCastellon10 on Home Depot - Jun 4, 2013

I thought the product was going to be quite, and not bothersome at all being that it was for the second floor. To my surprise it was exhausting just to get one wash done because I had to hold the washer when it was on spin cycle. Very, very disturbing. I would have loved to replace the washer if I could.

Does a good job
4 Star Review   By naturelady on Home Depot - May 28, 2013

So far I am very happy with my new washing machine. It gets the clothes clean and spins them very dry. It is also much quieter than my previous front loader. It has a very large capacity and a big door so it is easy to load although sometimes the clothes fall out. It has many options for a variety of loads variations. Unfortunately although they advise leaving the door open to dry out, the door is weighted to self close unless it is WIDE open which leaves it sticking way out. Also although the chime for end of cycle is charming, it is not loud enough to be heard from the basement - my last washer I could hear. It is larger than my last washer so make sure it fits your space. My last washer gave me 10 good years ...if this one does the same I will be very happy.

I have only had the washer for almost a month, but it seems to be working well! I am impressed with how much it will actually hold. It doesn't look like it would hold that much--but it does! We do not have children, so we were not in the market for a large capacity machine. We are, however, very busy and athletic people, so we go through a lot of clothing! The machine is very quiet compared to our old top-loader, but this machine takes a longer time in washing our clothes than our old one. It's not a huge problem--just surprising. The matching dryer with this machine is a fast-worker, though! So, if you get caught wanting to go to bed before you can put your load in the dryer--no worries! Put it in the dryer in the morning and your clothes will be dry in no time! I can see where a mold problem could exist at the rubber seal where the door fits. We dry it well after every use and keep the door open when not in use. We have yet to see a problem. Just be proactive about keeping it dry! Get ready to be surprised when the washer tells you it's finished--it plays a happy little tune for about 30 seconds. It is as if the machine is happy about doing your laundry and is proud of a job well-done. It is much more pleasant than an ugly buzzer!

Impressed
5 Star Review   By JoeB on Home Depot - Apr 29, 2013

Have been impressed with it's preformance so far. Front panel time remaining indicction is a great feature. Will see what the difference is in my PG&E & PUC bill;but I can see that it uses a lot less water than the old machine. Combined rebate made it a real bargan. Only issuse are that it tends to "Walk" a little (floor slopes so not surprised). Could not jstify the price of the pedestal, but that would eliminate stooping to load & unload.

nice washer
4 Star Review   By Halo on Home Depot - Mar 19, 2013

This is my second Samsung washer. The first one worked perfectly and is in my rental home, I would have given this second washer a 5 star but the day after it was delivered and set up it stopped working and locked up with the wet clothes inside! I had to call Home Depot and they sent a technician out the next day, The washer has worked just fine ever since. I recommend this washer and would buy another one.

Solid machine with decent features
4 Star Review   By PhoenixSasquatch on Home Depot - Jan 22, 2013

I think I got a smoking deal on this washer--with discounts it came to $628. I checked Consumer Reports, and this particular Samsung model was recommended and was one of the more reliable brands. The capacity is huge, and I really like the delay start and the "eco warm" water option. One feature I wish it had is a "soak" cycle. I wash mainly using cool water temps, and the soak cycle helps loosen ground-in stains without having to jack up my electric bill. Of course, I can always press "pause" on the wash cycle and make my own soak cycle. Apart from that minor gripe, a very good, solid washer.

Model # WF361BVBEWR Samsung
5 Star Review   By PVFTBALL on Home Depot - Dec 16, 2012

feel of clothing after washing feel clean no built up residue as with top loader. Vibration none if setup correctly, easy filler access, smooth adjustment knobs. As a housewife I cant always wait for my husband to set it up. I had W & D delivered and I set them up myself......had to know the product I purchased for future fixing.
