Does a great job.
5 Star Review   By Robbins on Home Depot - Jun 18, 2013

Love the fact that this machine is energy efficient. Senses how much water to use dependant on load size.

Initial Impression: Very Good Machine
4 Star Review   By Rick on Home Depot - Jun 16, 2013

My initial impression: this is a very good machine. Now, I've only had the machine 6-8 weeks, so I can't speak to the negative reviews that say they had issues with the machine after a long period (if I remember - I'll come back in a year and post another review)... what I can do is speak to the people who say the machine didn't work at the onset... I can only assume they had a busted machine or were dong something wrong, because this thing works terrific. To give you a context... I'm a single guy, washing mostly business-casual and gym clothes... I used to do 2-3 loads a week... now I can do 1-1.5 loads a week... I'm no longer seeing load imbalances... it's cleaning well, and with the quicker spin of this machine the clothes come out dryer than my old loads so I can dry a load twice the size in the same time as the older smaller loads... Anyhow - very good machine, the only reason I'm not putting it as a five star is because I hate giving out perfect scores, and I really haven't been able to test it out thoroughly... but my initial reaction is very pleased.

Happy with product
4 Star Review   By Snowmom on Home Depot - Jun 5, 2013

We've just had our washer/dryer for almost a month now, but I've thoroughly enjoyed them! Delivery guys were awesome...very professional and conscientious in their work...and the products are outstanding! I read alot of reviews before purchasing (alot of negative ones) but I kept coming back to the Maytag....and I am soooo glad that I did. If you take the time to read the manual and follow directions it is definitely worth the effort. Very happy with our purchase!

This product is way too noisey and very difficult to install.
2 Star Review   By chiefbdg on Home Depot - Jun 5, 2013

Bought the washer on sale on the Internet. I always thought Maytag was a very good appliance. This washer makes way too much noise, it shakes and takes a lot of getting used to it.

good price
5 Star Review   By chuck on Home Depot - Jun 4, 2013

The washing machine has performed well since it was installed, no complaints. It does take some getting used to with the locking lid and I would probably suggest they consider a glass door in the top, but that's a personnal preference on my part. Great appliance, no regrets.

Worst washer purchased in 45 years of marriage.
1 Star Review   By KK631 on Home Depot - May 31, 2013

I have the machine for 17 months and have disliked it from week 1. Wash does not come out clean, machine takes forever to adjust water level and some clothes still come out with dry spots where water has obviously not touched the item. All clothes come out so wrinkled that you must dry all items. I use to hang my expensive clothes, not drying them to keep their body. However, with the wrinkles created by this machine, I must now place every item in the dryer. I then must stand at the dryer pulling expensive items out after some wrinkles are removed and then hang them.

maytag washer
4 Star Review   By KatiesMom on Home Depot - May 28, 2013

I like the washer but wish you could soak clothes in it also. In order to get water into machine you have to start a load so the sensor reads it and it locks the machine. The sensor is also slow in responding to the start. If I had a choice, I would have selected a machine that did NOT have a sensor start. It seems to do a great job with big loads like quilts and sheets and cleans very well.

Awful Product
1 Star Review   By Ronnie on Home Depot - May 24, 2013

This washer simply doesn't get the clothes clean. I purchased this washer about a year ago. I put the clothes in and sometimes a few of them come out with dry spots still on them. I have to make the loads so small that it negates any energy savings since I have to do four times as many loads (and each load takes an entire hour!!). The clothes don't come out clean and I used to be able to hang my laundry on the line, but now there is so much lint on the clothes that I have to at least spin it in the dryer for awhile to get some of the lint off it. If I could afford it, I would sell this one and buy another. Worst appliance purchase ever!!!

Do Not Buy
1 Star Review   By Kristen122 on Home Depot - May 7, 2013

What a piece of junk this washer is. I bought it about a year ago and I have to go out and buy a new one tonight. It started to make really loud cranking noises while washing for the past months. It has finally stopped working. I bought this at a reasonable price. I called customer service and conveniently my 1 year warranty just expired. They offered me an extended warranty for $50 less than what I paid for it! What a joke. Second option was for them to send a third party to come out and fix it for $160 plus parts. In the end, I will taking the third option and buying new one, DIFFERENT BRAND!

Hate it
1 Star Review   By jocho30 on Home Depot - May 4, 2013

I wish I had my old washer back. I bought this one brand new and didn't like that it filled on its own. It never covers the clothes with enough water and I have suds left on them just about every time. Jeans are terrible. I have to either do the extra rinse or wash them over again since the mud from my son playing outside didnt come out. How efficient is that. I always do a full load so just fill the tub up and wash the clothes.

4 Star Review   By Binkleys06 on Home Depot - Apr 30, 2013

This washer is a really good value for what it cost. I can fit a ton of clothes in it and I love all the cycles and features. Only thing I don't like is the locking lid. Besides that its great.

DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!!
1 Star Review   By MissInformed on Home Depot - Mar 12, 2013

Desperate for a washer and tight on funds. This was a big mistake. Have done several loads trying to figure the best way to get my clothes clean and it just don't work. Clothes come out half wet/dry, everything, shirts, pants socks, and still dirty. I can't believe Maytag put this out on the market. Maytag has always been my pick....not no more.

Good value for the price
4 Star Review   By Sunflower55 on Home Depot - Feb 18, 2013

Good washer, I've been using it for couple months. Cloth comes out clean, uses much less water than traditional washers. Gentle cycle a bit too gentle leaving stains behind. No regrets if you buy this machine.

Unsatified
1 Star Review   By Motherof3 on Home Depot - Feb 5, 2013

Recently purchased and I regret wanting to save energy and water. It takes about 1hr 15 min to run full cycle. That is taking up energy and it fills about 4-5x for the wash and about the same for the rinse which would probably equal to being full to the top. How is this saving water. The fabric softener leaves blue stains in the clothes where it does not spread evenly. I just want a regular old simple washer.

Worst washer we've ever owned
1 Star Review   By Alex on Home Depot - Jan 22, 2013

This is by far the worst washer we've owned. Put simply, it doesn't clean. Without any agitation like the older washers with their agitator tower the clothes do not come out clean at all. I have to fool the washer by adding WET clothes or add more water in order to get a longer cleaning cycle. Underware comes out still dirty; my childs pillow case of vomit still comes out slimy; ketchup on my shirt is still there; and the list goes on and on. I'm giving this washer to the Good Will and purchasing another washer with the older type of agitator tower. Being energy conscious is meaningless if you can't get your clothes clean! Piece of junk that saves electricity and water but uses expensive soap. What good is it?

Mistake
1 Star Review   By mistake on Home Depot - Dec 13, 2012

I made the mistake of purchasing this washer. I have hated it from the day I bought it. It has the HE requirement. I have followed all the rules and it still does not get my clothes clean. It also slings the fabric softener all over the top of the drum and the lid. How do I get rid of it? I don't have a clear conscience to give to someone else.
